Ok, made a few changes:

Got rid of both weapons, replaced them with a Wyroot Shortbow (and two normal spares) and a Wakizashi. (Extra crit range is rather worthless to me, overall...If there was some way to have the 16-20 on a Wyroot weapon then I might reconsider =P)

With the extra cash I am buying a Custom Magical Item, Three Lines in the Sand. Command Word *3, covering Resist Energy Fire, Sonic and Acid, with a Linguistics Check of DC 10 (feel free to revise upwards/require seperate tests), and limited to Ninja's only. The item, as such, costs 5,103. The Three Lines count as an Ioun Stone, mounted inside/on the skill, with a low level protrusion of three waved lines on the forehead.

In keeping with the my general character theme the Linguistic's Check is to recite the Emperor's Litany, which my character will be chanting under his breath, when not talking/eating/sneaking, at all times...preferably when sleeping as well, as fitting with the DH theme, but gets into an overcomplicated argument. If you want me to do some complicated thing so that you (and everyone else) are not constantly bombarded by me reciting, then I am for that...That or we just take it as read and impose some minor penalty for doing so.

Obviously the change from Melee to Range means the feats change:

I will need to review that custom magic item when I have some time.

But just a brief look makes it seem like this item is far out of price range

Command Word: Spell level (2) times Caster level (3) times 1800 = 10800 though you could say a ranger made it to make it cost 7200 instead

Which totals 24,300 when you combine all different resist energies, or 16,200 if a ranger made it

And an Ioun stone would multiply that by two again, for not taking a space on the body.

I'm pretty hesitant to let custom magical items, although I recall seeing something earlier that somewhat matches what you are going for, so I will look for that after I get back if you'd like.

There's also reductions for requiring a skill check and being class restricted. I think he may have forgotten the Ioun doubling though, and only counted Resist Energy as a single spell ability.

I don't suppose anyone knows of any fluffyness in the game regarding turtles? I like turtles.

For you have awoken the wrath of Archi

Three Lines in the Sand (Implanted Ioun Stone, Head (specifically forehead), in the pattern of three waved lines)

Command Word (1*1*1,800) Resist Energy (Fire), Command Word (1*1*1,800*0.75) Resist Energy (Sonic), Command Word (1*1*1,800*0.5) Resist Energy (Acid): Total 4,050

Doesn't take up a Magical Slot, +100% (8,100)

Requires Linguistics Check (DC 10), -10% (7,290)

Requires Ninja Class, -30% (5,103)

Ok, after a small amount of deliberation I have resolved that this will be my final character.

Three Lines in the sand was modified by Retech for +5 instead of +10, and now takes up a ring slot (though is still classed as an implanted Ioun stone otherwise), though costs slightly less.

Edit:

Also adding Mask of Stony Demeanor and Ring of Windy Escape (As ring of Featherfall)

Prayers for a front line melee fighter have been answered. What race?

Also might consider investing a few ranks in acrobatics or jump.

Ninja and Barbarian. I don't think Grim has decided either, as of yet.

For reference, Retech, Mask of Stony Demeanor and Ring of Windy Escape (Edit of Ring of Featherfall, replacing the spell names, as per your instructions)

Barbarian, Ninja, Cleric/Oracle?, Wizard, and not sure what Earth has

It seems pretty well rounded, but there is tons of room for characters still. Got any ideas on what you're interested in playing?

I don't know what classes we need, and I'm waiting for Nex to finish his so he can have some time to work on mine. I don't need anything fancy either, whatever works.

Well the party is well-rounded, so any kind of class is great atm. I think Ranger and Bard would be interesting classes to play, even magus.

The swashbuckling kinda character is useful in a pirate campaign, and also inspirational characters like the Bard, since they can boost the abilities of the crew as well. But really, anything that you find interesting.

I'm going to be going as a cleric of Thenatos, Azlanti (demi currently) god of the helpful dead. Sees dead bodies as tools that can be used to help further the cause of civilization rather than hinder it, as such he is a neutral deity of death who doesn't really care about his clerics raising the dead. Other clerics on the other hand...

What I was thinking about is a slightly more ruthless Erastil, and less hide bound Adabar who has no problem with tools being used to further the cause of the community (and his church) as long as they are being used properly.

For domains I was thinking: Death and undead, community, healing, and destruction. (Trying to get some of theme going for duality)

Weapon: Warhammer (ability to create and destroy?)

Earth, if you would like here is an example of a possible sort of build you could make with the Freebooter Ranger Archtype to get a pirate type swashbuckler character: Shadow Wing

(I only made the character since I felt like it, as I cannot take part in this campaign due to scheduling issues. If you really want you could just straight up use the character)

No need for that, Archi, my character should be finished within 18 hours at the most.

Also, damn it all, I came up with an awesome thematic custom magical item (it even had a good name) that would've really been rather useful... In a heroic campaign. I keep forgetting the whole pirate thing.

I'm going to sleep now. This isn't finished yet (also thank you Archi for the convenient format to copy from your character), and I would like to ask the group what you need from me.

As is, it looks like I'm to be the group tank (and secondary or primary DPS, on the assumption that we have no Blasters handy); suggestions on Feats and Equipment complementing this would be appreciated. I additionally must ask whether or not you would have me take the double-edged sword that is the Superstitious rage power, which you should look up on the SRD if you're not familiar.

Suggestions on Feats would be handy

Greater Beast Totem

Body Bludgeon

Ground Breaker

Endurance

Ferocious Trample

Seem good. And there was another really good feat that allowed you to fly if you were a barbarian but I've forgotten what it was.

Only one of those is a feat, and I can't take any of those Rage Powers right now. Groundbreaker is level 6, but I used that slot on Beast Totem.

Do the effects of smokestick stack with obscuring mist?

Your the previously mentioned Wizard?

For a wizard at 6th level you would have for free (you can learn a lower level spell in place of a higher level spell. EDIT: Also shouldn't have to mention this, but they would need to be off the Wizard spell list):

All 0 level spells

5 First level spells

4 Second Level spells

4 Third Level spells

After those Wizards are able to purchase additional spells known by way of copying scrolls into their spellbook at a cost of The Spell level squared times 10gp or 5gp for a 0 level spell(and of course the cost of a scroll to copy which is used up during the process). Technically a Wizard is also limited by the number of pages in the spellbook, with each spell taking up a number of pages equal to its spell level (or 1 page for 0 level spells) though its not uncommon for the number of pages to be ignored with GM approval as a matter of keeping the bookkeeping simple (pun intended).

When preparing spells you may prepare any combination of the known spells at each level of spell slot.

Concealment effects do not stack unless stated otherwise (the effects may coexist, but only the more severe of the two effects impacts the game). In that specific situation you may use the smoke stick as an optional material component for the spell, removing the obscuring Mist's weakness to fire at the cost of limiting it to a 1 minute duration.
