RuneTrack Sigs

Currently the RuneTrack activator thing is glitched for me (tried both on Chrome and Firefox and neither was functioning properly).

Perhaps, instead of disallowing RuneTrack viewing threads altogether, why not create a sticky on Help & Advice dedicated entirely to gathering views on your RuneTrack profile?

Once a particular signature hits 10 views, the post may be deleted, as it is redundant after that point.

That way...

  • It lessens the clutter on the board (no separate threads for RuneTrack sigs but instead all in one unified thread)
  • It is a longer, but guaranteed way of getting views (for those who can't use the activator properly, like me)

What do you think of this idea?

The thing is you don't even need anyone to actually click on the signature for it to register as a view. I've generated over 70k views (though it seems to have reset for some reason) on my signature by just having it in my signature and posting regularly.

Then there's also the WarbandTracker website, that offers a Runetrack activating service (Just put in your RSN and it'll generate 10 views for you to activate it instantly).

Yeah you will get views almost instantly just by being a regular poster here. Even if it's your first post on a General Discussion thread it shouldn't take more than a few minutes. The major problem here is that RuneTrack's site is completely clusterscrewed and there is (apparently) no one to fix it. I took mine off because it kept failing - I might try it now to see if it actually works.

We also don't want people creating a forum account for the sole purpose of getting themselves RuneTrack views. We want them to participate a little! :P
