Whats with f2p mages?

How is it that with the basic spell book, mages can hit 400+ ? Why are they dropping chaos runes in the f2p wildy? Is there an explanation for this?

400 in EoC is not really considered a big hit. If you mean "Why am I not hitting higher?" the answer is that you need a higher level weapon - either a bat wand and book or one of the Dungeoneering staves. The basic elemental staves will not hit much of anything because they are tier 1 weapons. I'm not sure what you mean by them dropping chaos runes, but there are spawns at some points, yes. Bolt spells used to require them but that was changed with EoC.

Im a Legacy pker, certain people drop chaos and death runes, and the highest lvl spell is fire blast at lvl 59. :/

Teleblock uses both chaos and death runes, is a f2p spell and is a staple of pking.

It's the "new" combat system, so much fun in multi-PvP when you go from max to 0 hp by 3 simultaneous hits :wub: But as Arceus said, it's probably from Teleblock. No idea why people use it though, most people PK with only 15K risk.
