The current fight kiln guide seems to be fairly out dated.

i looked on some other of the other usual suspects but theirs seemed woefully outdated as well.

is there a post-eoc guide for the fight kiln? or can some one direct me to a post where the information could be?

thanks muchly

Basic jist is nothing much have actually changed in Kiln, except for their difficulty pretty much. The last time I did it (which is before they changed the obsidian armor a second time to how it works now), the normal mobs do much less damage than what they used to do pre-eoc.

You can follow the Pre-eoc guides, they serve post EoC well, since spawn locations have not changed at all.

Yeah pre-eoc guides work pretty well for what spawns where and what attacks work on what.

Only additions are: The meleers are pretty much all water mage weak (dils are crush til armour breaks then water)
I used obby with all 3 helms + cstaff (ice mage) + cmaul and ccbs and sailed through no problem

Just remember to use Magic on Jad and Har-aken, and use crystals too to save supplies

Thought they patched dils so that it was consistently weak to just one of those?

No. Iirc it went like this:

First they were weak to water, but pickaxes are low-tier melee so they were super tank.
Then they were weak to crush, because pickaxes are good for that, but then they were melee-weak meleers which doesn't make sense (according to Jagex).
So now they change weakness after the shield breaks.

Maging the jads is best but ranging them is more fun! Or for the wave 35 jad if you have drygores, use an immortality crystal and zerk it.

best drops: 1x Elysian Sigil (LS), 1x Arcane Sigil (cs), 4x Armadyl Hilt (solo at 100m, 100m, 50m, and 5m), 2x Saradomin Hilt (solo at 25m), 5x Draconic Visage (34m,1.2m,1.2m) and various cs/ls/ffa Nex splits.
Drygore Drops: 6 Longswords, 3 Maces, 3 Rapiers, 3 Off-hand Rapiers,  5 Off-hand Maces, 3 Off-hand Longswords

ROTS Shields: 12  Seismics: 14

Ascension Crossbows: 6  Spider Legs: 3

Countless Armadyl armour pieces, Saradomin amulets, Dragon Hatchets, and Fremenik Rings.

I used immortality crystal once I reached Wave 36 (pretty much the only crystal I used, had several of them left along with restoration ones)

That way, I didn't have to worry about messing up during the Jads and I had some immunity left for Har-Aken (Not to mention more immunity and restoration crystals if needed.)

I tried bringing only Magic at first, because people told me they were able to 100% mage the Kiln, but I would splash on the rangers so often that I ended up bringing Melee gear for them. Mage works fine on the Mejs, so you don't have to bother bringing range gear.

What you could do for the 6 Dill wave is use an immunity crystal (might not be needed) in order to completely avoid their spec that hits you 1.5k+, then you can tear through them with dragon pickaxe without much trouble.
You could also bring Dreadnips to safe spot the Dills, but I wouldn't recommend that since it takes ages to kill just one.

meele and mage it is. that is what i was thinking actually tbh

however the range weak enemies seem to be more numerous and dangerous than the melee weak ones so, maybe that assumption for me is wrong.

is it safe to assume you still cant use the toolbelt pickaxe on them right?

Don't Dill's special attack bypass Immunity?

No, you need to physically attack them with the Pick

Just a heads up, since you don't plan to take ranged weapon with you, you will kill the range weak ones slower.

Kiln is different in that the Combat triangle is artificially enforced, meaning that it will take less damage from styles that it was not weak to (55% less damage IIRC), so you will kill the mages quite slowly.

I didn't really notice any slowdowns compared to killing the meleeers when killing the mages with Magic instead of with Ranged, personally.
