There really isn't a point to see who viewed your post. I guess what I am trying to say is why should this be implemented? What's the point in spending time on it?

However I'd love to see a post counter. You could see who has the most posts on the topic, it would be kind of neat. ^^

thats my issue with that too. For example as a moderator on the offical forum I often see the suggestion "let us know if a moderator has viewd our thread"
Well the sad fact is that we don't know how to correctly moderaet every thread and somtimes we leave a thread for another moderator to deal with who understands the situation better. I would imagin it is the same on tip it, where a mod does not know the situation or simpaly does not have the time to deal with somthing.
This would reflect badly on the moderator OR would make it look as if a thread was "ticked off" as ok.
It's the same for every user though..... people just don't want others to know what threads they have viewed or not.

you can have a guess how quickly that'll grow. If it was in place from the start, you'd have millions of entires, those few bytes start to up add pretty damn quick.

Couldn't there be an auto delete for data stored past 7 minutes long? After 7 minutes of one view, its deleted...? Or is that not possible on php?

Omg that's happening to you too!? I thought I was the only one... Can other people still see your posts and stuff..?
On topic.. hmmm, I don't support, because of the many good reasons described by others.

How do you 2 think the "Who's online?" at the bottom of the index works.
Edit: The phpbb errors have been happening for several hours now. Don't know if Albosky has been notified about it yet. I know at least one of the mods knew about it on IRC earlier.

Sorry to get off subject but I have tried to notify Albosky for hours but my PM box is all messed up. I'll keep trying. I'm sure he knows.

I totally did not make that connection.>.<
But I'm still against this, disregarding the fact I asked about if it was possible to do such things.
