Arceus
Is this any guide? A specific guide? Have you tried different browsers? More information would be helpful :). Stev
Thanks for getting to us, mate. The only thing that I can think of is something that Howlin also messaged in our chats - do you use AdBlock? I've never used it, but I'm assuming it has a white-list? If so, please try adding... http://tip.it/runescape/images/*...to it. We primarily use the following directories for our images, where * is the filename: http://tip.it/runescape/images/misc/*http://tip.it/runescape/images/quests/*http://tip.it/runescape/images/items/*http://tip.it/runescape/images/bestiary/*http://tip.it/runescape/images/npcs/*http://tip.it/runescape/images/gallery/*http://tip.it/runescape/images/maps/* You may not be able to use our timers and such because some of them have been updated to not use cookies, but to use localStorage. Please ensure that both are enabled for Tip.It. Were you a user of Tip.It before hand and only recently not able to use our guides and calculators? What are your JavaScript settings? Stev
Is it just the Voyage Calcutator? Do the newer ones work? Ones like: Combat Calculator: http://www.tip.it/runescape/pages/view/combat_calc.htm Silverhawk Caluclator: http://www.tip.it/runescape/pages/view/silverhawkCalculator.htm Transmutation Calculator: http://www.tip.it/runescape/pages/view/divinationTransmutationCalculator.htm From your screenshot, it looks like a styling issue. @Xena_Dragon's the one who seems to maintain that particular calculator, so if it's specific to that one page, I'll prod him about it. What browser are you using?
kilwa5000
no it's not a styling issue. here i can't see pictures : http://postimg.org/image/4kipefden/ and here i can't see the little icons : http://postimg.org/image/uf2nlmfet/ and for the Transmutation Calculator : http://postimg.org/image/tihq6chct/ i have latest version of google chrom and java
Stev
TBH, it's looking more and more like a JavaScript issue. I know that Voyage Calculator, even the styling, seems to heavily rely on it. The Transmutation Calculator is literally entirely built from JavaScript when the page is finished loading. It has no preloaded HTML. Our guide pages use a plugin called lazyload - again, handled by JavaScript. It makes it so that your browser only loads images when they come into view. Your Chrome seems to hate the JavaScript. When one of those pages opens, press F12 and go to console. Do you see any JavaScript errors? If so, which? Sometimes this can be caused by shitty advertisements and such - not something directly cause by us (but we can fix).
kilwa5000
i know the problem is caused buy my computer cause i have the same issue in chrome and firefoxbut is there any way i can fix it .?-i'm using windows xp sweet 5.1- and in google chrom every click pop up an advertising website http://postimg.org/image/uyaem59rz/
Stev
If you're able to get them to work after refreshing 100x, it seems to fail to retrieve jQuery from Google. Are you not able to access these? http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.1/jquery.min.js http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.17/jquery-ui.min.js They'll just be a wall of text. Stev
Every click pops up an advertising website? That sounds like you have a virus...Tip.It has a pop-up that appears once a day. It'll pop-up when the user first interacts with the page. At least I think it's only daily. Seeing all of his JavaScript errors, it might just not be storing that he's already viewed his daily ad. Stev
Back at kilwa5000. Hit F12 again to open your developer window again. Only this time, go to Network. Press F5 to reload the page. You should see a full list of resources that the page retrieves. Click the Status header. What, if anything, is it failing to retrieve?
kilwa5000
lol somehow it works now but i'm sure if i close the browser and open it againg i will have the same problem again http://postimg.org/image/vj10m6l51/
Stev
If it happens again, try using Ctrl+F5 to reload the page. It'll ensure that your browser doesn't use cached files. You may have just had a bad copy of jQuery cached. Who knows. :P.
