How long will it take to get to a max cape?

Hi guys, I've been playing runescape on an off for a few years now, but I've been reinvigorated lately by loads of progress, and I really want to obtain 99 in everything. I have one skillcape so far, woodcutting, and that took quite a while to get. I honestly can't imagine how long all of them must take!

Here are my levels atm:

70 attack

74 strength

78 defence

80 ranged

70 prayer

75 magic

70 runecrafting

26 construction

59 dungeoneering

78 constitution

57 agility

36 herblore

43 theiving

38 crafting

69 fletching

62 slayer

39 hunter

21 divination

50 mining

40 smithing

78 fishing

75 cooking

55 firemaking

99 woodcutting

7 farming

68 summoning

1517 total level

With this information, can anyone make an estimation of how long it will take me to get a max cape? Amount of playing is naturally a factor, and I would say that I play for about ten hours a week, sometimes a little more sometimes a little less. Should I realistically be playing more if I plan on getting a max cape? Or am I okay with what I'm doing? Any estimations and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I think you're going to need to play more unless you happen to be using those 10 hours a week very efficiently.  I don't have a terribly good guess but at that rate it would seem to take several years.

Get started on farming ASAP, and always make sure you train it everyday. For lower levels it's advised to do some quests for free exp. I especially advise unlocking the Elf City, by finishing the Plague quest line.

You should start off with combat, specifically slayer. You'll be able to get all your melee, ranged, and magic done, and also gather a reasonable amount of charms for summoning.

Prioritize non-buyables over buyables, and do fast skills over slow ones. Skills like thieving and hunter should be done first, then mining, fishing, runecrafting, divination and agility.

Dungeoneering is also important, as the rewards you can get are pretty good. You do have to learn quite a bit about dunge first tho.

Knowing your moneymaking methods is also important in order to train all buyable skills. This means firemaking, cooking, fletching, prayer, summoning, herblore, crafting, smithing, and construction.

Realistically though... 10h/week is not a lot at all >.>

10 hours a week is probably just below the ballpark on how much I have played on average over my entire rs career - never been overly metagame efficient, but not been awful either.

I got my max cape shortly after my 10 year vet cape and I have never quit or left rs, most time I've gone without playing at all is maybe a week or 2.

Definitely will take some time, but for the most part, just enjoy the game and the levels will come without you noticing!

More old-school than you know...

I imagine this is very rare, seemingly everyone I know in game takes breaks or at least has went two weeks without playing in a 10 year span, your dedication is impressive

So roughly 550 hours per year? Considering that, it could take you 2+ years to complete depending on how much effort you put in to training your skills and how much cash you have.

“I had a feeling we weren’t coming back from this fight when it began.”

“Do you have any regrets?”

“I don’t. It seems surprising, I know, but I wouldn’t change a thing. This is how it was meant to be.”

“Huh, you never really notice how lovely the day is until you realize you’ll never see it again.”

“Mmmhmm.”
