The Tip.It Forum is a home to over 205,000 registered members who've made millions upon millions of posts over the years. It's a great place for our users to learn about RuneScape, discuss real life matters, and even interact with the staff that help make Tip.It what it is. No matter what your after - odds are we've got what you're looking for.

 

We've come a long way in the recent months and years. We've added new boards, such as the Community Created Tools, and revised numerous rules and policies. However, we're not about to stop here!

 

What would you like to see changed with the Tip.It Forum? What boards would you like to see added or removed? What rules would you like to see changed, laxed, or enforced? If we could, in any way, make your stay more enjoyable - how could we? What features would you like to see added? These are the types or questions we'd like answers to!

Moderator Review

The job of a moderator is not always easy. It can require a lot of time, effort, and a natural sense of leadership. For this reason, we very carefully hand-pick each and every moderator - ensuring that they are not only active enough for the job, but can also set an example and become a role-model for our visitors.

 

It is the job of the moderating team to ensure that we provide a friendly, safe, enjoyable, and hassle-free environment. We do this by:

• Hiding posts which don't abide by our Tip.It Forum Rules.
• Merge threads to make information easy to find.
• Split threads with more discussion value.
• Hide threads which may lead to malicious content.
• Take action against rule breakers and trouble makers posting such content.
• Set a good, friendly, and professional example for each of our visitors to follow.

We have a strict set of guidelines and policies that each and every moderator must follow. For example, each and every warning, ban, (moderator related) private-message, and hidden post requires that it be filed. Our moderator records are extensive, allowing us to do our job swiftly and accurately.

 

However, we are merely a team of 9 dedicated, engaged, and passionate Tip.It forum members. We are very diverse; each and every one having our own set of values, beliefs, and ideas. However, we are not perfect, nor do we have all the right ideas. It is for this reason that we're looking to you!

 

We are here for you. If you're not enjoying your stay here on the Tip.It Forums, then we're not doing our job. That said, we'd like to hear a few things from you! What would you like to see changed about the moderating team? Perhaps you'd like to see us handle given situations differently. Maybe you like the way a specific moderator handled a situation. Maybe you think the opposite. This is your chance to influence the team to better serve you! We are open to any ideas, suggestions, compliments or complaints!

 

All messages will be considered confidential. When discussed with the moderating team, we will ensure that users remain anonymous unless otherwise requested. Only Administrators and the Mod Leader will see your responses.

Please do send in your feedback everyone - we want to hear your suggestions/improvements!

 

I've personally only been on staff as a moderator for a short time, but one thing I would like to mention is that whenever we perform actions as a moderator - be it anything from assisting a user by moving their thread into a more suitable forum for better feedback/discussion to hiding spambot posts - we do our best to provide a fair and accurate assessment of the situation.  Of course we're not perfect, but if (when) we make a mistake, we try and take the best course of action to correct it.

 

Now it's your opportunity to evaluate us.  Obviously I'm part of this community as well firsthand, and I'm certain that you will do the same :).

Keep those reviews coming, guys! Remember, though, that you don't have to stick to the review template. Think outside the box a bit! If it's not covered in template, add it. We want to hear literally anything you think about the forums, its users, the boards, our mods and staff, and anything else you can think of - good and bad!
