Stingy Slayer Monsters?

I am very frustrated with the lack of money coming in from slayer compared to other people...People in my clan say they get like 1m gp worth of stuff per task, yet I average maybe 200k per task. One person has the same slayer level as me (82) so it's not because my slayer is so low. Today I've done Jungle Strykeworms (200k), dust devils (5k), Baby Mutated Jadinkos (150k) and Elves (400k) for a grand total of <1m gp yet apparently someone in my clan with the same slayer level as me got 4m in 5 tasks...

I've not had a task get even close to 1m except two times when I did gargoyles and got roughly 700k. After gargoyles, it's elves and aviansies from which I get 400k or so from (apparently people get 1m per aviansie task; I'm not sure how as I pick up every adamant bar and more and only get 400k ish). After those, my profits plummet to negligible >.>

On a somewhat related note, I'm also annoyed (but not as much so as the lack of profits in slayer) that I haven't gotten any good rdt drops :/. I understand that this is based off of luck, so I'm not as irritated, but it is still disappointing for a dragon 2h sword to be my most valuable loot. That dragon 2h sword was only worth 160k, and it was from the Chaos Elemental, so it probably wasn't even a rdt drop.

Anyways, does anyone know what tasks to skip because of horrible profits and exp? I don't mind not having profits if they're good exp, but most of my tasks seem to be bad exp AND bad profit (i.e. I don't mind Necharyaelas  uglies because they're nice exp).

A lot of the money made from slayer nowadays comes from picking up random garbage, whether it's alchable or just in high demand. Examine everything and establish a price which you decide it's worth it to pick up an item, and pick up everything above that price. Aside from that, all you need to do is hope for tasks with decent drops such as:

Exiled Kalphite marauders & guardians (kalphite task)

Steel dragons

Gargoyles

Spiritual warriors and mages (haven't done rangers in a long time)

Abyssal demons

Automatons

Tormented demons

Glacors

Ascension beasts

From the empty days of hope, deny the darkness
Follow my voice, we'll run far away from here

If only to hide, to escape this life
And live forever, forever in the sun

I understand how you feel.

My personal problem is the fact that slayer masters only assign a few monsters at a time, and because of that I usually just choose monsters of my own to fight.

350 at a time at most isn't enough for me.

I wanna kill over 1,000 monsters at a time, which I do when I'm not on a slayer assignment.

First off, if it's Aviansie, they are most likely fighting Kree'arra, which I highly suggest you do as well. Even if you don't get that many kills a trip.

Second, the RDT contains nothing of worth. The entire RDT is a ridiculous heap of junk. That said, when it comes to random luck/RDT luck, I did not get my first dragon legs until 97 Slayer. I just today got my first Dragon Chainbody after hundreds of KQ that I did for Kalphite tasks. Luckily, you're right on the brink of good slayer tasks. 83 Slayer gives you Spiritual Mages, and while you should high alch the Dragon Boots, they also drop a large amount of Battlestaves that high alch for 9.7k each.

Unfortunately, mid-80s Slayer is not the gold mine that it used to be. Back in 08, you could easily pull in a 6m Spiritual Mages task when Dragon boots were 500k a piece. However, that's simply the ebb and flow of the game. I skip all Jadinko tasks, because they're crap money - good exp though. Set your sights on Aviansie (do Kree!) Greater Demons (do Kril!), Spiritual Mages, Dagganoths (do DKs, or at the very least solo mage Dagganoth Rex with Magic Notepaper to keep the bone drops) - these all bring in great money. If you can persevere up to 90/95 Slayer (trust me - I know how far off that is) that's where your average task reaps in the millions. Airuts bring me 3m a task if I keep their bones, that sell for 9k a piece. Ganoderms are also a very easy task (for their Slayer level) that bring in a lot of money.

I have all the 99s, and have been playing since 2001. Comped 4/30/15

My Araxxi Kills: 459::Araxxi Drops(KC):

OK, thanks, I'll try to get 90. On the note of doing the gwd bosses for the tasks, how many kills of the boss per trip do you think I can make? I can only kill qbd twice per trip if that is any indication.

It really depends - I'd offer to go with you (you can add me if you want) but unfortunately you have to do the majority of damage to get Slayer xp, so that's a bit counter productive.

With your stats, especially with your 99 Prayer, you should be able to stay a good while. I couldn't give an accurate estimate of kills, I don't even keep a record of how many kills I get >.< but I usually get about 170 kc, including the minions, obviously. The greatest tool to staying long is Soul Split, and your Ancient Curse prayer (Turmoil, etc). Also an Enhanced Excaliber. Kree is a relatively harmless boss, but he tends to whittle away at your food, vs. make you eat 7 rocktail a kill. This is why Soul Split is so helpful.

Its a shame that you can't get Zil or Graar tasks. (Although with Soul Reaper you can..)

Edit:

For Kree, this is my set up - Death Lotus works great as well - Royal Cbow will be slower kills, but Noxious is in no way required. (Gloves are Pernix, but you can bring and then bank a Shard of Zaros for getting KC)

Notes:

I bring Penance aura, not vamp - but I'm in the middle of using vamp so I couldn't swap out. Scrim is Cruelty - but a scrim isn't necessary.

I bring a Yak full of Rocktails, I hardly ever use them all.

The Darkbow is for using Resonance, which I forget to use 99% of the time.

People still do Spiritual Mages?
