Critical hits

Critical hit as decribed by wikipedia: "In many role-playing games and computer and video games, a critical hit is a successful attack that deals more damage than a normal blow."

Many games have implemented critical hit system, it can make things a bit more interesting in cases of pvp as well as vs. monsters. I think would be a nice improvement for Runescape.

EDIT:I pictured it as the hit being different color than red or blue so it would be noticeable. Some people consider max hit to be the equivalent of a critical hit, I think that if this is the case the max hits should appear to be a different color than normal red.

Tell me what your opinion of this is.

We kinda already have this.... "Special Attack", on dragon weapons

Not all of them are dragon weapons. Rune claws, msb, etc.

I think the reason why we do not have c hits is because we have so many other ways to increase our hits. We have potions, prayer, specials, equipment specials, etc.

i tend to think of a critical hit to be somewhat random, so it would be different than a special attack.

you could also view the max possible hit of a weapon to be a critical hit, seeing as though you don't hit the maximum amount every time. so nje03, would your proposed critical hit be higher than the current maximums? maybe i have just misinterpreted you. :-k

Yes, that it would. It would be random, higher than max hit.

If RS get Critical Hit it start to remember Diablo2, what then next ?

IAS? (In Diablo2 IAS factor mean - Increased Attack Speed what is actual for melee and rangers - If you wear stuff with IAS bonus you start to attack faster but that kind stuff not give damage bonus and you do less damage but faster)

Or FCR? (Faster Cast Rate factor for casters like Mages same as IAS just for spell casting if thing add fcr bonus normally he not add damage bonus );

Then maybye we will get MF? (magic find factor - is like RS Ring Of Wealth but is just stat which mean then if you are highter MF you get better drop, but things with MF bonus normaly not add other bonuses so much).

I just imagined what happen if we start to adaptate things from D2 :)

Suggestion: You can use Anchor on Waterfiends - is cheap if to compare to GS & effective with crush attack & it hit like Whip.

That is...logical. or more so than lowering the mage max hit to 4... :wall:

If you jump into a river in Paris, you're insane. If you jump into a river in Egypt, you're in denial.
