Diomedus
I've been playing the game for a long time, but haven't done much bossing at all. I maxed my combat levels over the DXPW, along with a few other skills, so I've got 5 left. I like dungeoneering and sinkholes because it's not as much of a grind, more of actually playing a game. I want to get in to bossing because it feels like a lot more fun to me. I don't have a lot of time to play, so solo bossing only pretty much, I don't want to have to deal with group bossing for now. Maybe in the future, but not now. So, for solo bossing, I would like to know what equipment i need. Significant high level stuff I have: 99 all combat skills, prayer, herblore, summoning Drygore MacesOverloadsall achievement diary stuff except desert amulet 4, I haven't beaten all the dominon tower stuff, mostly just need journal pages.maxed ports if the death lotus darts are good, all 3 sets of port armor, and the magic weapons, I have the stuff to make the melee and ranged weapons, but I have drygores.royal crossbow6th age circut ringamulet of furylava cape (going to do the fight kiln)full bandosabyssal wandfull guthanfull karildreadnips and the dominion tower glovesvine whipEEEvampirism and penance aurasranger boots and robin hood hat (old school player)full void, all helmets, elite torso, is it worth getting elite everything?500 vampyres cremated if blisterwood stuff is goodarcher ringfull gano and ~250m to work with, I can make more I do also have all the quests done if there's something relevant I forgot about. So, what do I need? I think either range or mage set up works for most bosses, but I'm not opposed to melee either. Should I get one of the Nex sets, better weapons, ring/necklaces I need, etc? Thanks for your help. P.S. if someone could guide me to where to look for optimal ability bar set ups, that'd be sweet too. Wkw
Drygore MacesOverloadsall achievement diary stuff except desert amulet 4, I haven't beaten all the dominon tower stuff, mostly just need journal pages. Desert ammy 4 is only great for KKmaxed ports if the death lotus darts are good, DL Darts are best range weapon behind ascensions and nox. make these, but dont make too many off hand dartsall 3 sets of port armor, and the magic weapons, I have the stuff to make the melee and ranged weapons, but I have drygores. Ports are only good for tanking, but are very low upkeep. Wand/orb is next best to seismic and nox, again, well worth making before the armorroyal crossbow Ignore this if you make DL darts6th age circut ringamulet of furylava cape (going to do the fight kiln) Try to do the klin with all three styles, so you can get the melee/range/mage cape!full bandosabyssal wand Sell this once you have seasingerfull guthan Keep this if you are training, it has niche use, mainly in slayerfull karil selldreadnips and the dominion tower gloves gloves niche, dreadnips are 100% needed for raids!vine whip you have gores, sellEEE free healing at no adrvampirism and penance aurasranger boots and robin hood hat (old school player) sell these, t40, worthlessfull void, all helmets, elite torso, is it worth getting elite everything? YES! superior is the best dps/accuracy armor in the game, and making it elite gives added prayer. not so good at solo bosses, because it has almost no def500 vampyres cremated if blisterwood stuff is good only good for vyres or wildy, as its free T70 stuffarcher ringfull gano if you have seasinger, sell gano. My comments in bold. TL;DR, get higher stat weapons, as a seasinger wand/orb is better than an abyssal one, no contest, for example. Vine whip is T75, its worthless compared to gores.Try to buy subjugation robes (dps mage) and armadyl armor (dps range) until you can afford virtus/pernix and tect/sirenic.. but among all, T85 or T90 weapons before power armor Runescape player since 2005 Ego Sum Deus Quo Malum Caligo et Barathum
Diomedus
I have full seasinger plus the weapons already. I did some research, and my plan is to dump some of the lower tier gear. I am done with slayer, it's 99, and I have zero interest in getting 200m. My thought was to buy virtus armor (seasinger weapons) pernix armor, ascension main hand, and death lotus off hand, and buy the glacor boots for mage and range, and get the dungeoneering necklaces too. Or would it be better to just buy the nex armor, forget the boots and necklaces and build up money for the t90 weapons I don't have? Also is there a consensus of dual wield vs 2h is better, or is it dependent on what boss/abilities? Thanks for all the feedback so far. Vann
No point in Glacor boots as they are tank boots. Get Virtus and Pernix boots along with your full Virtus and Pernix. Ascension Mh + DL oh is good. Use seasinger wand and orb until you can afford Nox Staff. Don't invest much in Melee gear. Drygores and Bandos is fine. I would work on a Chaotic Spear for Corp Also a great way to get into bossing is to do daily Death Reaper assignments. Make sure group tasks are turned off but turn on extended assignments (20-25 kills vs 5-8) because you want to stay for the full hour of an instance to not just be lighting money on fire. In like with Reaper, don't worry about buying Amulet of Souls. It's worth it to get 300 reaper points (2-3 weeks) and make your own. I would also do the Broken Home quest and post quest activities for the Asylum Surgeons ring. 2nd best ring (after Ring of Death) and free (500k if you lose it).
