My problem is totally internal but I don't want to continue being weird (or at least I think I am?) - my brain had categorized her as straight and is having a hard time ignoring/changing my arbitrary label. I think it's mostly because I am not at a point where I have acceptably boxed myself in and so having other people being totally cool with their sexuality is weirding me out. Which makes no sense but there you go. I overthink everything and like having everything labelled nicely and logically.
Mostly I just need it to play nicely on Windows and with Norton, have some sort of AdBlockPlus type feature, and be able to remember passwords and sessions easily (ie the next time I open it open those tabs again. Probably Firefox can do this so please tell me how?) If it works with most/all or solves the problem that I have the plug in for that would be great.
Just got back to school from Thanksgiving break, 3D printer is working again, bed wasn't sticky enough so I had to scrap an hour's worth of printing... But it works so that's good (last week it was falling apart whenever I tried to do something). Also took apart my laptop and blew out three years' worth of dust, much better now.
/weirdness for today
The current in a 1.50mm × 1.50mm square aluminum wire is 1.00A . What are (a) the current density and (b) the electron drift speed?
So current density is J=I/A so J=1/(1.5x10-3)2 = 444,444 A/m2 . (Had me put it in MA for whatever inane reason, so 0.444 MA/m2)
Electron drift speed vd = J/ne = 444444/(2.1x1029 * 1.6x10-19) = 1.32 x 10-5 m/s
It wants it in micrometers per second, so that x106 = 13.23.
BUT THAT'S NOT THE ANSWER. (According to MasteringPhysics which is garbage.) What am I screwing up here?
Maybe it depends on where you are. My Firebird did fine last Winter, but I know Michigan doesn't have the worst snow. The Aveo5 I was driving before that has never had an issue either.
Ha. What part of Michigan? I can vouch that you'd never get through a winter in the UP with a RWD or even some 2WD unless they're tiny and you can just dig them out/pick them up. There's a reason every other car up here is a Subaru.
Oh also - listening to Wings/Bruins game, pretty good, looking forward to the rest of the season.
Trying to edit an STL file with four different programs and I have achieved nothing. Partially because I don't know Inventor. (NX doesn't open STLs, OpenSCAD renders it wrong, and MeshLab crashes... Blender makes it annoying triangles as per usual.)
Got up late, worked a bit on my 3D printer, discovered the magic that is JB Weld, had some beer brats that were really good, burned a mattress, came back to my dorm and considering going to bed now or frustrating myself with more 3D printer building; square headed screws, presumably on the grounds that they're harder to strip, make up nearly all of the plastic to wood connections and I hate it.
Off times at uni though, and the wifi has been being dumb lately, so not as good as usual.
Damn, Duff, that's worse than mine at home and mine at home is garbage.
Anyway wasting time before lunch and my second class of the day, installing CrunchBang as dual boot later for my open source 3D printing class; get to build and keep a RepRap so pretty psyched about that.
Transitions are the best thing in my opinion. I love mine and honestly forget that they change most of the time until I take them off.
I do love mine, just they don't really work in the car, which is my issue. 10 hour drive to and from school, no fun.
Never really liked them/don't work well with the frames I usually have, also kind of just wanted bigger frames/lenses for said sunglasses thing. For some reason, I feel like being able to own prescription sunglasses and not lose/break them is some indicator of being an 'adult' and it's one I currently want unlike other recent developments such as nice interview clothes things/heteronormative things that do not make me happy.
less than stellar quality but you get it.
Spent $200 on rx sunglasses from the internet today. Somewhat apprehensive about this but I haven't had wearable rx sunglasses in about five years so I felt it was justified, especially at $200 for a pair of Ray-Bans with polarized rx lenses (and my script is not particularly light). According to the website it's 3-5 [business] days, it says I should have them by this coming Thursday, so pretty excited about that.
Otherwise just a lot of stuff happening in a short period of time and I'm not too thrilled about it. Also the d key on my keyboard is being a little wonky. Off to play some games and then probably sleep, a lot of sleeping has been happening this week because of my empty schedule, it starts filling up tomorrow.
Nope, not really a lot of interest to do so either (no romantic relationships of any kind here), although there definitely exists the want in certain situations (basically demi to a T) but those situations pretty much tend to be in relation to girls which is fine (ie homoromantic), just less than the easiest thing to deal with here in conservative land.
