  1. I use Weapon poison at Kalphite Queen, Corporeal, DKS, Fight Kiln and Edimmu.

    Exceptionally useful wherever possible.

I use ++ variant since I've usually more need for inventory rather than a few more GP, I tried using the regular variety but the 2 mins timer p'd me off. No regrets.

  2. The sad thing is with Champs Challenege it doesn't sound as if they are making the one change really necessary for it to become actively used - the rarity of scrolls.

They said they wouldn't improve the drop rate cause they're scared trimmed Compers will have a [bleep]fit if they do.

  3. Also, upcoming D&D changes:

Work is well underway on a few tweaks here and there to improve some of our less used distractions and diversions and to bring some life back into some underplayed content!
We have taken suggestions far and wide and cast our beady eyes on some stats on how and what D&Ds you play. Using this information we've come up with some changes coming to a few D&Ds near you!

    Universal changes

    `The Distracted` title

For players that have tried every D&D currently on the D&D tracker, a new title will be unlocked, "The distracted".
The purpose of this is to get you to try every D&D at least once, or re-evaluate it after we've finished improving it.

    D&D specific changes

Here is a provisional list of changes we'd like to make to some of our less loved D&Ds.

    Champions' Challenge

    - Make all fights repeatable once a week for slayer/constitution XP (including the leprechaun).
    - Getting a challenge scroll will unlock that fight in your weekly reset.
    - Improve the reward XP such that if you have unlocked all champions you stand to gain around 60k slayer xp a week.
    - Add the reset to the D&D tracker.
    - Convert the deposit box into a bank chest.
    - Allow you to feed scrolls to a baby troll.

    Skeletal Horror

    - Improve the XP reward to be 100* (slayer level +1) XP.
    - Move the reset to the global weekly reset.
    - Add a 100% chance for the skeletal horror to drop an elite clue scroll.
    - Add a chance for a skeletal champion scroll.
    - Add this to the D&D tracker.

    Familiarisation

    - Make Familiarisation start a fixed time in its 2 hour window.
    - Convert the reward buff into a ticket usable after the D&D. note: you'll need to use up this ticket before you can perform this D&D again.

    Court Cases

    - Change the mystery box reward contents to contain a decent amount of useful skilling rewards.
    - Always offer a mystery box as a reward.
    - Change the reward XP to be a generic combat lamp (that includes summoning and prayer).
    - Remove the tutorial requirement on getting a court case scroll drop.
    - Add a title for those that have completed all cases - The Detective

    Phoenix Lair

    - Add a passive firemaking level boost to the phoenix familiar.
    - Add a high level version of the phoenix familiar, requires 2 feathers to make, this will offer a better firemaking level boost and have a chance to burn an extra log for you when using bonfires.
    - Improve usage of the phoenix familiar's special attack.
    - Add the phoenix lair to the D&D tracker.
    - Stop the reborn from blocking walk.
    - Allow surge/escape/barge inside the lair
    - Pay 10 feathers to skip to the boss fight

    Goblin Flash Mobs

    - Make available to free to play.
    - Rescale the rewards for mid-tier leveled players.

    Fish Flingers

    - move the fisherman from outside of barbarian assault to just south of the barbarian fishing area.
    - Add the following rewards to the reward shop:
    - > Tackle box reset
    - > Fish flingers tickets
    - > Chance of fishing 2 fish for 20 minutes.

    Bork

    - Move the bork reward buffs from varrock armour 4 to varrock armour 3.
    - Add a daily right click teleport to bork onto varrock armour 4.
    - Add bork to the D&D tracker

    Evil Tree

    - Turn the evil tree to a bonfire after the event, kindling can be burnt on this with XP rates equal to yew logs.
    - Chopping an evil tree will reward more XP (at least tree type XP/2)
    - If there are 4 roots up, the first root will chop down faster and take longer to respawn.
    - Post event rewards will now be scaled based on your current farming/woodcutting level.
    - Spirit trees will be more specific when telling you when and where the next evil tree will appear> (think shooting stars).
    - The auto banking woodcutting buff will work with all trees that work with signs of the porter.
    - Allow auto log banking to work without having to have a full inventory.

  4. Hmmmm, BTS was too cryptic, can't tell if WE3 is this month or next. The astronomy hints are clearly for WE3 though.

It will be released this month.

The video has a teaser at the end, and the article has a teaser including the Wizard Miznog  (or whatever his name was) that will be featured in Tuska event.

Prepare your bungholes everyone, it's all vs. Tuska soon.

  5. Actually, it turns out the Spring Cleaner upgrade is actually a nerf.

The failure rate been massively increased (from around 10% to a reported 43% on SC9001), granted, if it fails you can still pick up the item but not having to do so was a major part of SC's appeal.

It will also individually break down each and every ammo and use a spring doing so, ie: if you set your SC to break down rune items and get the 100 rune arrow drop at KQ, you will have used up 100 springs for roughly 7 runite ore and 7 logs. Ammo is also grouped with weapons so you either never break down rune battle-axes, rune spears, or break down both and lose tons of springs on arrows and bolts.

Also, legendary pets are now the best thing to use at Araxxor. Don't get hit by cleaves, can hold items and even have a Ring of Life effect every hour. Pretty damn good.

  6. Pros for each:

    Ascension crossbows:

    • Needle strike >Dazing shot, resulting in about ~2-3% more DPS

    • Cheaper repair cost (base 2*2M vs 4.5M)

    • Counts as an all-protect in GWD (akin to Zaryte equipment)

    Noxious Bow:

    • Longer effective range (I think it's 2-3 tiles)

    • Cheaper ammo (Ascension bolts float around 400gp while araxyte arrows are around 180)

    • One item vs two (ie: takes up only one slot on protected on death, allows you to one-item in wildy relatively safely)

    • Stronger (which means nothing if you're using Momentum/Legacy, but if you sneak in auto-attacks during Revolution/Manual it gives you ~1-2% more DPS)

  7. It's done:

  8. I'm using a Maritime shipwright.

The seafaring values I'm getting from the site vary wildly with the value I'm getting from the game. A few examples:

    Site:

    M:5255

    C:15201

    S:15146

    Reality:

    M:5255

    C:15201

    S:15881

    With a +1% seafaring captain:

    Site:

    M: 4697

    C: 2247

    S: 25906

    Reality:

    M: 4697

    C: 2247

    S: 27151

Just for the record, the game says Maritime is a 5% to MCS and an additional 3% (so 8% total) to Seafaring.

It's been a bug for a couple of weeks now.

  9. I wonder how taking along people with only a few kills to come kill bosses is going to work out. Unfortunately I can kind of see it devolving into the "elite" players bossing around the noobs and telling them just not to die until they get their rewards and they've "used" them for ten kills, rather than actually teaching them. We'll see  .

    Of course.

Most ROTS FC's don't consider you taught until you've at least done 50 kills.

  10. Good fight for all those learning teams/parties at Kalphite King, Rise of the Six and Vorago.

Who the hell would take newbs to these bosses if it costs them 1-3M every death? And don't give me that genius idea of Mod Chris L of giving players a title if they help newbs get up to 10 kills, since 10 kills won't get you in any noteworthy KK/ROTS/Rago FC's.

  11. Can anyone help me out here?
My Map Table tells me to focus on Ai Jei (the Skull) but I rolled the Tengu with a clue voyage and he only offers me destinations in the Loop: Dhar Pei's Vantage, Light Under Sea, Straits of the Oyster Pearl, The Reef that Lies to Mapmakers.
So what? is this a guaranteed fail? A bug? A beneficial bug where I can jump ahead?

EDIT: Nevermind, just after this my map table suddenly offered me two focus points (one to Dhar Pei's Vantage). How odd.

  12. How long should it take to get, and how should I go about it? I know you can buy wave tickets, but I'm not sure how those work in regards to the rewards.

I still need to get level 5 Collector - once again, how should I do so? What mode, should I skip waves, etc

If you already got level 5 Collector, 0-500 points should take you no longer than wave 1-7 Hard mode. If not that, definitely in one go wave 1-10. The hard part is getting the 5 King kills.

As for the Collector's Insignia itself:

It does work if you get the drop at a boss you just fought with a group, as long as you aren't using Lootshare, right?

If you are the one getting the drops and you didn't enable either LS or CS, yes, but the only group boss (using Soul Reaper's definition of group boss here) whose drops are affected by RoW (and by extension, the insignia) are Nex and Kalphite King. Other bosses include TDs, Glacors, Automatons, KQ, all GWD bosses, Barrows brothers, DKS and CB.

Araxxor, Vorago, RotS, QBD, Mole (lol) and Legiones are unaffected.

It doesn't work (stack) with the ring of wealth, does it?

    No.

    Drops affected by RoW:

    Only rare drops effected

Skeletal Horror - Increased chance at obtaining a Crystal Triskelion piece
