[Sydan] 2366 / 2475 - Nexing (solo Nex log) - 2nd Pernix Cowl solo & Torva platelegs duo

Recommended Posts

I posted a new blog, because I want to have "clear start" as a start of new goal - and due to fact my old blog was getting lost somewhere deep in the bitspace of BlogScape. I also reckon a new topic draws more attentiont than a blog that's a year old with not so many posts. :P

Introduction:

[hide]Hey, My characther name is Sydan, and I'm 19 years old high school student from Finland. Actually, I'm just about to graduate from high school. After that I was planning to find work for about half a year, before I go back to studying - in university. That's atleast how I think about it now. I've been playing RuneScape from late 2001, on and off till now. First time I created blog, that actually lasted, was about month and a year ago - in August 2010. That's when I also started bloggin' in each level I get, and keep some sort of track of my progress. That was also the time one could consider I started playing "seriously." Serious meaning focusing more on the metagaming, efficiency and that kind of things, which seem to be the popular RS culture at the moment.

My first 99 level (smithing), I got after almost 2 months of lazyness and slow progressing by smelting gold bars. That wasn't actually very efficient, but it proved me, I am able to level a skill to 99, stick to a plan and proceed through it. There were better days and worse, like there always are in whatever it is you plan to do. Gaming is no different. I've been a gamer as long as I can remember, and I've been playing different games for ages. Before I have not been so called efficient gamer though, and my main focus have been completely in messing around with games, not maybe completing them. It varies between games. I've been playing alot of Warcraft III, Elder Scrolls, Battlefield, Enemy Territory, Heroes and Travian for example. I've always been more of a PC gamer than console one. I don't even own any consoles, even though I've been planning to buy PS3 as soon as I could afford one. RuneScape is in no way anything more than a hobby to me. Hobby that I have to "escape the reality" at times and just chill with doing things. I like to do things rather efficient, simply because that means I progress faster - and can play less. I have alot of friends, other activities and hobbies aswell, which take my time.

I decided to renew my blog and go for the goal that has always been there - max cape. Now I'm only just alot closer, and due to the fact game has became quite a bit easier than it once was, I might be even able to reach it one day. It's a long stretch, but I have time. 2475 total, twentyfive 99 skills, all quests and all tasks. Goal to Max cape.[/hide]

Thank you for fast replies and feedback. Just few simple words do wonders on ones motivation. Taking a "fresh start" every once in a while with a "new goal" surely helps that too. That's mainly the reason why I am here in the first place.

Today I've got couple agility levels, about 150kish agility experience. I had some charges left in my BA horn, and then just ran around Ape Atoll. 74 Agility now, so it's also closing to 80+ soon. :)

After agility is done, I think I'll slowly start working towards all 90+. As I still have exams and such left, I don't have time to plan my gaming much - as most of my playing goes into studying. So I'll just train skills that are simple to train and fast to reach. Nothing that demands much of preparation in term of gear and inventory (like hunter for example). Preferably afkable aswell.

I guess as soon as I'm done with exams in few weeks, I'll get onto the questing + tasks part, and raise my runecrafting.

Tomorrow I have free day though, so might be playing quite a bit. Hopefully get close to 80 agility. :-)

I'm saving this one for myself here (Hattrick stuff lol).

Looks like you've made a lot of progress since the start of this! keep it up, and great blog

Yeah, it's over a year old blog though. :P And thanks.

Nothing special lately. Got 77 agility yesterday, still grinding. A bit boring but what the hell. Just want that 80 fast. :P

Then maybe fishing? Or thieving?

Not sure yet. Gonna keep skilling though - but no runecrafting!

Still running circles - dressed as a monkey - hour after hour. Don't monkeys ever get tired of running?

I'm closing in to 79 though at the moment, and then only one level left to magical eight followed by a zero.

Real life newsflash is that I finished my last courses and have only 3 exams (2 big, 1 small but all very important) left to graduation. So basically I'm on a holiday till next week, and if all goes well completely out of school in three weeks. And what am I going to do then? Hopefully not running around - dressed as a monkey - day after day. It's first time I'll be considered as "unemployed" so it will be interesting. Maybe I'll find a job with PC around. I'm not THAT geek though.

Anything works, me wants monney.

Any ideas what to do after 80 agility? I don't have gear or much of anything, due to the fact I sold most of my stuffs before bonus xp's and used them like a winner after casino evening. Vanished to the thin air. I still became a crazy potion master and got a green cloak with golden stripes. Definitely worth 100 million pennies.

Fishing? Hunter? Thieving?

Decided to give skilling a bit of a rest, and go doing some GWD. Did about 40-50 solo kills (dry) on Armadyl yesterday. Bit dissapointed about the lack of loot, was already about to call it a day. However, a friend of mine who hasn't ever been at GWD before, asked if I'd want to try it with him. Him being rather low level, and due to the time of the day (full servers and alot of people in GWD), we decided to give it a go at Zamorak. He was tanking, so I could focus on killing Kril with rapier, ovl, turmoil combo.

First kill, we get Zamorakian spear. I had no idea how much does one cost, but I still got very excited. After all, I had spent about 4 hours soloing Armadyl with no loot whatsoever, so that spear on the ground looked very good. My friend got very excited too. After all, it was his first GWD drop ever.

Well, we did few kills, a bit of stumbling here and there (I had to teach strategies and because of that almost died once or twice). It was maybe 6th or 7th kill when I saw there was Zamorak hilt on the ground. Very excited to go and pick it up fast, I didn't get a screenshot out of it. It was my first hilt ever in GWD, even though I've soloed, duoed and teamed hundreds of GWD bosses. I didn't say anything to my friend about it, cause I didn't want to make him lose his focus. Losing focus at Kril can be very deadly due to it hitting few hundreds through prayer - and the minions aren't the easiest ones either.

After the trip I told him to meet me at Varrock to show him the loot. I first showed everything else except the hilt and he already was very excited to see his share out of 5m. When I added the hilt and 8m I could imagine his jaw dropping to the floor. I'm certainly bringing that guy with me at God Wars again - he is like a lucky charm.

So decent 6m profit for each, for a cost of a bit stumbling and lol's. Not bad, not bad.

Today, we're planning to give it a go @Armadyl. Kree'arra, you better watch your back. Or you might be short of a hilt.

Like I said earlier, I haven't had much time to play recently. I had some exams to study for, and as a matter of fact - I still have. #-o

We tried Armadyl, got about 12 kills duoing a trip (not very spectacular), and decided it's not maybe worth the effort. I can solo 9 kills anyways, so duoing there with someone who doesn't have access to things like extreme ranging potions or overloads is a bit of a waste. Zamorak went better.

I also tried doing Corporal Beast for the first time after completing Summer's End quest. Duoed with a friend. It's kinda fun, a bit expensive though. Would need higher levels to perform better. And proper gear including spec weapons. My bank account is still quite low due to the Herblore costs, so I can't get the best gears and methods there are. I got 80 agility today, which means all my levels except Runecrafting are now 80+! This is achievement I'm happy about.

As soon as I'll get more free time to play again, I'll start questing and doing diaries to hopefully reach 80 Runecrafting aswell soon. Otherwise I'll probably keep doing bosses. More updates to come @ weekend!

PS. Also reached 98 Hitpoints Constitution, so that's one level left to the hearty cape. <3:

Few days since most recent post, so might aswell give a short update about what I've been doing. Well, most of all - I haven't been doing much of anything. I haven't had that much time and interest in the playing, though I "shaped up" a bit again, and went to do some skilling. Pyramid Plunder is quite relaxing way to train Thieving. I actually like it. I've been a bit lost with things to do - what to train, how and where.

Usually starting things is the hardest part, especially seen when doing quests. I've been long having this goal of completing all quests and tasks, but it hasn't been progressing very fast. However, now that I've got 80 in all stats except Runecrafting, I don't really have any excuses to stay away from questing. My runecrafting levely will depend solely on my progress with quests and tasks. And I'd prefer getting it to around 80 fast, so I can start getting more points in it from distractions and diversions. That being said, tomorrow is sunday - my D&D day. Penguins, tears and circus awaiting. That free runecrafting experience! I doubt I'll use the points (apart from tears and circus which can't be stored) just yet. If I'll manage to keep going through the last 41 quests I have left - I could get my Runecrafting level somewhere in high seventies. More experience from points. I gotta admit, I really like "free" experience.

So today I started by doing some "easy" quests, Elemental Workshop III & IV and Gunnars Ground. Reason why I hadn't ever bothered with the later one, is because I already did the Romeo & Juliet quest ages ago. I couldn't be bothered to do the new makeover version of it. I didn't even get the 5 quest points! There I was, thinking about easy quest points, and yeah right. No luck for me.

I have to say that both of those Elemental Workshop quests really require a patience of a saint. Those darn puzzles (even by using help from tip.it quest guide) took me probably like 2 hours in overall. And I thought I was doing them fast. Really frustrating, especially when you realised you had done something wrong and had to start again from beginning. Can't say I'd wait for Elemental Workshop V. Or questing in overall.

There are some quests I actually enjoyed doing (like the Cold War saga or Dragon Slayer), but mostly they seem just annoying waste of time. Run here and there, do this and that. Just hand me the rewards already!

I guess if one would bother following the storylines more closer, they could make up even a decent enjoinment - but my questing is basically click, click and go. As fast as you can. You know, if I want to enjoy great storylines, the first choice won't most likely be RuneScape quests. I read books. What an xp waste. :---)

Oh well, I'm about to call it a day and head off to sleep. Incase someone is actually reading this, I added a new Quest Journal part to the frontpage entry. And updated the level log. Stay tuned, I guess.

I'll be staying tuned. I enjoy reading blogs with more detailed entries, like yours. To make your quests a little more manageable/less boring, maybe you could arrange them in some order and do one each day. That's what I've been thinking about doing, to get through a lot of quests.

Ok, so as I haven't updated the blog in a couple days, yet I have done alot in the game - might aswell update it properly now. So caution, this is going to be a long read.

As one of my goals, and currently maybe the most important, is completing all the quests in the game - getting a nice cape, good XP rewards and unlocking all the content at the process - I've been doing quests lately. Alot of quests. Actually I've completed 6 quests since my last update.

CAUTION: May contain some very mild spoilers - so don't read if the quest storylines are very important to you!

[hide]

I started with the quest "Contact!" I remember a while ago almost starting this quest, but moved it on the things-to-do list as soon as I noticed I have to go to the desert. I don't really like desert. I often tend to get lost, run out of waterskins and well.. Die. If not that, I'll just get extremely annoyed being lost all the time and end up teleporting out. Not to mention, that my previous experiences with quests placed on desert are not very pleasant. Desert treasure?

However, knowing that I will have to get on it eventually, I just decided to famous F it and venture forward. Contact! is one of the first quests in a long storyline leading up to Do No Evil, which I'm planning to complete in near future.

Well, the quest itself wasn't that bad, even though I died once - due to my precious lantern running out of oil or something while I was hanging out at the scarabs nest. A piece of advice - never spend time in a dark scarabs nest, you'll die faster than I can say "gravestone." And talking about gravestones, I have to mention that I've always had my trusty wooden placate -gravestone, which stays up for only 5 minutes. Dying in the middle of nowhere, in a dark lair filled with angry scarabs, is great way to lose your items. With a 5 minutes gravestone that is. However, like a MacGyver I managed to return just pretty much about a second before my backbag and all the other precious belongings would've been gone for good. Thank Guthix, I didn't need to go get meself another dragon defender.

At the end of the quest, I had to slay a "dangerous" giant scarab, which basically died as fast as I pulled my shiny rapier out. Heart attack, I guess. Was relieved when the final scroll opened up showing I had completed the quest. Yay, me.

6contact.png

One death on the desert wasn't enough for me to call it a day though. As much as I enjoyed finding out about the mysterious scarabs, I was eager to continue with the storyline. Eager to click past over all the talking parts and fast, I mean. I was ready for some scarab hunting. I also got a new weapon - Keris - which is supposedly like the greatest thing ever invented in the fight against scarabs. However, I didn't end up using it much, as I came in to conclusion that my precious rapier was still better. Like really, is there a place where rapier doesn't just shine?

The quest was all fun and games until I realised I had to get...

a) a goddamn golden triangle from top of an agility pyramid

b) 10 trinkets of useless gold pieces from Pyramid Plunder

c) 9 bronze helmets - covered with ugthanki dung in the desert

... Actually making fake "antique helmets" was quite fun, until the guy I was trying to trick realised they were fakes. Good fella as he was, he took them anyways. Going to sell them to some more stupid customer. Thumbs up for him.

Like before, I still managed to finish the quest and fight the mighty scarab high priest about 5 times. The scumbag vanished like 4 times during the fight, which reseted the whole scene. I almost ran out of supplies, and was ready to curse the existence of all the scarabs and everything that has anything to do with desert - until it finally agreed to give up. I was down to 300 hitpoints and no prayer. =D>

After the day in the desert I decided to call it a day. Couldn't really take any more quests.

7dealingwithscabaras.png

On the very next day, however, I was prepared to be a hero again and save the day at some other place. I soon figured that I hadn't been hanging out with the dwarves in a long time, I decided to take the cart to the Keldagrim and meet my old friend Commander Veldaban at the Black Guard HQ.

He told me something about some drunk dwarf telling some drunk stuff (I didn't really read very carefully). So - like usually - it was upto me to figure what the hell was this drunkard thinking.

During the quest I grow some hops and brewed some beer, gave the drunk dwarf more beer and heard some stories about something I didn't care. Anyways, It was quite fun and straightforward quest. I like those.

8forgettabletaleof.png

Thrilled with finishing the drunken dwarfs story, I decided to continue with the storyline. The next quest, called "Forgiveness of a Chaos Dwarf" continued pretty much from where the other one ended. At Veldaban. I mean Commander Veldaban.

At this quest I got to drive around with some carts, and eventually being hexed by a maging ogre. Darn Ogremagis (anyone played Heroes ever?). I ended up being more drunk than the drunken dwarf I just tried to rescue from the rehab in the last quest. It was funny quest though, especially the end. Me not spoil more, me fair though.

9forgivenessofachaosdwarf.png

So checking up the quest guide I realised that I could go on with the same story line, with another straightforward quest that didn't require tons of preparing with supplies and all that. I hate when first hour doing quest is spent collecting items on Grand Exhange and organising them in your bank. Grand Exhange beats agility pyramids on the desert though.

So basically - as much as I understood - there was a guy who wanted to be a king amongst the dwarves and other people who didn't want him to be the king. Then the guy who wanted to be king started doing some nasty things and everybody was like "damn." So basically it meant that I had to run back and forth all around the Keldagrim, doing this and that because dwarves apparently can't do anything themselves.

I can't even remember what actually happened in the quest now? I lifted a big rock and gave a pretty flower to a troll called "Pretty Flower." That was quite nice, except the troll didn't like it. I managed to blame the other dwarves for it, so the troll went after them. Poor dwarves, that was one big troll.

So eventually a dwarf was crowned as a king and I got the scroll that says I completed quest. I didn't really care much, as I was busy inspecting the rewards I had got. Seriously speaking I know what happened, but I can't spoil too much. Someone might get angry and my blog censored. That no good.

After the quest I went to try out some lava flow mining and got bored fast.

10kingofthedwarves.png

So after doing some quests, I figured what to do next. I looked at the oh-so-lovely Tip.it quest guide and checked quest "A Void Dance." Ther requirements said I got to have explorers ring 3. "Explorers ring 3, what's that?" I thought and mumbled to the item search. No I really didn't, I do know what the explorers ring is. Right?

Anyways, the rest of the day I spent running around Lumbridge doing tasks - looking badass killing rats with oak longbow, messing around with bronze mace and killing cows with fists. Amongst many other things I'm too lazy to list. After a hour of two of doing all kind of nonsense I managed to get Lumbridge diary done, a nice 12k XP reward to be used for runecrafting and a ring that allows me endless amount of teleports whenever I desire cabbages. All in all, it was more fun than I first though. I also completed quest Myths of the White lands (which was a total bore) as a requirement for Lumbridge diary.

11mythsofthewhitelands.png[/hide]

One down!

lumbydraynordiary.png

So after two long days of questing I decided to take small break to figure what good does this questing actually do. I took a piece of paper, my good old calculator and started to count the rewards I had left. To save you the time I went through with this, I just give you the numbers.

The last 33 quests will give me total of following experience:

[hide]

806,000 any skill

323,000 agility

215,000 thieving

151,000 crafting

113,300 magic

112,000 woodcutting

100,000 any combat skill

95,650 construction

93,500 slayer

78,000 defence

64,100 strenght

59,500 farming

56,500 summoning

54,000 mining

46,850 runecrafting

43,000 smithing

40,000 fletching

33,000 herblore

25,000 constitution

22,000 prayer

20,000 fletching

20,000 ranged

12,000 dungeoneering

10,500 hunter

8,000 fishing

7,000 firemaking

5,500 cooking

4,500 attack

----------------------

= 2,618,900 xp

[/hide]

That's ALOT of experience! That will get me to 76 runecrafting already. Also I still have about 6 diaries left, which should give me another 1,039,300 experience for runecrafting. That'd get me alone to 82 runecrafting. :geek:

So now I'm going to call it a day and get a good sleep. Tomorrow I'm going to tackle a whole new set of quests!

So due to forums being down, and me not being able to change password to my forum account - and thereforth logging in, I haven't been able to update this blog in a while. Two weeks is it?

Well, alot has happened (like usual) ever since, and going through about it all would make a long post. And I'm currently a bit too hungover (sunday) and tired to write long stories, so I'm going to keep it short. For those who happen to be still around reading, news are that I'm still alive and kicking. I just sometimes tend to forget/not have motivation to write updates. Sorry about that.

In overall alot has happened lately also in my real life, which has resulted me slacking from some of my goals, like doing D&D's on time. So I'm late for my penguin points, and I'm not sure if I have done Tears of Guthix either. However, I will get back on them right tomorrow. Monday is a good day to get back on track.

Since my last update I have completed loads of quests again. Quest Journal has been updated.

Here are some of the quests I've done:

14mourningsendpart2.png

Definitely not as bad as people say it is. Just need to have a bit of motivation and patience. Just keep going forward and you'll get it right. I thought Elemental Workshop III was alot more tedious. Still glad to get it finally out of the way, so I could proceed to the next one. Which happened to be this:

15whileguthixsleeps.png

About time to get it done, eh? I still haven't got time to go try out Tormented Demons, but I think I'll check them out too soon. Been spending all my time killing Glacors. However, completing this quest got me this one (awesome). Getting closer to all 80+.

whileguthixsleepsrclevels.png

After that I finished few other quests, including Fairy Tale pt. 3, Great Brain Robbery, Rocking Out (funny), Enakhras Lament (fun with the camel statue!) and eventually reached requirements to get this one done:

20ritualofthemahjarrat.png

That was one of my main goals concerning questing. First of all the XP reward was very generous, the quest was quite funny and it unlocked Glacors, which I've been hunting ever since. I really needed a source for money, charms and effigies at the same time, and Glacors seem to be perfect for it. I've already learned to do it a bit better and I reckon I can kill 35-40 per hour at my best speed. Of course this is up to 15-20 short from what maxed players with maxed levels, gear and complete focus can achieve. I'm happy about it though. Not too stressful yet. I've been planning on getting elite void someday, but can't seem to find motivation to go for it. :)

Also got my first drop. Very lovely, shame it was the cheapest boots though, so only yielded 9,5 millions. Other boots sell for 25-35 million.

ragefire1.png

That's pretty much about it. Will be killing Glacors for as long as I possibly can mind now. My goal is to work towards 99 magic (and get 99 constitution at the same time). That is still over 3m magic experience, so it's going to take a while. Hopefully I'll make a decent bank out of it too.

More news to come in the future.

... Hopefully pictures of the boots on the ground.

Thanks Gregor!

Yesterday I forgot to add this one (even though it's most arguably my biggest achievement in this game so far), while too busy listing everything that I've done. This is a huge milestone for me, and next one will be even bigger. 2200. On my way towards 2300 now. (Darn quest reward gave me one level more than I thought, so I missed 2200 picture. Well 2201 - more the merrier right?)

2200total.png

Today I've been killing more glacors, but they haven't been too good. Alot of kills but no loots to mention. Not even one effigy. I guess I'll have to go back later and pick few of them. ;)

I also managed to get back with my D&D's as I've now done all penguins for the week, got back into Miscellania business (49% approval rating, ouch) and as soon as the System Updates allow, I'll go see if I can do either Troll Invasion or Tears of Guthix. I don't think I've done Circus in a moment either. Though to be honest I don't fancy the 30k xp divided in magic and agility too much. I'll do it if I happen to run past that circus booth.

Three days ago I managed to get something that has been my goal ever since the 126 level cap was raised, 130+ combat level. Now my next and only reasonable stop is at 138.

130combat.png

Played couple hours of BA, charging my horn and collecting few points too for a laugh. Almost 3000 score in all roles in BA now. :) The game is quite nice, quite dull though once you learn all the roles well. It's just same thing over and over again. Gets a bit boring after few hours. Then I took my recharged horn and went to Desert to mine some granite. Was getting about 130k xp/h with horn (+ urns and obsidian golem), no idea if that's good or bad. I've heard people mining concentrated gold can top that. Seems a bit hard to imagine. Oh well, as long as I can't bother getting the second Varrock diary done for the platebody, I think I'm gonna stick with the granite. It's not so bad, really.

After 81 mining, I looked I'm only 25 minutes away from 81 fishing aswell, so went to Otto's Grotto to finish that one. Was getting about 70k experience /hour alching all the fishes. During our stay there I noticed the update on the homepage, and fleed to Varrock immediatly. Incase Jagex this time actually manages to remove bots, or atleast most of them, it would make one assume raw items prices would rise. Thereforth I bought myself supplies from 81 -> 92-93 construction (oak and teak planks, though still need to get SC tools), and some uncut sapphires and gold bars, which I'm planning to use to train crafting to around 90. In any plan changes, I'm quite certain I could get my money and a bit extra back if selling them to G.E.

If not, atleast I got some of the buyables bought in the bank, waiting to be done. Need to do quite a bit of Stealing Creation, which I'm not very keen to.

I guess I'll need to collect some slayer points and do some slayer tasks to refresh my mind how the whole skill works. It's been long time since I last trained slayer, and with the upcoming slayer day coming, I might aswell pick my combat gear and go for some tasks. Might be a bit packed, but if it's any better XP than normally, I don't mind.

Also, eagerly waiting for Soul Wars day (not really interested in Castle Wars, though might try that aswell).

Only thing I'm really curious about, is if Jagex can actually hold onto their statement and remove 98% of bots, which probably means to like 60% of total players in the game. Ha. We'll see. I really hope we get rid of them!

PS. All this buying things made a huge hole in my bank, which I'm trying to recover now. So I'm back at Glacors hoping for some loot. Could be about time to get something soon.

Since it's been exactly a week since my last update, I think it's time to go through what has happened to Sydan during the last seven days. Not much, but it's still something.

I started the week by doing some skilling, and aiming to get all (besides runecrafting) skills over 81. I had to do some more slayer to get the extra charms needed for 81 summoning. I didn't want to use blues I've been gaining from killing Glacors. Speaking of them, I'm afraid there are no loot pictures to add here. They've been awfully dry lately. I think I'm at about 1/600 rate currently. Haven't been bothering with them much.

So at the start of the week, I got 81+ all:

81agi.png

And soon after, with penguin points:

76rc.png

After the nuking of bots, the game suddenly got twice as more interesting, I decided to spend more time slaying. I soon reached 84 slayer, and the very next day (at the bot nuke day) I took the advantage of 3x slayer (which was nice), I slayed for almost 300,000 experience and got this:

85slayer.png

Then I took the advantage of double penguins, and got closer to 77 runecrafting. Not very far from 80+ all. I also started doing some (quite occasional) farming runs, and managed to get 86 farming. No picture from that I'm afraid. My current plan for future is keep raising skill towards 82+ all, 83+ all, 84+ all and so forth. I keep raising runecrafting with all the bonuses I gain. Hopefully I'll reach 80 runecrafting in a month or so. I've also been thinking of doing some regular runecrafting if it gets even somewhat rewarding, due to absence of bots. We'll see. Could ZMI level or two, or few. :P

The update wasn't that long, but that's due to fact I'm currently playing Soul Wars (as I write this), and I try to keep up from getting kicked out for inactivity. I could get 99 hitpoints today, but I'm not sure if I want to use zeal on that. It wouldn't make any sense. Though, a 99 is always a fun thing to get.

More to come in near future!

I guess this level up is worth of it's own update. 99 hitpoints, after 10 years of scaping! Almost missed the picture due to forgetting, but remembered it at last second. I also got 131 combat. :-#

99hp1.png

99hp2.png

So that means first one of my Glacor hunting goals is done. I still have about 1300 Glacors left to kill to reach 99 magic. That should also get me 95 defence (defensive casting) and charms for 88 summoning (unicorns!). It should also yield estimate of 18 effigies, and hopefully about 3-4 pair of boots. I've been quite unlucky so far with 600-700 kills in and only one pair of boots. Not very certain of the ratios, but that (and constant stream of armadyl shards) should yield about 80-100m gp. That will come to an use while maxing prayer. At those levels I should be 133 combat.

Should keep me occupied for good few weeks. :^o

Ah well, one Glacor and one level at a time. :-P

EDIT: Also got 97 magic today. 2 more to go!

So, as one part of my goals is to complete all tasks and quests, and they also yield nice experience rewards for my main goal (which is maxing, or atleast getting all skills 99, total). And like the old saying I though, good plan is almost half done, I decided to take the good old notepad and start making some calculations. This is the plan that I ended up with, how to most efficiently get my runecrafting and levels up. Also, as things like penguin points, troll invasion and effigies give more experience higher the level is, I thought I should get on with it as soon as possible.

However, I realised that if I want to do this, I have to scratch my old plan of never runecrafting, and actually head to the ZMI altar. Actually, I did some ZMI yesterday. It's boring, it's slow but it's needed. Atleast for couple million experience. One reason to calculate things was, that I can avoid rcing any more than I need to.

This is how my plan goes:

1. I start by finishing all the rest of the quests I have left. This will yield me nice experience rewards all around in skills, and unlock weapons, gear, items and various places that will help me on the rest of my goal. I should start doing this immediatly. This should also give me about 200,000 runecrafting experience.

2. That would leave me about 800,000-900,000 experience short of 83 runecrafting. This is where the ZMI comes in, and I'll just have to do about 800 runs to reach level 83. Hopefully, I'll get some bonus experience from penguins and troll invasion. Maybe we even get a new quest with experience rewards.

Sydan.png

3. As soon as I reach 83 runecrafting, it's time to do Elite Seers diary. Using the experience to (what else) runecrafting. One step closer to 84.

4. Next part is going to be a long stretch, but hopefully I have gained a short lead to this goal while doing the first three, by training slayer and killing Glacors. Not only do I need to do more ZMIng, to get 85 runecrafting, but I also need to get 93 summoning. As soon as I reach these levels, I head to do Elite Ardougne diary. I should be close to 86 runecrafting by now.

Sydan.png

Sydan.png

5. For the next part, which is Elite Varrock diary, I need to ZMI, penguin, troll invasion to 88 runecrafting and also get 92 firemaking. Firemaking will be done fast either with magic logs and pyrefiend or Jadinko lair. I haven't tried Jadinko lair yet, but I've heard it's very easy and fast experience.

Sydan.png

Sydan.png

6. Elite Fremmenik diary. First get 89 runecrafting, so I can use experience lamps on runecrafting. By now I hopefully should've gained 88 slayer (from the task to gain summoning earlier on), and then I need to get 91 fishing and 85-87 agility to do the diary. Thank god there are items like wild pies, summer pies and admiral pies. Will save me many hours of grinding. For now atleast.

Sydan.png

Sydan.png

Sydan.png

Sydan.png

7. The last stretches. Need to obtain 90 runecrafting, so I can do Elite Falador diary. I will have obtained 90+ fishing already on stage 6, so no other skills are needed.

Sydan.png

8. Final diary. Elite Karamja Diary. 91 runecrafting and 95 summoning (slayer, Glacors and what else).

Sydan.png

Sydan.png

9. And DONE. After this I should be at around 6 million runecrafting experience, and be happy to know that I won't ever have to craft a single rune again. Unless something mysterious happens, and I end up actually liking it. :???:

It's a long journey ahead! But like it's said, a journey of thousand miles begins with a single step. Might aswell start now. Stay around for updates to come!

So what I've been doing lately? Nothing much.

I did few dry runs of barrows at double loot weekend, then managed to get 88-90 dungeoneerning, doing it with various different groups of strangers. Was kinda fun. I guess I got lucky. Found couple new friends to dungeoneer with.

Did some floors in "Relaxed Dung" friend chat. It was definitely relaxed and atmosphere nice, but the speed of floors was a bit too relaxed. I mean 40 minute dungeons are okay, but 50-60 minutes is a bit too much. Even the keyer was level 105+ with other 100+ members. It was still quite fun.

Still need to look around for more groups to dungeoneer with. I got back into it again, and managed to get 91 dungeoneering. Might even go for 99 and 100. If I find good groups that is. Going to check EoE (as advertised in the dungeoneering thread I started in the general discussion) out soon. They seem promising. Also got about 160k tokens. No idea what to buy next. Any ideas?

Also, got to do penguins today.

Hey everyone!

Sorry for not updating in a long time. I haven't played much, as I've had all sorts of things going on. Recently I got back to start playing rather properly though, so I thought it's time to update my blog. Many things have happened. First of all, yesterday I reached 2228 total. One step closer to my goal again. Level came up with 94 defence.

Recently I've had a bit of extra luck at Glacors, which yielded me almost 60,000,000 gp's. That was very much needed money to get me all the gear I needed to go properly slaying.

Here's some loot:

ragefire2.png

steadfast1.png

Ever since I've been mostly doing about 2 slayer tasks per day. Haven't really played much, but I try to keep up with that. I also bought Jack of Trades aura, which should yield me nice and easy extra 6-7k runecrafting xp per day. That is like 50k per week! Really going to save me many hours of grinding in a long run.

So, stay around still. My blog will update slowly but steadily.
