samdaman
Is the Swiftkit tool no longer being updated? From where i'm sitting, it seems to me that swiftkit is no longer actively being worked on. There has not been any updates in a little under a year, and both the quest center, task center, skill calculators, and just general improvements have come to a halt. This makes me consider that this program is not longer "active." If I'm wrong, please let me know, but since I can now successfully pull my quest log here on the site, but not in Swiftkit, I was just wondering at the functionality of using a program that, in my mind, is no longer up-to-date. If there is anything that is planned or something I have missed, please let me know. I really do like the functionality of Swiftkit, but I don't see the benefit if it is no longer being worked on. Stidor
SwiftKit is very much in maintenance mode. If anything important breaks I'll fix it but aside from that no real development is going on. I often get the urge to re-write SwiftKit but I just don't think there's enough of a community behind RuneScape left for it to be worthwhile.
samdaman
First off, thank you for the quick and understandable reply. While I agree that a rewrite of the whole program is not a requirement, I do think that updating some of the extra parts is worthwhile. I don't want to seem that I am disappointed, but having an all-for-one program for Runescape is something I enjoy. I really don't know how much effort it will take to update the Task Center and/or Quest Center, or even if they require a full rewrite of the whole SwiftKit program, but I know that at least I would appreciate the update. I don't intend for this to be a rant and/or complaint, so as to bring this to a more positive ending; I appreciate the program, and while the lack of updates is disappointing, I still use your program and appreciate the utility and functionally it brings. Seanson
I honestly thought that swiftkit was dead up until this point. I've been using it for a day or so now and I've noticed that the calculators are out-dated and there is no OSRS item database. I would consider donating if there was promise to work on the client. If needed I could do some volunteer work (nothing special, just typing if needed) and help get the item database updated/calculators. I would just love to see the client up and running maybe even rivaling the metro-looking OSB (Orion).
Skossan
I also think Sk is dead. Almost nothing is updated and almost everything is broken in the client.
Ile
I also think Sk is dead. Almost nothing is updated and almost everything is broken in the client. Please tell us what is broken. I use SK every day and everything works fine for me.

RSMartijn
The only reason I still use Swiftkit is the automatically correctly resized screenshots and convenient way to drag screenshots. Since that is broken for me right now (see my topic), and apart from a question if I'm using the Chrome option I hear nothing more about it, and since Java is causing me more and more troubles lately, I might go for the official client to circumvent Java and look for a screenshot application that does the same thing as Swiftkit does for me. (gee, that's a long sentence) I've been using Swiftkit for many, many years - since way before it was called Swiftkit, Swiftswitch was awesome - and it's an awesome application, but not really needed anymore for the average player. Only the screenshot option(s) are still very relevant to me.
Conceptirc
It's sad to see that the community that once built up SwiftKit is now the one bringing it down. The client itself is great. Functions as it should. There is just little support from the average player (this topic makes me feel there is some hope, however) in to helping keep the client relevant and with updated content and information. You have to remember how big the world of Runescape is, and that a handful of individuals are responsible for creating and maintaining this client. To expand it in to something such as OSRS is a massive task, one that may not be needed as to the other options out there.
Stidor
After the chrome update broke SwiftKit+Chrome I'm going to look at SwiftKit embedding the RSClient like it does/did Chrome. So there may be some updates in the near future.
Imperator
I am very appreciative of the staff working to keep this tool maintained. Sad to think that development has slowed down although I wouldn't know since I am a new user of it. I would very well consider financing development in conjunction with other Swift kit enthusiasts. What does everyone think? Check out my upcoming Progress thread in the spoiler! *Currently postponed until further notice
haubro18
I'd like to fund it but now that I'm not working any more and a student instead I can't afford very much. Thanks to the Swiftkit staff for fixing the chrome issue. I really like the idea of putting the client into the game. P.S. Maybe while you're at it you can replace Swiftbrowse with Chrome? Go to View menu -> settings -> select Use default browser (external links). This will make links open in your default browser instead of Swiftbrowse. Stidor
So far so good with the update to embed the RS Client. Have decided to completely remove the Chrome option as the only reason to leave it would be for HTML5 BETA which seems to have been abandoned.
