Celestial surgebox

Does the surgebox work with Tank Class? If so, it would be better for keyers than novite kite/anti drag shield.

Not sure if it explicitly counts as a shield.

I've wondered about flameburst as well.

I have a quetion that havent gotten completly answered

say you have a surge box with 200 charges, and use them all - do yo start the next dung with 200 charges or 125???

at thesame time, if you put in 1k charges, and doesnt use them, you start next dung with 1k it seems..

but if you use down t 800, do you start next dung with 800 or 1k charges (basically same question twice)

As far as i've heard, the charges work like any other ammo bind- you can bind however many you want, but if it's above 125, you will have 125 at the start of any dungeon. 125 wind surges seems more than enough, though it's a pity you have to make fires/staff for fire surge.

Fire staff isn't to hard to get though. Blood spindle branches, which are about 2k each from the shop, make a basic fire staff. Sure its not 10% damage, but it should be easy to pick one up with left over cash selling items at the start of the round.

When we get another one as a drop, I'll see if I can rebind my sword with the box to have 2 items + the box as ammo. If that works, it might even be a better idea to put a cel cat staff with it for 30% damage with 125 casts to start. All you would have to make is fire runes. The major question would be, once the box is binded with 2 items binded, if one bind is broken does the box recount as 1 item and ammo again. If so, then you would have to get a box drop on the same floor as the other item you wanted to bind.

I don't understand why binding the surgebox is such a big problem- it's dropped by one of the most common monsters in daemonheim, and all implications are that it's not even rare. Having to rebind one after 100 dg and 120 dg shouldn't at all be anything major. From what i've heard, it's much easier to replace a surgebox than a primal bind(prim plate or baxe, for example).

It's more that it's a glitch (likely), which means this problem shouldn't even exist.

I know that it's a glich, but it's nothing major really. If you want one, you'll have to deal with it, and it doesn't look like dealing with it is anything major. Some time in the near future jagex will fix this, but until then, i don't see the reason to complain.

SurgeBox, looking forward to my next ice stryke task.

Taken from page 8 of today's update thread. Sorry to burst your bubble.

What bubble did this burst, exactly..?

Sorry to bring this up so late in the thread but I haven't been back on TIF since I posted that.

Just to clarify I didn't know the boxes had a damage booster every 5 monsters or whatever it is, I though Op was talking about the Magic Damage +%. So that's the bubble I thought I was bursting...

Why can't the Big Bang be done by the hand of God?

It could have, but it is next to impossible because it also could have been caused by the flying spaghetti monster, or one of the other infinite number of deity possibilities.

Didn't bother reading this thread but I heard you can use it as a shield w/ tank ring, and w/ quickswitch between tank and berserker + primal baxe/long it has the potential to save a lot of food

but then again that's just my theory, should probably be tried out first

i've seen about 5 primal battle axes, 2 primal platebodies, and a hexhunter drop, versus 1 celestial surgebox since the last DG update.

Quickswitch still doesn't work in combat, so you could choose depending on room, but not while you're in it (presumably under attack).

The difference is, those items can only be gotten on ~6 specific floors if you are lucky with the boss- you can get a surgebox on any floor and complexity. A friend said his team got 3 surgeboxes on one occult floor so...

Currently confirmed. You CANNOT bind new items if you have the surge box bound.

For instance..

You have

Prom 2h

Prom Plate

and Surge box as ammo.

You find a SSH, and want to bind it, so you destroy your plate, and try to bind it. However, even after destroying your plate, you still cannot bind the hood since the Box apparently counts as an item bind.

I severely hope this is a glitch, and the box was intended to ONLY be an ammo bind.

I'm hoping it's a glitch, I found that out the hard way. Bound the box and found out i couldn't bind a staff afterwards, so had to destroy the box once I got a celest staff, and haven't gotten one back yet.
