muggiwhplar
Just wondering what the most profitable boss in OSRS is right now, and what the recommended stats/equipment for it is.
Arceus
I'm not sure on recommended levels but my guess would be Corporal Beast for most money at the moment, due to its relatively recent release. I always appreciate comments/feedback.
muggiwhplar
Do you know if that's only assuming I luck out and get a sigil though? Is it still more consistently profitable than the other bosses?
Artemis1330
Trio sara melee. You don't make much from the small drops (although they do add up). But trips can be up to 8 hours if you want them to be, very fast very consistent kills. I don't have any data but definitely top three gp/hr pvm. max melees, 80+pray. Full guthans, full verac, fire cape, b ring (i), d boots, ags or zgs, fury. Most take super combats over sets now, much better for collecting drops/alching. Don't really need a zammy item either. Corp is very good gp/hr because of the small drops. When done in 3-5 man teams. Plus arcane is still 50m and spec is ~40m. And if you do get that ely... But anyway, I can get some "500 corp kill loot" pics if you want them. Corp is probably right up there as well, could be the best gp/hour but again I don't have data to back me up so I won't make that claim. Gear for corp would be (bgs instead of bone dagger, fyi most teams require bgs now) (karils is always used over bandos, especially in 3-5man teams...Ididn't feel like taking a new pic soz)- Only take 1-2 brews and one less sup rest. Third I'll mention is arma duo. Highly underrated. And if you duo arma with both of you on task it may actually be the best gp/hour in game. Can easily get 30-40 kill trips duo on task. Gear for arma would be (no pic soz) verac helm/slayer helmarma top/botinfin bootsarcher (i)arma cbowdfs duo or spec/ely, if trio odium.barrows gloves fury etc I can post sample invo if interested. Those are my top three gp/hr pvm methods on osrs. 1 I am not a skiller, but i do some skills.
muggiwhplar
Thanks a lot for the detailed response. Do you worry about dying or disconnecting with all that gear? I've never actually been to corp but I had a bunch of experience w/ GWD originally back in 2007-2008. I imagine if you die your friends can just return your loot for you, but if the servers DC are you just out of luck? They keep changing the death mechanics so I'm not sure what the current status on that is.
Artemis1330
Sorry haven't had a chance to respond but I will tomorrow. Short answer is yes it can be a concern. But longterm it's pennies, comparatively, if it happens. And there are ways to avoid this/be ready. also - http://[Use Quick Find Code]/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?380,381,121,65511718 not sure if all that still stands though. Artemis1330
Thanks a lot for the detailed response. Do you worry about dying or disconnecting with all that gear? I imagine if you die your friends can just return your loot for you, but if the servers DC are you just out of luck? They keep changing the death mechanics so I'm not sure what the current status on that is. Dying is rare and if it happens my team/partner will return. It does happen but I've never not had an item returned. Dcing is a bigger problem but thankfully servers have been stable last couple weeks. I did die at the beginning of the dcs a few months ago at sara for ~20m. That sucked, but I can't even tell you how much I've made from pvm on 07. I stopped sara until a dc solution was found, but thankfully corp came out shortly after. Dying at arma is less of an issue because you risk fury and verac helm. Switch up a couple items and you risk next to nothing. Most I've lost at corp is a few d boots. But basically I just don't risk bank if I know servers are bad. I'll either do something else or I'll downgrade one or two pieces of gear to minimalize the risk. I also do not know the current death mechanics situation as I haven't pvm'd in 4 weeks, too busy irl. If you are planning on seriously pvming I'd recommend joining a pvm clan. I am in stud unit. The reqs are high, but ideally you should be using max stats/decent gear anyway. It's very usefull for finding pvm partners for any activity quickly. I have never been scammed in stud unit, and if it happens it's rare and usually avoidable (ex- going with a non rank). I am not a skiller, but i do some skills.
muggiwhplar
Ok thanks. I'll look into joining Stud Unit since I'll be 120 combat in about a week and I've got most of the gear they require. Can I get kicked out for inactivity? I don't spend a whole lot of time on RS these days with the exception of AFKing :P
Artemis1330
They essentially periodically kick the entire clan. They switch to a different friends chat and to get your rank back you must post a pic of gear check. So if you don't keep up with the periodic gear checks (every 3-4 months) then yes. I've been inactive for a bit over a month though and no issues. Business as usual if I want to go corp or something :P I am not a skiller, but i do some skills.
