Powerfrog
I just learned about this. The item is called "bond" and it's sold in the GE, about 6m right now. It gives you 14 days membership, which also works for OSRS. So if like me you had 100m's of useless cash sitting in RS3 you don't play, you can use it to buy old school membership! Powerfrog
I just discovered it after not playing for a long time. I figure not everyone is up to speed on everything at all times so hopefully this will be useful to somebody else.
Maxingmck
It was a pretty big update when jagex introduced bonds seeing as they are only obtainable via real money and sell for 6m in game. Its RWT Noobs: We pay we sayJaGeX: How much will you pay?

Its RWTYep. Seeing as trading 07 for rs3 isn't against the rules, is it common for players to earn 12m worth (1.2m OSRS?) and just buy their membership via ingame gold, kinda the opposite of RWT? :P I mean... I'm probably gonna start doing that once I've attained the best armour and am saving up for AGS at a rate much faster than 1.2m/month. I almost feel by NOT doing it I'm participating in RWT by giving £5 a month NOT to lose my 1.2m!!

Enkilbakstar
hey frog, just wanna say there is a lot out that including me thing that people buying bonds with irl cash and selling on ge or toan other is RWT. Should have never been put into game. In saying that i buy bonds from time to time to buy keys/spins cuz i cant buy with irl cash or buy rune coins, but i do understand your & Cloak's sides of the thoughts. Powerfrog
It is microtransactions and I feel that they are indicative of a game no longer in it's glory years. But, I play 07. And I if I can get free membership by earning gold in game, that sounds good to me. I am taking advantage of an unfortunate situation I'd prefer not to exist.
Sy_Accursed
It is microtransactions and I feel that they are indicative of a game no longer in it's glory years. That or is an indicative of a game existing in the real world, where the model that brings in the profits necessary succeed in this day and age is microtransactions, which is why every game out there pretty much has some form of microtransaction element to it now - even console games with their DLC packs. 3 Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
