Teemupets
I am currently working with some court cases. I will post walktroughs here as soon as I get new summons. I am planning to defend all the cases (although I might want to prosecute H.A.M for attacking the cave goblins), so I need a prosecutor to work the cases the other way.CURRENT CASES:The Mugger vs. The People (post 7)The Sandwich lady vs. The People (post 8)The River Troll vs. The People (post 10)Drunken Dwarf notes (chose to defend but made some notes for prosecution as well) post 11Ernest vs. Professor Oddestein (prosecution, no info needed)Good Twin vs. Evil Twin (defence, found a Youtube clip which tells how to win either way)Gravedigger vs. The People (Defence) post #14Mime vs. the People (Defence) post 15Party Pete vs. The Neighbors (Defence, no info needed)The Frog Prince vs. The People (Defence) post #16CASES UNDER WORK:Miss Schism vs. Draynor Village (Defence)Crew edit:Current progress:ProsecutionMugger (Level-6) vs. Roger MurrayRiver Troll vs. The PeopleEvil Twin vs. Good TwinRick Turpentine vs. The PeopleParty Pete vs. NeighboursMiss Schism vs. Draynor VillageSawmill Man vs. The PeopleEvil Dave vs. The PeopleThe Frog Prince vs. The PeopleThe Sandwich Lady vs. The PeopleGravedigger vs. The PeopleThe Mime vs. The PeopleErnest vs. Professor OddensteinH.A.M. vs. DorgeshuunBarbarians vs. WizardsDrunken Dwarf vs. the PeopleDefenceMugger (Level-6) vs. Roger MurrayRiver Troll vs. The PeopleEvil Twin vs. Good TwinRick Turpentine vs. The PeopleParty Pete vs. NeighboursMiss Schism vs. Draynor VillageSawmill Man vs. The PeopleEvil Dave vs. The PeopleThe Frog Prince vs. The PeopleThe Sandwich Lady vs. The PeopleGravedigger vs. The PeopleThe Mime vs. The PeopleErnest vs. Professor OddensteinH.A.M. vs. DorgeshuunBarbarians vs. WizardsDrunken Dwarf vs. the People Me behave? Kimberly
There is already a walkthrough for it: http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=court_cases.htm :) I don't think that's what he meant. I think he was talking about detailed walkthroughs for each case.
Teemupets
Let's make this clear then: I have details to Mugger and Sandwich lady defence cases, but I'm asking do you really need them? The cases aren't that hard (at least those weren't) and you can try them out as many times as you want. I'm sure everyone can find out how to win, but if someone really needs a walktrough or a tip (not a spoiler) we could offer it. Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladdin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pacman ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies. Tecmaster
Hey, thanks for the suggestion. I agree that we should have a detailed walkthrough for each court case made available for those that have trouble solving them. I'll do my best to see if we can create these walkthroughs, although it could take some time. :) Owner of the Quest Point Cape

Teemupets
Mugger (Level-6) vs. Roger Murray This will be be assigned when you present yourself at the clerk after completing King's Ransom. He will there has been an influx of cases after you helped to defend Anna. He asks you if you are willing to help and assings you your first easy case. Reviewing Case Reports and Talking with the Defendant After you have been assigned for the case, search the filing cabinet to receive 3 case reports. In the first one you have to match the fingerprints, which can be checked with the magnifying glass. The two others will tell about the prosecuter and the victim. Read these to find some vital information for winning the case. Talking to the mugger is useless, as he only keeps saying "I didn't do it!" Investigating the Crime Scene Not included in this case. Presenting Evidence At the start of court, the judge will give you a quick reminder how the things work here, but he will not do it in other cases unless you ask him for it. The prosecuter will 3 evidence: the mask, the nightstick and the fingerprint. Your job is to negate this evidence and therefore prove your client's innocence. The mask -> it's not a crime to wear a mask. He wore it to cover and ugly scar. The nightstick -> the nightstick was found on my client. But he was walking in Edgeville - a very dangerous region due to Wilderness - so it would be unwise to do so unarmed. The fingerprint -> you will automatically point out it would be odd if it WASN'T there; it just proves your client had it at the time of arrest, but it does not prove he had used it on anything. Calling Witnesses Call Roger Murray and ask him about the attack. Now, if you read the case reports, you will rise out an interesting fact; the money was never found on the suspect. As you push him further, he will claim that the money "was misplaced or the officers kept it themselves." This will raise a very high doubt about his actions. Lastly, call the arresting officer and ask him about the victim. He will point out that he is a poor gambler and would do almoust anything for money. He has also had trouble with the guards before and has been anything but truthful. This will make him an unqualified witness. Appealing to a Juror Finally, it is time to end your case. Choose a member of jury who you would like to appeal (someone related to the case). At first time you can see in-game expressions, but you will no longer receive them after the mugger case. In this case, the best choose is the Shady guy, as he is wearing a mask to. Confirm to appeal on him and you will give out a speech about the stereotypes which ruin this world. If you did all this succesfully, the jury should find your client not guilty. After this exit the gate behind you and go talk to cleck to receive your reward. Me behave? Teemupets
The Sandwich Lady vs. The PeopleThis case is pretty similar to the Mugger case although this is a bit harder one. Just follow the "red line" shown on the Mugger guide and you should win this case without difficulties. Reviewing Case Reports and Talking with the Defendant After getting the summons go and talk to the clerk. Search the cabinet for crime scene reports, match the fingerprint and read about the accused and the victim. Pay attention to what they have been carrying at the time of arrest, as this becomes very useful during the case. Talking to Sandwich Lady is useless though, as she just claims "I didn't do it!" Investigating the Crime Scene Not included in this case. Presenting Evidence Again, watch and learn about the evidence the prosecuter is presenting. The prosecuter will also call witnesses and ask them about the incident. The situation may seem hard but you should be able to prove Sandwich Lady innocent. "Baquette" -> Just a loaf ot bread. It's not cracked and the stuffing is still there. This helps to prove it was never used for hitting anyone."Fingerprint" -> You will automatically point out as a lawyer (not as a thief) that any self-respecting thief wears gloves of silence that leave no fingerprints."Coin purge" -> The coin purge was full of money. This doesn't really prove anything but it shows that Sandwich Lady is a remarkable businesswoman so how could she profit if she kept hitting customers?"Cake" -> If the victim was on breadline, how was he carrying an expensive cake with him? The cake is the foundation of your case. Calling Witnesses Ask Simon Sez about the cake. He will tell he was just wandering around the market and looking at delicious treats that he couldn't afford for. If he can't afford to buy treats, how can he have the most expensive cake with him? As you push him further he claims that he "got it for free from the cook, as he needed something fattable." This raises a very high doubt about his actions and motives. Naturally, you should ask Sandwich Lady about the incident. She will tell Simon tried to rob him and she was just defending herself. Appealing to a Juror The most natural choice to me seemed the Cook, as he also bakes bread and tries to fight off thieves from stealing them. You will not give out a long speech, just a warning not to let Ardougne market turn into free-for-all area and that you need to protect the everyone's business. WARNING: You do NOT get any more details about the members of jury so you have to either read them from Mugger guide or follow your heart and choose the most relevant member. If you have done this all correctly you should win the case. Me behave? Teemupets
This case is pretty simple. Even though the river troll admits leaving some stuff behind, you can still win this case easily. Talking with the Defendant As in other simple cases, the river troll will just sober up "I dunno what the problem is." Investigating the Crime Scene Not involded in this case. Presenting Evidence Spinach rolls -> Not a common food for trolls. Trolls are carnivores, so they don't eat spinach rolls. It was unlikely dropped by the client. Raw fish -> The accused was found eathing this fish. River trolls eat fish washed up ashore, and adventurers dropping fish on the shore to make more room on their backpack are not accused for littering either. Half-key -> Was found near the suspect, not in his posession. River trolls live under bridges and eat goats so why would they need keys anyway? Calling Witnesses Call the Arresting officer and ask him about the arrest. He will tell that they saw him in the beach, but never saw him to drop anything. So there is no evidence for littering. Call the River Troll and ask him about about the Catherby. He will tell it is his home and people come with sharp sticks and threaten him, so he is simply defending his home. Anyone would do that if their home would be invaded. Appealing to a Juror This seemed to be a tougher choice, however I found out the best option. Choose to appeal to Desert Dweller, as she doesn't have much love for mainlanders. The trolls home and food source have been invaded in daily basis and the prosecution has no proof that he was littering at all. You see this whole court case useless. After this your client should be declared as not guilty. REWARD: 3,500 Defence xp, 20 sharks (noted) Me behave? Teemupets
I chose to defend Drunken Dwarf but I managed to make some notes during the trial for prosecution: - He had a beer class at the time of arrest -> he had drunk it earlier -> danger to himself and the others.- Why would anyone be sober to munch kebab if not - Botron had chat turnes off, but as the dwarf was named "Drunken Dwarf" he thought he was drunk.- Karim hasn't seen dwarf to interact with anyone else away from his stand. Appeal to is likely to be Young Woman (safety). DEFENDING NOTES (possibly exist already, but giving out anyway) Fingerprint (automatical) -> he had handled the rock, but it does not link it to the incident.Beer -> made of glass and smells like beer. He has gotten it from somewhere and kept it for some reason, but it does not tell that he had drunk it.Kebab -> dwarf in known to hand out kebabs. Noble person like Robin hood. Victim: Ask about skilling habits. He will tell that he was AFK during the incident and therefore has not seen it at all!Kebab seller: Ask whether he has or has not seen him attack anyone. He tells that he may get drunk but he is socially capable. Appeal -> Young man (likes rowdy party.) REWARD: 5000 attack/defence xp, 20 gold ores (noted), kebab Me behave? Fire_God
Gravedigger vs. The People (Defense) This is a quick and easy case where Leo the Gravedigger has been accused of grave robbing because the graves are all out of order Reviewing Case Reports and Talking with the Defendant After you have been assigned for the case, search the filing cabinet to receive 2 case reports and a viewing orb. The first one will tell about the prosecuter and the victim. The second one presents the relavant evidence. Read these to find some background information about the case. Talking to Leo is useless, as he only keeps saying "I didn't do it!" Investigating the Crime Scene Use the magnifying glass on the mausoleum and see a fingerprint. Make sure to match it up (for me it matched to the freaky forester). Use the magnifying glass on all the graves and tomb stones and find that they are out of order and that the print on the stones does not match any of the three choices given. Presenting Evidence The prosecuter will present 3 pieces of evidence: the mud on the boots, the mixed up coffins, and the fingerprint. Your job is to negate some of the evidence and therefore prove your client's innocence. The muddy boots -> So what if there is mud on his boots, there is mud everywhere. The coffin -> The coffin is not empty, there is no way he could have robbed the graves Calling Witnesses There is no one to call for this case. Appealing to a Juror Finally, it is time to end your case. A good choice is the elderly citizen as both he and Leo are getting old. Confirm to appeal on him and you will give out a speech about age and forgetfulness. You will also mention the strange fingerprint on the graves. If you did all this succesfully, the jury should find your client not guilty. After this exit the gate behind you and go talk to cleck to receive your reward. Reward 9000 Defense xp and a mystery box (the same type you can get from random events containing random items) Trying is just the first step in failure. Teemupets
For the Twins case, check out this youtube clip. Me behave? Seriously? Teemupets
GRAVEDIGGER VS THE PEOPLE (DEFENCE) - 2 case reports to read and a viewing orb.- No witnesses to interview.- Leo doesn't have anything helpful to say. Viewing orb: - Use magnifying glass on mauloseum to discover that the lock has been rusted tight (no one has been in lately...) and to find a fingerprint. Confirm the match with Leo's fingerprints.- Use magnifying glass on any grave to find out that mud has been disturbed recently. However, nothing seems to be missing from a grave, so it isn't technically graverobbing if nothing is stolen.- Use magnifying glass on any gravestone to find a fingerprint which doesn't match any of the suspects! EVIDENCE IN COURT: - Fingerprint: You automatically point that is obvious that Leo's fingerprint is found at the mauloseum; he works there! What prosecution neglects that there are mysterious fingerprints that the court failed to identify in the gravestones, so there must have been a stranger present at the crime scene.- Muddy boots: "There is mud on his boots. So what?" You point out that you can get your boots muddy from anywhere.- Coffin: "The coffin is not empty." When coffin is not empty, it can't have been robbed. Alternative theory is that Leo, an old man, has been forgetful and buried wrong coffins in wrong graves, but forgetfulness it not a crime. Appeal on Elderly gentleman. You can't prosecute your client for a simple mistake he was ATTEMPTING to correct before being crudely interrupted. After all this, it should be clear that jury will vote for "not guilty." REWARD: 9,000 defence xp and a mystery box Me behave? Teemupets
Interview (he won't speak, but he will mime the events) You went looking for a party? You went to the party and saw a pretty girl? You asked her to dance, and she agreed? Her boyfriend showed up? You taunted the boyfriend and he got REALLY angry? You got knocked out and don't remember? ------------------------------------------------------- Fingerprints aren't part of this case, because mime was wearing gloves (and he didn't really commit a physical crime) No evidence to present at this case. The Mime -> The girl. The girl was not a mime and she failed to mention her boyfriend BEFORE flirting and dancing. So mimewas just innocently asking for a dance.Arresting officer -> The tip. The tip was anonymous and there was no one at the crime scene when the officer arrived. So,no proof, no witnesses and anonymous tip...Party Pete -> The mime. Party Pete didn't see Mime to provoke or make rude gestures to boyfriend. APPEAL: You will have to perform it with emotes! Bow -> dance -> raspberry -> cheer. REWARD: 9000 defence xp, a mystery box and faint-emote. Me behave? Teemupets
The Frog Prince vs. The People (Defence) The frog is being accused for impersonating royalty to in order to get kisses (what a weird crime). Interview both the frog and Flora and ask all the questions. Then go to Arresting officer and do the same. There are no fingerprints because frog doesn't techically have fingers and the ink slid off his fingers. ---------------------------------------------------------- The Case: Princess dress -> You automatically point out that frog was just trying to be generous and Flora mistook a simple gift as a marriage proposal. The Frog Prince -> The dress -> It is customary in his country to give gifts to those who help you. He sent one of his minions to give it to her and the gift was from "fancy dress shop", not directly from him so he didn't intend to propose her. Flora -> The dress -> The frog never gave a verbal or written proposal to her so there is no proof that he would have asked to marry her. Arresting officer -> The Arrest -> Frog does live in other plane and the other frogs refer to him as "Prince" and "Your highness" so it may be possible that he is indeed a prince. Appeal seemed hard but the best choice is Desert Dweller. It is hard to recall a case where such a generosity has led to someone taken to court. The frog is a stranger from a strange land and does not understand our customs and made something we can consider a mistake. That doesn't mean that he would be harmful! Surely anyone can symphatise in his situation. After this it is 100% sure that jury will declare verdic NOT GUILTY. REWARD: 9,000 defence xp and a mystery box. This was my 10th case to complete. Hope you like what you read :^_^: Me behave? Seriously?
