Hey there,

As many users from this forum are frequent users of our IRC service, I wanted to let you guys know personally about the merger that recently went down between our IRC server and that of RuneScript's IRC Server. This was announced here: http://tip.it/runescape/?page=chat.htm That area of the website will soon be revamped to reflect these new changes.

I want to let you know that firstly the java client is still available by visiting http://forum.tip.it/ircchat.php - this client will still connect you to #runescape as normal. One of the big changes however is that channels cannot be registered without first obtaining approval and operator status from one of the server administrators. As before, Cruiser and me (IRC screennames Cruiser and Cowman_133 respectively) are still server administrators and we would be happy to accommodate any requests to register channels. I am almost always online IRC even when I am inactive, so you may request a channel by sending me a private message here on the forums or directly on IRC with the command /msg Cowman_133 <message here>.

If you have any further questions or concerns with this merger, feel free to ask about it here and I will do my best to answer.
