  1. I completely agree, I honestly admire her as she seems less concerned with xp and more with enjoying the game. Or she just isn't familiar with how RS works and just mages in bandos because it's so fun and thrilling, no problem. It's also super fun to have been playing for 7 years and to have 1400 days played on your account and to know that other people have twice as less and are higher ranked. She's doing it wrong and it certainly is NOT good to be different in that kind of way L. people play the way they want to play That's why she has a [cabbage] ton more exp than you and is still having fun. Honestly sometimes I think you ENJOY causing E-Drama.
  2. That is entirely possible. So depressing/funny at same time
  3. You don't understand though. Grinding is what made RS a different type of game that people wanted to play. If you worked hard and played a lot, then you would be seen as a top player and low lvls would 'look up' to you. I'd be willing to say that if botting was under control that over half of the people with 'end-game' content would be banned. Not going to name any clans, but if you have ever been in any large main/pure clan, botting is a common topic and is freely talked about. Yea people would still have end-game content if botting was under control, but it wouldn't be nearly as common and wouldn't be thought of as a neccessity to play the game. Off-topic: Jagex started completely reseting to level 10 stats again. Someone whos name started with a J was reset with over 70m range exp and max combat today.This means no more halfing stats hopefully.
  4. Imagine how much all those computers would cost though. Even if they were all used and old(in which case a lot of bots couldn't be ran on them) it would still take a while to pay them off. You also have to pay the people making sure bots don't malfunction, check to make sure computers aren't having problems, etc. Gold is priced at .65 per mill(?) and estimating that green dragon bots can make 400k per hour, then you're making ~$.30 per bot per hour. Looking at the pics they have ATLEAST 100 computers which are all running 8(# from the screens on the first pic) per computer. 800 bots making $.30 per hour is $240 per hour. You have to pay the electricity bills, price of the computers(would take a long time to pay off), and the people who manage the bots. Even though they probably have 300+ computers at this place, I doubt it's good cash compared to what people in the US/UK make on average. I don't know the average wages in China so I could be completely wrong about everything in this post(may be great money in that part of the world). I love calculating so I'll post my two cents too. Fist: Price of the computers won't cost that much as you are thinking. They can probably buy large quantities directly from manufacturers. So no extra cost for brand name, taxes, import taxes, less shipping, ... That aside, take a look at the other costs: People who manage the bots are paid like 10$/day? Let's assume you need 24 to run them 24/7. 240$/day for labour. Electricity is maybe another 240$/day. Cost of memberships, assuming they pay the full ammount and don't use stolen credit cards comes to 800 x 6$ = 4800$. Divided by 30 that gives 160$/day. Cost of maintaining a gold-selling website, some cheap advertisement and rent. 80$/day. = 720$/day in cost + price of computers. I'll take your guess of 240$ profit/hour, that gives 5760$ profit/day - 720$ costs = 5040$ profit/day One week gives 35.280$ and covers your investment of 100 computers. After that one week you're gaining 151.200$/month per 100 computers. I don't know how much you make, but I don't make that much. :wink: 0.0 would be really hard to find true amount though because of bans/problems lol, Still amazing

  6. No offence, but what is that based on? Why would a site that shamelessly puts bots throughout the game to advertise itself stop doing so when more attention is given to them?[/hide] Wouldn't that be the point of advertising in the first place? No idea why they would do that when they still offer bots to people. I think it was along the lines of them not wanting new players' experiences to be ruined by mass spammer right after they finish the tutorial. Considering the resource gathering bots are much worse than a few random spammers, and many other such sites are still advertising using bots, that makes little sense to me. If there is truth to what you've read, that particular site has Jagex's talent for making sound business decisions. ;) I decided to go find the thread on Zybez to find the botting site's News Post:
  7. (15:08:17) <[CI]RuneScript> *** [ TRACKER ]: Dungeon(100->120) +89,907,246 | Graphs http://runetracker.org/track-amygdala How did you get 90m dg exp in 3 months when you're not in any dg clan/ I've never seen you dung before.
  8. Yes it was an interesting read, but I don't think JaGex knows what they're up against I can pretty much say that most of the people that actively play the game have botted at some point, not including gold farmers. It's pretty much gotten to the point where legit players are the minority. I highly doubt that half of their income goes to hunting down bots, otherwise we wouldn't have a problem, would we? Out of all my friends who bot, the only ones who have ever gotten a 14 day ban was because of using a AutoClicker. For those not familiar with bots, autoclickers dont have antiban and dont move the cursor. Jagex says they up their 'bot' detection, but then why hasn't one(out of 100 or so friends on my friends list who bot) of my friends been banned? I think he's mainly talking about gold farmer bots(accounts made soley to make RSGP and sell it IRL), and not player bots(players who bot their stats enable to boss, pk, max out, have some status, have max gear, etc.). I really don't think Jagex cares about real players who bot their stats
  9. That's part of the reason botting is bad. Now every low joe player can afford 99 prayer/99 herblore/99 smith when they were once respected 99's. Now the cost of them is less than 1/2 and they are extremely common(yea that might be because of overloads/turm, but they still cheap as hell now even with those added bonuses).
  10. Have deadclicks been fixed yet? Can't log in to scape atm so can't find out for myself
  11. I would think I was a big cause of claws dropping to 16 or 17M. :P. Then again, I think the reason they were high before was this: How are claws lost in the game? When they held 32M, they were lost in PvP. If you killed someone and they lost claws, you rarely got them as the drop. Now, not many claws are disappearing. You also get people like me getting a very steady 30+ pairs a month... would still be higher cost if less there were less botters Edit: Did some research and the 3 main botting sites didn't have TD bots and there were threads saying it would be impossible to make because there was no way to predict what combat style it would use next. There are probably more advanced botting sites(cant mention; hint: rid are the initials) that aren't as popular that might have a script like that. highly doubt it due to the feedback on those threads though. Maybe those 'bots' were jsut extremely anti-social
  12. Another example: Bob just spent 2 years of casual RS playing to finally achieve full Profound Armour and a Zamorak Halo. All the time he was logged in he was at castle wars having a fun time. When he finally gets his prestiged armour, his friend pms him that he jsut found this awsome Castle Wars bot. Bob doesn't think much of it because he knows that his friend will get banned, so he obiviously warns him to stop botting or face the consequences. One month has passed and his friend has had his private chat off the whole time. Bob notices him log on and asks him how he's doing. His friend replies, "L0L dude jsut botted full profound, was suicide botting the whole month lololo." His friend keeps bragging about it over the next few months and Bob feels a little disturbed that his friend still hasnt been banned. Bob then goes to try and get 120 dg he works for 5 months and finally gets 99 after casual gaming. He notices his friend came to his party in a 120 dung cape and full profound. They both started the goal of 120 dg at the same time so how could his friend get 120 dg faster? He can keep his bot on for 24 hours while Bob can only dg for 3 hours a day gaining around 500k exp and his friend is gaining 1200k exp a day without even working. A few months pass and Bob gives up hope on Jagex banning his friend. He then ragequits or starts botting because of half of his friends list is gaining 99s faster than he could imagine by botting and his old 'accomplishments' are now dwarfed by everyone elses. The domino effect then again will spread and RS will die because of the amount of bots. Bottings honestly gotten to the point where when I post a 90+ stat pic on my clan forums they ask me what bot I used. So pathetic.
  13. Why should I care that someone's so desperate for virtual 'achievements' that they get a program to play for them? I play to have fun, not to be better than everyone else. The feeling of accomplishment when I complete a goal of mine/reach a specific goal is enough for me. ;) :thumbsup: Thumbs up to this! Example: Someone only plays this game for bossing and pking. He's currently soloing the mole with his lvl 60 stats and pking with his dlong because he hates training. He sees thousands of bots at masterfarmers, training slayer(while he's trying to get his combat stats up to boss more), and whiles he's trying to train range up at the ranging guild he sees even MORE BOTS. Eventually he believes that everyone who has high stats must have botted and it's not against the rules. He goes to said bot site and maxes out all of his combat skills in around 3 months while you haven't gotten 1 99 in a year or playing. Wouldn't that make other legit 'in-the-making' bossers and pkers jealous and then cause them to bot which eventually would start a domino effect? Then everyone who plays rs in a few years will bot their stats due to it being so common while strolling around rs and rs is a dead game. Yea some people play to level their stats and all but the majority play for competition and endgame content and soon the only way to keep up will be to play 10 hours a day or bot. I'm personally a pure who likes to mini and cant be bothered to do castle wars for a halo because it's way too time consuming. 9/10 of my friends lists bots and one of them is maxed stats and 112 dung all off bots. It makes me mad because he has all the offensive chaotics/halo/max cash and more to spare without even working for it while I'm not even maxed, no halo, and I have less opportunity to have fun in the game compared to every other botter in the game. Does this mean I should bot to keep up? Enlighten me. In Wicked's case he likes to boss, but TD bots that crowd the spawns and lower the claw prices take out the fun in the game. How do you think he feels about 17m claws(ik he stakes for msot of his cash-pro stalker-but I bet he would have a lot more fun if claws were valued higher. Bots ruin the game for everyone whether you think so or not.
  14. I didnt fabricate anything :o 90k/hr, for one ? I clearly stated that there was a thread that had a proggy of 90k/hr. Not sure if it was fabricated though.
