First blog post about the chore of bonus exp weekend.

Helloooo there! So basically I have the goal of attempting to stay awake for the entire Bonus exp weekend. star_in_the_sky had the great idea i start a blog up about this experience so I thought I might as well give it a go.   I will most likely train agility for the whole thing, possibly have a summoning break.   Ill attempt to post on this blog regularly during the event, so ill let you guys and girls know how I'm doing. I have all hopes of staying awake for the entire thing but who knows? P

One tough FireLady

After finishing Recipe for Disaster I felt strong. Strong enough to even try Branches of Darkmeyer, which at the end involves killing a Vyrewatch named Vanstrom Klaus. After doing all kinds of chores around Darkmeyer to get access to the Blisterwood tree, I grabbed myself a lot of blisterwood stakes and good food and tried it. Only to be killed by that blood special of his. Fortunately, I respawned in Canifis and used the Drakan medaillion to get back to Darkmeyer - and my gravestone - in time

Oh Parents, Part IX

Wow! #9 already! :o   Dad: So you're washing dishes right? <Everyone else is leaving to go out somewhere while I stay home> Me: . . . No one else is gonna be home to do it, so who else will? Dad: Don't give me that attitude! Me: Stop asking stupid questions then. :( Mom: Yea! Stop asking dumb questions!   Bless my mother.

Recipe for disaster went green

After I defeated those beasties from The Elder Kiln quest (those new and improved Tzhaar look awesome by the way) I immediately felt more powerful. In part that was caused by gaining a combat level, and gaining a second one with the Early Bird Bonus. So it came to it that, after doing a Barrows run, I felt strong enough to try and take another shot at killing Karamel. The Karamel from the final fight in the Recipe for Disaster quest. I started that quest when it came out a couple of years ago, b

YtHaar

A couple weeks ago the weekly update featured the new Tzhaar and and the Elder Kiln quest. With an early bird bonus for those who managed to complete it within the first two weeks. At first I totally didn't plan to do the quest, it said something about fighting off multiple beasties of combat level 300 and higher. I really thought that was ought of my league. However, the people in the friend chat thought otherwise, and they convinced me to do the quest anyway. Since the dying safe I finally ag

YtHaar Hero III: Legend of (Obsidian) Rock

I'm mostly only writing this to make a YtHaar pun.   But in any case, I'm a YtHaar and proud of it.     Got me some sweet level-ups from the xp rewards, too.     That's Promethium weapons, Spellbook Swap, and...uh...88 ranged. Not bad. I'll take it!   I don't understand why the quest expected me to be indignant at the TzHaar culture. All the time they'd be like, "Yep, we send Ga'al off the the Fight Pits because they're useless to our society," and I see a chat option that goes (paraphrase)

Cooking to 99!

I've decided to strive for 99 Cooking! It shouldn't be too bad, in fact, it should be one of my fastest 99's yet! Coming in around a short speed of about 33-36 hours before getting from 89-99. Fletching, I believe, only took a minimum of 40-45 hours! I'll be grinding through this skill over the next week, and I hope to get to 99 by Friday and/or Saturday! And yes of course, I'm having a party to celebrate it, like every noob would, and like I've done with every 99 that I've gotten!   I'll post a

Bank pic and Stats/Total Xp for Feb 25th, 2012

Inspired by Darkwitchery, I decided to take up hoarding (it's one step below Diy). So here's an entry for a little over 24h into it. Will update monthly, or maybe longer than that. Mostly using it as a way to increase my bank's dirty-looking awesomeness. And yes, I have a boss way of organizing, don't I? :P   Here is my stats/Xp/Combat pic. Yep, about 4/5 of my total exp is entirely combat  ... Current goals: -120 Strength in XP -120 Dungeoneering -2100 Total level -All

Oh Parents, Part VIII

It's been a crazy two months ish, and of course there were many derps along the way. Unfortunately it was hard to remember them all. :P Doesn't mean I don't have anything to share though!   So I was taking a shower when I heard my dad calling for me outside at the door. I turned off the water, asking him what's up...   Dad: Hey, don't you need to go downtown later to pick up those lab results? Me: Yea. Dad: <Says something I can't hear> Me: What? I can't hear you. I'll talk to you when I'm

5th time at Jad in the last 2 days.

This is one of the new safespots for Fight caves in use. It protects against all but the spawn that appears next to you, quite safe.       However, it didn't really help me beat Jad. I still died :(. Gonna try once more then forget it until I have dreadnips, I think. And use range..
