Gandalf14141 Posted November 26, 2014 Share Posted November 26, 2014 Here's the story. My sister has an iPhone 5c (iOS 7.1.2). She came home Tuesday and said it wasn't working. It couldn't connect to the wireless network (we have Verizon). I looked and the modem firmware was missing (it was blank, I can only assume it was missing). I made a backup to her laptop, restarted it, turned airplane mode on/off, the whole 9 yards. The next logical step was to upgrade the OS. I downloaded it and started the upgrade. Now it won't do anything. iTunes will stop and says that "an unknown error occurred (16)". All that shows up now is the iTunes logo when you first turn a new phone on. My parents are going to take it to an Apple store tomorrow, since I can't figure it out. What can I do to fix this? I want to figure this out so my sister can have her phone again.
