RuneScape Information

  1. Thanks for the tips! Love the drop list, lol
  2. I got 3 darts in the raffle and they expire on Nov 1. My combat is 119 and slayer 85. Any suggestions? I've never done much bossing. Thank you!
  3. the person asking the question might like to know how to find out the answer for sure
  4. Here is a way to test: When you use the regular antifire potion (lvl 69) and the anti-dragon shield, you are 100% protected from the fire. If the dragon only fights with melee -- like iron and steel -- and you stay out of melee range, your life bar will not even come on. They cannot hit you at all unless you get close. So you can use them as a test, let your potion run out while maging or ranging from a safe distance, turn on prayer, and see if your life bar comes on. If so, you are no longer fully protected from the fire, because from a distance, fire is their only weapon. I think you get a game message in the chat box too when you are fully protected from the fire or not. If the dragon fights with magic -- such as mith, black -- you'll be 100% protected from the fire with your shield and potion, but your protect magic prayer or deflect magic curse can only partially protect you from the magic, so you will still need to eat or regenerate.
  5. Get a charming imp if you can. It picks up the charms for you, so you can gather them automatically. When you get to level 57, you can train fast by using a Spirit Larupia to TP to the obelisk iin Felldip, and use a Duel ring to TP to the bank chest at Castle Wars. No more running from bank to obelisk to bank.
  6. I have found this page very helpful: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Making_money
  7. This is so helpful! Thank you! Exactly the info I needed.
  8. Hi the forum -- In what order would you prioritize leveling the 9 skills that allow access to player-owned ports? Which would you do first, last, etc? I don't have any 90s yet in those 9 skills, but it looks like a lot of fun, adventuring on the high seas, and I'd like to work toward it. Thanks for your advice!
  9. The Highwayman. When I was a very new player (this is 2002) and I would have to walk everywhere, each time I came toward Falador from the south, the Highwayman would try to mug me, and I would have to run away (did running exist back then?) because I wasn't strong enough to survive him. I probably had a wooden shield and a bronze sword. I was so happy when I grew strong enough to kill him with my bare hands! I still do so whenever I get the chance.
  10. I was once in the top 300 herbalists in the game, long ago. Probably couldn't make much more than a super range pot at the time. Highest rank I ever had, by far.
  11. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that!
  12. Mid 2002, I was browsing around on the internet looking at online games. A lot of people still had dial-up back then. The olden days, ha. I was just having a look around and came across Runescape. I think I played for about a half an hour before I becane a member. I've always viewed RS as a virtual world first and a game second, always thought virtual reality was the future of entertainment, and imagined how virtual worlds would evolve. It's been fun and interesting and sometimes sad, watching RS evolve. Back then the community was much smaller of course and people were more friendly, less suspicious and wary. I remember when I was about a level 7, a player named Lobardin offered me a sapphire ammy and I thought I was in heaven.
  13. Too old to play Runsescape? Never! I was "old" by this thread's definition when I created McFaire twelve years ago. I may be away for long stretches, but I always return for binges. For me, it's not really a question of being too old for games, or even a question of having too many responsibilities. It's just that a lot of things go on in real life that are more exciting, more fun, more thrilling, more compelling, more satisfying. But there is something about Runescape that always calls me back eventually. McFaire Lives!
