  1. In moderation I don't mind most abbreviations. The one that really bugs me though is "I'm going to" or "I'm gonna" shortened to Ima: brb, ima get something to eat. Worst of all is when it's used in the negative. I HAVE seen this done before: Just let a guy tele me to ice plateau and got pked, ima not do that again. That one makes me want to do some violence.
  2. It's called the rogue's den, it's under the bar in Burthope.
  3. I think it took me about 2 hours start to finish in the room, that doesn't include collecting the tokens. Just killed my rune armor over and over for them though, and that went by pretty quick.
  4. He is up the southern most ladder in the center (east-west wise) in the tree gnome village, the maze village south of ardougne.
  5. Well, think of it like this, 55 to 70 slayer is right around 571k. Using the lost city master, my best guess is that each assignment gives roughly 9k on average (sometimes much more, sometimes much less, but on average). That works out to about 63 assignments. If I press hard I can do two good assignments in a day. By good I mean assignments which give 9k or more xp, black demons, fire giants, kalphites, etc. In hours, I'd say that a good 9k or more assignment takes me 2-3 hours on average which is why I can barely finish one on a lazy day (school keeps me too busy). So if you knuckle down I think you could do it in a month, but 2 months may be more realistic. Another way to look at is is that you get the same number of slayer xp as the number of hits the monster you're fighting has. So your question boils down to how long will it take me to inflict 571K damage, which varies by monster, but you can probably make a good estimate given your stats. Best of luck!
  6. I fight on controlled most frequently. When I'm close to an attack or def level I'll switch it up, but by and large controlled is the way I go. I generally try keeping my str 2 or 3 levels above my attack...don't ask, I don't have a reason... but I recently sold my whip and will be training str till 85 slayer.
  7. I would at least like to have the water system make some more sense. I understand that you can't get water from a well without a bucket, but you can't use that bucket to get water from a fountain? Doesn't make much sense. And also it HAS to be a bucket of water to wet your clay, not a jug, not a vial, you can't even dunk the clay straight into a fountain or under a sink. I can never remember which vessel I need to hold whater for which application!
  8. The first thing that came to my mind was those stupid steel dragons. I'd love to lower their defence, and if you can wield and antifire shield with the xbow, or if the dagger works well enough, it might be possible. BTW, I finished the quest late last night, where do I get the xbow and the dagger?
  9. Hey all, I was just thinking of perhaps adding a little building somewhere that would be the RS Movie Theatre. In the theatre you could go in and select cutscenes from quests you have completed, to relive some of the action. In my case, I can think of one or two times that my comp lagged during a cutscene and when I reconnected the quest was over (one of the quests in keldagrim comes to mind). I'd like to see what happened during that cutscene. And of course, I'd like to watch the cutscene with the censor kitten again too. It could be expanded upon too, though I'm not entirely sure how. Comments?
  10. The context I most frequently hear it in is when a player waits around dangerous or new monsters for other players to die. ie when Dag Kings came out many people went down to the dungeon with nothing on, just so they could pick up good gear from those who died exploring the new area. I don't see any reason the term shouldn't apply to pking situations described above and the like though.
  11. Is this true? It would seem the opposite of what I think would happen. Players need more money to support construction so they sell their items for more. OTOH, you've got players with less money to spend... anyone here take an economics class?
  12. Gah you beat my 148! Nice total :) congrats.
  13. I would definately like to be able to size the window though, at anything over 1024x768 the game is very difficult to see. Beyond 1280x1024 it is unplayable.
  14. Oooh, so that's 1300+ (more with appendices) pages of literature, I can see why you were too tired to read the 4 pages of posts  and you've got to admit, the quadratic formula is kind of a plug and chug thing... no thought neccessary. Now if you derived the quadratic formula in 6th grade, that would be a bit more impressive ;)[/good natured ribbing]
  15. Wow! This thread has it all! A well written anecdote, an intelligent discussion (that almost but didn't really go to far), witty retorts... And Chris, I must say you have the patients of a saint to not just smack your head on the keyboard with the title only readers. Oh wait, why am I talking to YOU, I'm level 107
