This guide is an all-in-one. What this means is you will be doing all of the runs in 1 trip.

*~W.I.P.~*

THE RECOMMENDATIONS

Recommended Inventory

4248ecaa8f.PNG

5 herb seeds, 5 super compost, 5 REGULAR tree saplings, 4 FRUIT tree saplings, ectophial, Explorer's ring 3/4, 5 REGULAR tree payments, 4 FRUIT tree payments, Trollheim Teleport (if not on regular spellbook).

The rest I have is for extra skilling after my farm runs.

Recommended Held Items

8d0c19f804.PNG

The only items I recommend you wear are, "Magic secateurs" since they give increased yield for your herbs. I also recommend bonus farming xp items, or weight reducing Items.

Recommended Transportation

f00bb1be04.PNG

I strongly recommend the loadstone network for transportation, since it's the cheapest. Some slightly faster ways of transportation that are *free* inclues the ectophial(canifis herb patch), the explorers ring 3/4(draynor herb patch)

and trollheim teleport tabs

No juju or greenfingers for herb farming = failzor.

Not to mention the lack of Falador shield 2/3/4 for the 10% xp boost at falador patch.

Also buckets of compost is invent waste really if you're on lunars anyway just use fertile soil, especially as you really ought to be supercomposting all the patches to reduce disease chances thus avoiding extended grow times, as well as helping improve yields on herbs.

I'd like to clarify that you should use supercompost if inventory space isn't an issue, e.g. when you're just doing an herb run or a tree run, because it's a tick faster, cheaper, quicker to withdraw from the bank (before presets), and doesn't require you to be on Lunars. Obviously the last point only applies to players who haven't done livid farm yet.

As I said, it's a Work in progress and I'm currently away from my computer. This is my first post and I'm learning the forums. I don't use the methods you mentioned, and a lot of people can't access them.

If you can't access falador shield 2 and greenfingers aura you are doing something wrong - they are easy to get - easier to get than trollheim tabs and lunars considering the relatively high-end quests involved in unlocking them, both of which you included.

If you don't already have farming juju it is something you should be working towards before seriously herb farming in the first place.

Fair point on le compost hedgehog, but then again in a guide promoting visiting 5 herb patches, 5 tree patches and 4 fruit trees in 1 trip inventory space would become a premium as thats 9 saplings, 1 seed stack and 13 (no compost allowed on trollheim right?) buckets of compost etc.

Writing this reminded me of another point I meant to make though:

Why is herblore habitat fruit tree missing?

It's easy to get to and adds to the overall benefits of the route.

I mean I can understand giving lleyta a miss if this is meant to be like a noob/low levels guide as the comments on my suggestion about items to have seems to suggest; but no reason to miss HH. Anyone can get there with a direct tele thanks to juju bag.

Fair enough, I'll work on it when I get home. Thanks for the feedbac.

I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come."

You can store supercompost with the tool leprechaun, so that shouldn't be a problem. Also, no Lletya and Herblore Habitat (has been mentioned)? And it's lodestone, not loadstone. I also believe combat academy teleport is much faster than Lumbridge lodestone. And you might want to throw in using bush patches, if you are doing every single patch in one go anyway.

You lose more ticks withdrawing supercompost from the tool leprechaun than it saves over the spell

This guide was not written for people who give a damn about ticks, that's pretty obvious.

So? The point of a guide is to give correct information.

What does correct information have to do with ticks? All I am saying is that you can store supercompost with the tool leprechaun, which means you can save some inventory space. I.e. you don't have to note your harvests as often. Ticks? 95% (random %) of RS players don't give a damn about missing a few ticks, so please stop with stuffing your tick fetish down our throats unless it is asked for.

Arguably most of the RS population cares about ticks whether they realise it or not.

They go to guides for the best gp:hr or the best xp:hr or the best balance of the two or the best way to do x or the best way to y and you know all the best, most popular guides out there, the ones that inform the advice most users of fansite forums will supply, the overwhelming voice you will receive has its origin in someone or a group of someones from the heavily focussed metagame crowd working it out based on ticks and maths.

There is no getting away from it in this day and age of runescape, we know what works and what doesn't work and the sage advice the crowd will follow all has its roots in the metagame.

Also Hedgehog was just giving a solid response to your suggestion of using the leprechaun, there was no need to be rude about it. Yes you could use it if you so wish, but the fact remains it takes longer to do so and, as such, if inventory space is an issue for compost you are better off using the fertile soil spell. Especially when you factor in that you have to go and give these guys the compost in the first place which adds a whole extra task to the farming setup.

You gave incorrect and uninformed advice. Now you're being insulting because you don't want to be wrong. Tough luck, you are.

Incorrect advice? You can store supercompost with the tool leprechaun. That's a fact. All I am saying is that you don't need it in your inventory if you need inventory space. Again, nothing to do with ticks. And if we are talking about incorrect and uninformed advice, livid farm has nothing to do with this.

I agree that, if possible, you should use Fertile Soil. Yet in a guide that promotes using Lodestones over using other high level content (Ardougne cloak for example), I feel that he should add that you can use leprechauns to get your supercompost instead of having all of it in your inventory.
