I'm a fan of ragecomics/meme faces but 9gag WAY over does it. That and it steals from reddit. And I don't like that. I used to patrol /r/47U12 like it was my job, but I guess I've grown a bit tired of them myself lately. I hadn't even noticed until now.
Today I drank with some friends and watched a bunch of movies. Fairly chill.
My father and I just put a grill together. Are old on (really old one!) had a hole in the bottom of it so ash would come out of it so we bought a new one today. As soon as it was built, we lit the charcoal and now are waiting on the burgers and hot-dogs to be served.
Hamburgers, hot-dogs, ice cold beer, and enjoying it all with my father.
`Merica.
Charcoal cooking is amazing. I especially like charcoal cooked desserts.

This summer has been hell on me recently.
I'm finally learning to drive and have my test for license on the 16th of August. Having my dad teach me is hell because he's extremely critical and a bad teacher, I've broken down a few times already. That's stressing me out, combined with the fact that as I'm trying to get school stuff sorted out, my mother got denied for a parent plus loan so now I have to try and get other loans. About $9000 in other loans. Have to do it by August 15th so we're getting that sorted out, just too much shit going on.
I just really want these next 4 weeks done so I can be back up in San Francisco going to school.

Sigur Ros is my favorite, to the point where I'm collecting everything I can by the band. Some of their records or special edition sets can get pretty pricey, but it's a fun hobby to have.
At a close second is Tom Waits, I love everything the man has put out. If you haven't heard him yet, I guarantee he has something for you. His early work when he was on the Asylum label was some really mellow piano-driven blues ballads, sort of like if Sinatra drank and smoked 10 times as much. His later stuff is gravelly-voiced mayhem, really cool experimental rock.

Not sure how contacts work really like if you need 2 in, but they can do glasses with a prescription in 1 lens.

[hide]Overall, I really liked the ending as a whole, but honestly it felt like the end of the series as a whole, and I don't see how they can continue it now, even though they're renewed for another season.Korra and Mako…..no. [bleep] that. Too much emphasis on love and stuff in the series. I feel like they didn't actually take time to develop relationships between characters like they did in TLA. It's just like WHAM BAM I LOVE YOU, whereas I really liked Aang and Katara cause you could see their relationship develop.
I really liked the whole Tarrlock thing, except again, too fast. They find out about it and take Amon down in the same episode.
I mean, I'm satisfied with how the plot went, but it shouldn't have been so fast, unless they have some good plans for a second season.[/hide]

Seriously debating dropping 180 for these when they come out, just so I can look super American on July 4th. These, red shorts, and a button-down with stars all over it.
Plus I like them so I'd wear them a lot afterwards, and don't have any shoes of the style.

That actually does help put things in perspective. I pretty much have to bite my tongue until I learn to deal with it. I realize I'm being irrational, it's just setting aside my fears isn't so easy. But I do want this to last, so I'll work on it.

I just don't know how to overcome this trust problem. I mean every time she wants to go out, she always tells me first and tells me exactly what she's doing, yet I still worry and fret over it.

I think what you need to do is to tell her about what had happened previously and about how you feel. I know that past relationships is a topic that you generally want to avoid, but I feel that this is something that really needs to be addressed.
She knows about it entirely, we both know about each other's past relationships.
She understands why I feel the way I feel, but I can tell my constant worrying annoys her. And it's not like I can just restrict her to not going out and hanging out with friends because I don't want her to, that's a pretty sure way to get dumped.

Before I start: backstory.
Back in my Junior year of high school, I dated this girl for 8 months. She was my first serious relationship, and actually my first everything. Near the end, she started hanging out with my friend Cody a lot, and I thought nothing of it because he was one of my best friends. Then she started hanging out with him more than me ("because he lives closer") and texting him more than me, and I found out through another friend that she was cheating on me with him. I had a lot of trust issues after that.
Now today, I'm currently 7 months in to my relationship with my current girlfriend, my first since then (took about a year and a half for me to get another girlfriend). I have a lot of trust issues that I don't know how to get over. When a new guy friend was introduced into our friend group and they started clicking really well because they both loved k-pop, I got really worried that she was going to break up with me for him. It didn't help that she's asian and he's obsessed with asian girls. Since then, after talking to her about it, I've gotten over it.
But I feel like every time she brings up a guy, I get really scared. She was hanging out with her friends at home, which were 3 girls and one guy named Travis, and I still freaked out. Now most recently and why I'm posting this, she wants to go get lunch with her friend Ryan tomorrow. Ryan is her ex, but they only dated for like 2 weeks in middle school. I mean they never even kissed each other. But yet I'm freaking out about it because they both liked each other at one point. What if something happens? I trust her fully, but I don't trust any other guys, because if my best friend could backstab me, why can't a guy I don't even know?
I feel like sometimes she might break up with me because I get worried so much. I don't know how she can deal with it, and I don't really know how to get over my trust issues.

Get an on-campus job ASAP and join as many on-campus groups as possible-- preferably a fraternity. Don't join any of the frats that haze.
I would recommend against a fraternity. At least at my school, everyone in them are generic douchey bros who are just annoying. Also, I kind of just see them as paying for friends. Don't see the point.

So many of you are saying to wait to buy textbooks... does/could it ever happen that your professor starts actually using the textbook in class before you have time to order yours and get it shipped? Do professors just not use textbooks for the first two weeks?
What do you all think about printers? I have a printer in my dorm run by the on-campus printing business, but many of the students I've spoke to said it's best to have your own.
Get a printer, you never know when the ones on campus will break and it's stressful when it happens. You can get printers for pretty cheap these days.

Be as friendly as you possibly can to make friends. It sucks to be 3 weeks into school still eating alone.
I assume you're staying at school? Even if the school allows you to check out things, bring them. Like, my college allows students to check out vacuums if they need them, but they're old, don't work well, and are prone to exploding dust. Just get your own.
Don't forget a plunger, I learned that one after my roommate disappeared and took all his stuff (including that) and then the next day I proceeded to clog the toilet for the first time in my life.
Don't let yourself gain the "Freshman 15". I gained 20 pounds last year, went from 135 to 155, and I feel terrible because if I had just gone and exercised a little bit each day, I would have been fine. SO join the school gym if they have one, and GO.

Well, I wouldn't say it's entirely bad that TIF is slowing down. If you go back a lot of pages in OT and look at all the topics that got posted, a lot of them were just flat-out bad. Page 100 (from 2008) yields topics such as "Emos and your opinions on them.. :o," "Why do blacks get special treatment?" and "Do you sleep in your "birthday suit"?" As much as activity is dwindling, there's a lot less stupid shit.

Although I'm honestly of the belief that a massive idiot or troll can really revitalize a community.
I mean, look at the responses to yesterday's questions about revenge on a store clerk.
Sometimes a troll/idiot can spur a community to activity out of sheer irritation.
We just need someone like that indian dude troll or paperclips here, and then people would respond more.
