Obtaining Kill Count and Battling General Graardor

[hide]

[hide=Entering The GWD and Obtaining Kill Count]

Upon entering the God Wars Dungeon, make your way straight to the Bandos Stronghold as you will be attacked by Saradomin and Armadyl followers as soon as you enter, Once in the Bandos Stronghold you will kill Spiritual Rangers to obtain 40 Kill Count to be able to enter the Bandos Boss Room.

Spiritual Ranger (Level 115)

bandos_spiritual_ranger-05141144.gif

To obtain your 40 Kill Count you will want to enter the door into the Bandos Stronghold and kill Spiritual Rangers as they are very weak to melee, Once you have killed 40 of them (as well as your teammates if in a group) enter the door to the room between the Bandos Stronghold and the Bandos Boss Room. Here you can choose to buy your own room which will cost 250k per hour or just enter the public room, however, chances are the public room will be full.

*An alternative to killing Spirutal Rangers is to kill Goblins in between the Bandos Stronghold and the area to swim across to the Zamorak Stronghold, however, I strongly recommend killing Spiritual Rangers.

[/hide]

[hide=Battling General Graardor and His Minions]

Once you have your Kill Count you are ready to battle General Graardor! You can begin by either creating your own room at a cost of 250k per hour or joining the public room, finding an open public room can be extremely difficult and if you're a lower level you're very vulnerable to be crashed early on in your trip so paying for a private room would be your best option, In my opinion. Drink a dose of your Overloads/Extremes/Supers and turn on your Prayers (Turmoil and Soul Split or Piety and Protect from Melee) and then enter the room. Once you enter the room you (and all teammates if in a team) will want to immediately attack General Graardor, when all the minions are stacked around General Graardor using Multi-Target Abilities is a great idea as along with hitting General Graardor, you will deal damage to the minions as well. Once General Graardor is dead you will want to immediately begin killing the minions, If using an experienced tank (who is using Soul Split) consider leaving the last minion for him to heal off of. After the kill if you have Adrenaline left over and need to heal use the Regenerate Ability, following that eat any extra food you may need to and drink any potions you may need to and be prepared for General Graardor and his minions to spawn again.

Why are Goliaths recommended over Torva gloves and Steads over Torva boots?

There's no such thing as a Torva or Bandos set effect either, and the Bandos pool at Oo'glog can be used in place of a Bandos item. But if you're going to go there in Bandos, might as well not bother.

Ring of wealth shouldn't even be an option, and I'm pretty sure that Warrior's ring (i) would be better than Sixth-age circuit, considering the circuit gives All-type armour bonuses which would actually lower your ranged defence.

"April 2013, the Bandos armour set is now a "Power armour". It now gives a 10% boost to damage, limited to an average speed single handed weapon of the same tier, distributed across the different pieces, when wearing the whole set excluding the shield. All pieces except the shield give a damage bonus, this is the entire damage boost the set gives as there is no set effect."

"As with all Power Armours, each piece of Torva equipment provides a damage boost, up to a theoretical 10% with the full set. This 10% boost is equivalent to a main-handed Fastest weapon of the same tier (level 80)."

From what I remembered and looked up they had a set effect, Was this changed?

I'll look over the the other stuff you mentioned, Thanks.

It's just that adding all the damage boosts from, say, Bandos set gives you a total bonus damage of roughly 10% of a Lv. 80 fastest weapon.

For example, Torva armour gives +15 for the helm, +26 for the platebody, +19 for the legs and +7 for the gloves and the boots.

That's 74 total damage, and a Lv. 80 fastest weapon has 768 damage.

Nex armour used to have an additional damage boost that activated only when the full set was worn, but not anymore.

Bandos is 10% of a tier 70 fastest weapon btw.

also guide should be bandos>tetsu

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

It's still worth using a wealth for the final hit, theoretically.

Looking forward to seeing a magic/ranged section :).

Thanks, I didn't think of that, added it to the Tips and Tricks section!

Can't wait to start working on the Magic and Ranged section of the guide! I haven't done a whole lot of Maging/Ranging at Bandos so I'm excited to start testing things and hopefully have that section done soon. Should be fun!
