Lag when fighting red dragons or greater demons

Blaze The Movie Fan

Recommended Posts

Sometimes when I'm fighting red dragons or greater demons, the game freezes for a few seconds.

Why is this a problem? It's simple, I waste like 10 of my harralander tars which I could be spending like one or none per kill by using abilities.

Of course I can't use the abilities while the game freezes for a few seconds.

If any of you know a solution to this problem, tell me. Because these harralander tars are not free, and I don't like to waste them.

As Kaur suggested, right click the cog on your action bar and choose revolution, and it will auto-fire off basic abilities that you have set up in the first so many slots, outlined in yellow.  You will still have to fire off Threshold/Ultimates on your own by clicking them or assigning them to hotkeys and pressing them.

Blaze, while you're trying their solution, what browser are you using?  We're going to need to know some under-the-hood info in order to better help you.  I've got this sneaking hunch what's going on.

Try switching to openGL in the graphics settings of the runescape client. Maybe that might work. Also I think it would help people with the same question if you name the topic title better ;)

I could change the title, but most people don't search for a thread of the subject they need help with before making a thread.

Most of them just start making the thread right away.

So I doubt it would help much.

It can help people see what the issue is before clicking on it though, so you might get help a little bit faster with a descriptive title. Otherwise people might incorrectly think it is a rant or something. Just a suggestion :).

"1.4 - Stay on Topic

If you want to discuss a subject that is not currently addressed, create a new thread. Always be specific with your post's title, the subject line should indicate what's inside the thread. ("Look here!" or "Read!! This is important!" do not constitute acceptable thread titles)."

So it does help. Since, you know, following the rules and all is something you're required to do here.

If you have a low-end system running the game, the freezing you're experiencing is likely due to performance issues. Short of upgrading your hardware, there is little you can do. You can try programs like Gamebooster (http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.php) to see if that will help your old hardware go a bit further, but it doesn't work miracles.

So the title of this thread is inappropriate?

I apologize, I never intentionally break the rules, in fact I do my best to follow them for the most part.

Also, my question has already been answered, which is why I find it odd the answered tag wasn't used yet, but I added it now.

If I get a warning for the title of this thread, I deserve it, I will do my best to not do it again later on.

It's OK, just keep it in mind next time. I edited your title for you as well, but feel free to change if further if you wish :).

Sorry for making you feel that way, as I am no mod I had no intention for it to sound like that (not saying that mods do have that intention), I just wanted it to be a friendly reminder :)

You can also increase performance by reducing the screen size, while still having graphics on maximum.

As the size of an explosion increases, the number of social situations it is incapabale of solving approaches zero.

Ensure you are not a social situation.

I thought that maybe having the lowest quality possible would help, but apparently it didn't.

It's not a problem this time since I'm fighting hobgoblins and don't have to waste anything since I fight them with melee.

But I am gonna try making the attacks automatic with ranged when I use it next.

Perhaps it is as simple as the computer not using the graphics card.

Could you do the following and post a screenshot of what it says?

- Load Developer's Console using Alt+~ (or the various of other methods depending on system)

- Type "renderer". (Without " of course ;D ).

- Post the screenshot.

Just try it though, there might be a more severe underlying problem to it. And the case seems similar to what I heard earlier this week.
