Looking to Buy a New Keyboard

My terrible microsoft wireless keyboard is acting up, so I'd like to get a new keyboard. Any suggestions? I'd like to spend less than $80CAD.

I don't have any strong preferences, just want something that is wired, preferable PS/2 so I can use it in the BIOS, at least 6KRO (will register at least 6 concurrent keypresses, this one won't let me move diagonally while holding shift for example) and a normal enter key (can't stand those huge enter key/tiny backspace keyboards). I'm not opposed to a mechanical keyboard as long as the keys aren't too hard to press.

Good luck finding anything decent with PS/2 - that type of port is pretty much defunct, the vast majority of mobos haven't included them for many many years now and apart from highly specialised/unique/quirky keyboards USB ones work just find with BIOS, as long as they are in a usb port on the mobo and not an extension.

I think they still include PS/2 to USB adapters in the keyboard box, but it's been years that motherboards accept usb keboards in the BIOS.

If you want a gaming keyboard, this one looks good:

Or if you want to go for cheaper:

This is the keyboard that we give people at work, pretty good quality for the price.

Just skimming through the topic...I can suggest the keyboard I have is the BEST I have ever used. Coolermaster makes a awesome mechanical keyboard. Mine doesn't have the number pad on the side (to save so cash) but the feel of the keys is amazing. Awesome for gaming and typing...the one I use is the best of both worlds. The one I use has red cherry MX switches. There is a good video on youtube I can link here that explains a lot of the types of mechanical switches that can help.

I do not know if this is what you are looking for...BUT if you do want a mechanical keyboard this brand is a good place to start.

Mechanical keyboards are definitely better. I myself am going to buy a Metadot DasKeyboard 4 Ultimate soon. I like the fact that it doesn't have the letters and stuff on the buttons, but I've been looking at them for a while.
