60 Mining, 34 Smith, Knights Sword

Well, played for another hour or two yesterday. Got 60 Mining, so I decided to start on the smithing goal. Hence, the Knight's Sword Quest. Started out trying it with my rudimentary German skills on the Germen servers. Then I realized that I really didn't want to think that hard... =|. Oh well, still got me up to 34 Smithing.

I've as such learned that I have no money. I've got about 1k iron ore from before powermining, ~7k cash, and a set of steel armour (that I actually can't wear yet...=0). The talk of the HYT chat is that really the only established low-level f2p money-maker is flipping (and that runes were a good start with low capital). Another option suggested were maples (low dungeoneering and WC) or else willows. Anyone have any other suggestions or ideas?

Anyways, pics,

Unfortunately, flipping is really the only good F2P moneymaking method but with what little money you have it won't be very fast. It's been ages since I was flipping at that level so I really don't know what works anymore. Your best bet is to look at the top 100 most traded items and find things that are used a lot with low prices (like runes or logs) or consumables used to make other items (ores, raw fish, etc..).

Find a low priced item (under 50gp) and try to buy as many as you can for 1 or 2 less than mid and then sell them for 1 or 2 more than mid.

Maples worked really well for me when I first started, and raw tuna and pure essence were always my go to items when I didn't want to sift through the list for new items. This was before EoC and RuneSpan though so I don't know how well they'll work now.
