Horrible Experience with SK

Hello ladies and gentlemen, 0Z here, started playing Runescape again after sometime and have found that your client is the way to go if you are going to play serious. So with that being said, I googled Swiftkit, and to my shock I find the main page where u download, is not online, due to being ddosed. Well I really wanted to try your client so I went to Cnet and downloaded the client. Once installed I get a 35761 error.

 

Error 35761 (Request timed out) in procedure startupConnect of Form frmMain

 

Now this error occure by both normal permissions and administrative rights. Here is my error logs.

I have already allowed it through my firewall in every way possible. AV is bitdefender and it has not picked up or blocked anything. So what is going on? I am having a HORRIBLE first time experience with this program. Thank you all and Happy New Year

This relates to the issues we are having with our service providers who are currently being attacked, it's not our site specifically that is down it's a large chuck of our providers network.

 

What is happening is that the launcher is trying to update and can't reach our servers because of the attack. At the moment the vast majority of swiftkit users are experiencing the same difficulties however swiftkit will normally bypass the update process.

 

However because you are running swiftkit for the first time it needs to update in order to open as not all files etc are included in the install process.

 

I'm afraid there's not much we can do until our provider is back online.

Thanks for posting this, I waited for the service to come back online and then I opened swiftkit, it updated just fine. However when I click Play Runescape (even on the browser you have) it just says swiftkit has stopped working, windows will try to find a solution, and then crashes out. Asking me to debug or close.
