Lagg on runescape

Hello everyone,

I'm having this problem for a long time already, so i hope someone is able to help me. When i play runescape i got like massive lagg when i play on high graphics, therefore i play on low graphics, but even then i lagg when i do bossing for example.

I got a HP Pavilion Notebook PC with the following things:

An AMD A-10 processor with Radeon HD Graphics 2.10 GHZ

8 GB RAM with 7,19 GB available

Windows 8.1 64 bits.

I did some internet speed test and my internet doesn't seem to be problem. Also i use DirectX 11. Are my laptop specifications just too low to play runescape without lagg?

Hope someone will be able to help me, would be amazing :)

Could you do the following and post the picture?

Go in Developer Console by pressing " Alt " + " ~ ". Then type in " renderer ". Make a screen of that. Type line " displayfps " and make a screen of that. Lastly, " heap " and again the screen please.

That should give me sufficient information.

For one, I can see your GPU is pretty bad. It scores just shy of 500 points. For example, the most standard integrated GPU scores a tiny bit higher (Source: www.videocarcbenchmark.net).

You might want to try to switch mode from OpenGL to DirectX. Although I think that won't make it any better.

It seems you also do not have any Drivers installed for you GPU, might want to download those here: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/mobile?os=Windows%208.1%20-%2064.

For the rest I am not seeing much wrong. Try the above, if that doesn't work make a picture of your graphic settings in-game and post it here please.

It sometimes just revert to safe mode. Best what you now can do is delete the cache, that will force the client to re-asses the settings.

A lot of newer low end systems have rather high resolutions for their graphic capabilities. If you can set you max screen size ingame to like anything but any that can help a lot.

I used to have a laggy preload with an i5 and 770 gtx regardless of what I did. It was due to them being newer and not as compatible with Jagex's garbage java. They fixed it and it works fine now. You might have a similar issue. Consider updating java if you can.

I tried clearing cache and  i rerunruned auto setup, but when i login it keeps going to safe mode, cant also cange to directx or opengl.

Hmm... that is odd.

In that case, best shot you'll have is contacting Jagex Technical Support here: https://[LikelyScam]/m=ticketing/technical_support_2014?cat=88

They usually respond rather fast. Explain what you have tried doing so far: Lowering graphics, switching display mode, clearing cache and already using Client. Give them also your current set-up as you did in first post, but also add your Java version and Client Version.
