  1. Useful information for those who have maxed or have 4 skills + any combat skills left to  max.

You are currently able to complete a daily challenge, turn the challenge in and then reroll/extend the same challenge. Obviously you'll need to less than 5 or less skills left to max (all combat skills are considered as one challenge) so you know that when rerolling you know for a fact you going to get the skill you've just completed. I've just got around 900k Dungeoneering experience this way and I can get way more if I choose to buy more Vis wax. I can see this getting nerfed very soon.

Forgot that you only get one per challenge day. Only seemed good at first because I had 4 challenges outstanding in skills I didn't want to do... so once those were rerolled you ended up having nothing left.

  2. Abby demons are weak to slash anyway. Not quite sure where you came up with weak to Magic.

Very true. Was just following a strategy guide in which magic (3x3 spells) is used and seems to be very fast method for killing them so just asummed it to be a weakness, or a least an effective slaying method.

  3. I'm currently slaying Abyssal Demons and using Tetsu because I want the highest lifepoint bonus. Their weakness is magic... if I was to switch melee weapony to mage, are there any 'hidden' penalties that would impact my damage output? I say hidden because I don't see this on the loadout interface. I don't have access to full Seasinger yet, but I want the highest defence possible but with the highest damage output.

EDIT: A better example of what I'm trying to get at:

At the moment I'm trying to get my attack and strength level up so this is the attack style I'm going to be using wherever possible when slaying. So let's say the monster attacks with magic, I would want to use range tank armour to provide the best defence bonus but attack with melee for the best damage bonus (disregarding the monster's weaknesses).

EDIT 2: Did some research on wikia and my question has been answered! Feel free to add useful information and advice if you will. Also the reason why I couldn't see reductions with my damage accurary on the loadout interface is because I was using the same class armour for the same class weapon (accidental!)

    Thanks in advance!

  4. This is regarding the 4 hour buy limit of items...

Before, I could buy an item that had a buy limit of 10k/4 hours and sell those items straight back and that would reset the 4 hour limit. However, doesn't seem to be the case right now. Has there been any recent changes for this mechanism?

    Thanks in advance!

  5.

In regards to claiming last year's bonus xp, I have the Hati paws and Skoll boots retrieved from Diango and there is no option to gain the outstanding xp. I definately did not use all the exp last year...

you need to redo the event this year

Meaning I'll be given the option to claim 2013 and this year's xp?

No you should of claimed the 2013 xp before the event started

No, it just says use the xp before you start the 2014 event. I must of used it already somehow because the gain-xp option is not there, but I only used 10% of my boots from 2013.

  6. I won this item from SoF quite a few weeks ago now and didn't realize the bonus experience is stackable. I believe this is the only Slayer mask worth using? Aside from that, what is the most efficient way of maximizing the experience from the Abyss mask (using the daily guaranteed task). My plan is to use Prized pendent of Slaying as well as using the Slayer Contracts. Is there anything else that could help increase the experience?

Also I have these questions to add:

    - Does the bonus experience from the mask remain forever?

-Does the bonus experience apply to Abyss Slayer contracts?

Any of pointers and advice are welcomed.

    Thank you in advance!

  7. If you have all the ship parts and crew for your region there is little more you can do.

Keep in mind new crew for the region will generally start out weaker then existing crew BUT they will far surpass them within a few levels.

This did cross my mind a few times. I think I'll start recruiting crew from the highest region. Thanks!

  8. I've unlocked all the ship upgrades, thus; using the best upgrades possible. The crew rooster isn't providing crew that have higher stats than the ones I've got recruited. I can't think of any other way of increasing my success percentage on voyages. I average around 60-80 percent success.

Any ideas on other ways of increasing the success average?

    Thanks in advance!

  9. How does the reset work for Varrock Statue/Strange rocks? I know you're entitled to build one per week, but how does this work? Does it reset weekly like penguins and the circus with a set time, or does it work like Tears of Guthix where its a week from the last time you did the activity?

    Thanks in advance!

    [/hide]3 days til warband nerf.

    Is a nerf confirmed then?

Can someone please change Aussie's name to Mr(s) Sarcastic?

Its been in speculation all this week in the Warband PK friends chat channels which made me wonder if I had missed an actual confirmation of a nerf alongside next week's update. Sorry if I've triggered any aggravation for not caughing on to the sarcasm...

  11. I've noticed that some PoP (Player-owned Ports) upgrades such as the Lodging and Shipwright buildings have upgrades that cost the same resources but has differen't effects. If I switched between these upgrades, would it mean I would need to keep re-buying them if I've already purchased the upgrade previously?

    Thanks in advance!

  12. The Nexus (members only)

There's something big, dark, and slimy emerging from the murky depths of Lumbridge Swamp. The nature of this strange entity is unknown, but what it does mean is an awesomely social Prayer-training method aimed at low-level players!

    Ysondria-01135913.png

Members will be able to head over to Lumbridge Swamp and help the druid Ysondria channel elemental forces with the sheer force of faith, stemming the tide of the corruption and earning plenty of Prayer XP in the process. There's also a chance that the horror will show its ugly face, and you'll be able to earn more XP sending it back where it belongs.

There'll be a finite amount of Prayer XP that you can gain from this training method, but it'll be enough to get a new player from 1-40 and over that first levelling hurdle with the minimum of chicken bone burial. For everyone else, it'll be a fun way to pick up a nice chunk of Prayer XP in a really cool-looking area while chatting with your friends.

God Emissaries (free players and members)

We've also got a fantastic update for lore fiends among you this month, where you'll learn more about your favourite RuneScape gods and earn some awesome rewards for pledging your allegiance.

    God_Emissaries-01135947.png

Following the events of The World Wakes, the RuneScape gods are coming back with a vengeance. Eight new NPCs known as theGod Emissaries will be making their voices heard, and they'll be looking for you to join their cause. Each emissary will be speaking in favour of a god, and will give you a full account what their god represents, what the god in question has been up to since the establishment of the edicts, and what you can do to show your support.

You'll be able to join any of the eight factions they represent: if you favour serenity, freedom and a strong, noble outlook, perhaps you'll pick Armadyl. Do you thrive in chaos, continually reforging yourself in the fires of calamity, each time stronger than before? Zamorak's your guy. If you think Guthix was right, and that the gods should mind their own business, then the new Godless faction might be for you!

Whether you're a free player or a RuneScape member, you can align yourself with the faction of their choice, earning a title and a wieldable standard to display your choice. Members can also complete combat, skilling and exploration objectives for their chosen emissary, earning XP, improvements to the battle standard such as combat and skilling buffs, and a new helmet with level 60 hybrid combat stats.

    Farmed and Dangerous (members only)

High-level farmers among you will get your green fingers on 10 new plants this month. Their level requirements will range from level 76 to 96, and they'll make use of less-used plots like hops, flowers and allotments, so they'll be a great help on the way to 99.

They come with a bunch of other great benefits to boot, including opportunities to get XP in other skills once they're grown. Steal the fruit from the jaws of a Venus fly trap, for example, and you'll be able to eat it for a chunk of Thieving XP (just mind your hands!) or pull up sunchoke tubers for some outdoor Strength training. You'll also be able to use your Construction skill to build grape vines, and then grow grapes and make god-themed wines, which can be used to enhance god brew potions.

With all this - and more - coming to the Farming skill, it's going to be a blooming good spring! Farmed_and_Dangerous-01135841.png

Bonus XP Tidy Up (free players and members)

As an extra on one of the above update weeks, we'll be performing some maintenance on the Bonus XP system. There are loads of different items in RuneScape that can boost your XP gain from skilling or combat training, and it's high time we brought them all together under the same roof.

From this update, the bonus XP you're entitled to will be given under the same system as the Recruit a Friend scheme. Most of the changes here are going on under the hood, and are meant to help us in future development, but one big thing you'll notice is that many of these items will no longer need to be worn to access the bonus XP linked to them - so you'll be able to wear an amulet that gives you a combat bonus rather than your usual XP amulet, for example.

Solomon's Store/Squeal of Fortune (free players and members)

We've got some cool stuff coming to Solomon's Store and on the Squeal of Fortune, with dragon keepsake keys for weapons and a bunch of amazing new PvP death animations coming up, as well as the superbly spicy Fiesta de Guerreros. For those of you looking to treat yourself to some new cosmetics, the future's bright and sunny.

    RuneScape Beta Programme

The RuneScape Beta Programme got off to a grand start last month, with loads of you logging in to try the HTML5 client beta and the alpha version of the New Interface System, and sending us tonnes of amazing feedback. We're working hard on fixing the first round of bugs and performance issues, but we'll be shifting the programme up a gear later this month, expanding our group of selected testers and - after that - open up both the HTML5 client and NIS to all RuneScape members for testing.

Keep the feedback coming - it's your thoughts, requests and observations which will make RuneScape 3 the game you want it to be. If you haven't been able to try the new features yet, don't worry. You'll get your chance soon, so keep your eyes on the news!

That's it for May. Enjoy the springtime sun, let us know what you think about the above and - most importantly - have fun!

  13. It's now possible to store items with BoBs without having to entirely exit the bank Interface

    2jfo1l.jpg'

Also, new graphical element added to show who attacking you/who you're attacking during PvM (not sure if it's the same during PvP):

EDIT: The Momentum ability that's just randomly out of place is a bug I believe. It's not interactive and doesn't response to mouse-clicks. It appears for a short time once the client has loaded then dissappears. However, that would be pretty cool if this was a feature.

  14. Side Effects - 9/10 - completely different to what I expected! One of those films you might consider watching twice as the second time you watch it you will be looking at everything from a new viewpoint!

Contagion - 6/10 - got extremely bored towards the end!

Oblivion - 5/10 - just did not enjoy it all the way through. Very slow! Visuals were good though!

Identity Thief - 7/10 - as expected... some hilarious parts!

Stoker - 9/10 - I loved all the film making methods used in this film. Imaginative use of camera angles and visual aesthetics. The plot itself is slightly confusing, but nonetheless interesting.

Dark Skies - 8/10 - wasn't what I was expecting and was completely engaged throughout the whole film!

Scary Movie 5 - 5/10 - Not the same without Cindy and Brenda! However, it was still funny and much better than expected.

Antiviral and Branded - switched off half way through.

  15. Perhaps the reasoning of the NDA is that the difference between this beta and the EoC beta is that users will be playing the same live game but in an advanced version. I feel that they have kept this beta very secretive in comparison to the Evolution of Combat hype. They've barely released any gameplay footage other than seconds of moving image and a few screenshots. With an update that enhances the visual aspects of the game you would expect them to showcase more up to the release. Maybe there is more to it and something they are not telling us!

Also didn't they state that the new Interface will not be tested today but on the 25th?

  16. I've been wondering if this D&D will a long term affect on the prices of training resources for skills that are involved (planks for Construction, herbs and second ingredients for Herblore, bars for Smithing and seeds for Farming). Potentially over 300k experience a day without touching the skill is a substantial amount of experience to be rewarded to players without the need of spending a single coin on resources!

  17. I need to not defeat the beast but I need to survive to the 4th phase so I can forge my Royal Crossbow together.

I'm finding it extremely difficult to be able inflict damage onto her at my level using ranged. I was using a Crystal Bow with Royal D'hide, Amulet of Fury and Berzerker ring, as well as extreme ranging potions.

    My combat levels are:

    82 attack, 83 strength, 82 defence, 84 hp, 85 ranged, 85 prayer, 99 magic and 99 summoning. 95 herblore too.

I do not intend to buy any chaotic weapons other than a maul (i have 350k tokens).

I may considering buying expensive weapon to use as a one of then resell afterwards - unless someone is willing to lend their weapon!

I prefer to use magic or range!

    Thanks in advance!
