  1. I have a rapier, and I guess I'll go steal bots' kills in the chaos tunnels then for green drags, and yeah no turm thats why I'm trying to get the cash

  2. Thanks for all the advice guys, I'm out of ideas for merchanting  tried for an hour and a half this morning and like 2 hours yesterday but couldn't find anything so I guess it's just dragons for me. Does anyone know a better way to make money that isn't merchanting or dragons?

  3. I don't see where I asked for an item, if you guys think I'm asking for items you're meching now I'm not. My last post was asking if the graph had anything to do with what a "solid" item is.

I'm also still wondering what else I can do for money, only thing so far is greens/frosts.

  4. If I remember correctly, Snapdragons are best money maker at your level of farming with and without Juju potions. A less cash intensive option would be Toadflax as bots can't get it from the Garden and it has a relatively "high" demand as it goes into Saradomin brews. I switched from Snaps to Toadflax myself so I had more cash to merch with instead of a big pile of seeds 'cause I'm super lazy.

As for merching, .5% profit is a bit low, true enough, but if it's something you can flip very fast that's not bad. I flipped with about a 50m cash stack while charm hunting or Mithril Dragon slaying and most of my profits were about 2%. It didn't take long to get what I needed for Turmoil. Best advice I can give is don't give up and keep looking for items, specifically niche items (that's what I did, and no I'm not telling you which ones! ) rather than bulk goods that have a massive supply and are traded constantly. Not to say you can't profit off that stuff, but it's tiny usually.

I think the usual stuff like Green Dragons are still 1mil+ an hour and Frosts a bit more, even with the bot infestation. I've never actually done these, before or after bots, so I'll let someone who knows better take over.

Ok toadflax it is. I guess I'll look into more items, I've mostly been doing mainstream things like whips and stuff. What is better, taking up your mechanting cash with thousands of items, or like 10 expensive ones?

  5. Can anyone suggest a way for me to make some cash? I'm trying to merch and have made around 2.5 million in 3 days. I'm pretty sure I could do better than that with the 41m I have to use. I've been doing the buy max/sell min to determine price thing which has helped a lot, but most items have a very small profit (~0.5%).

So any merchanting tips would be great, and other things I can do for money. Also what herbs should I plant? I seem to remember doing avantoes before I stopped playing but can't remember :P.

Edit: Anyone know where I can find a list of items in the 1-3m range? ge toplist is only 5m+

Edit again: Just made 200k somehow doing the buy high/sell low test lol something tells me not to try and flip those

  6. Can you point out the better points of the tiger direct one? The only difference I can see is the HD size, but that doesn't matter theyre both big enough. And screen size, the tiger direct is 17" which now that I think about it is almost too big, and the best buy is 15"

  7. By games you mean "real games" and not rs/flash games right? I don't own/intend on owning any serious computer games so that's fine. Does the ASUS in the first best buy link look good to anyone? A few stores around me have them in stock so I'll go check them out sometime.

  8. Well I'm mainly looking for a laptop to run WindRiver's work bench and VxWorks. According to their site it seems any new laptop will do. So please suggest one for me. I have a budget of around 700 USD, I think I want an Intel i3 or better or equivalent AMD processor, 4 gigs o RAM, hard drive just needs to be 250 gigs, I don't have taht much stuff. I'd like to be able to use CDs/DVDs, don't necessarily need to burn them, long battery life is obviously nice too. Suggest away, here are some I've looked at.

Ok, I went to best buy today, and am about to go to another location. I tried out both of the above laptops and both seem nice. From what I've googled the first has a 2.4ghz processor, and the second a 2.5ghz. Is there a difference between the i3 and i5 besides ghz? Right now I'm using a 2.4ghz processor, would I notice a big difference jumping to the 2.53ghz? I'll check back in a while when I get home again.

Edit: Bought the second one, I liked the bigger battery and that the i5 can get up to 2.8ghz. Thanks for you help guys.

  9. i alway alch my blue charms because at 82 summon i can't utilise ble charms and i find that the worldbearers are the best familiars for me, so i tend to alch all my blue charms that i get.

But if you do large dungeons with 130+ teams what are the odds that most of them will only have 82 summoning? And there are worldbearers that are made with blue charms

I've been soloing, hence the relatively low dungeoneering level. There are worldbearers with blue charms but they require lvl 90+ summoning...

  11. People seem to be getting more coin drops now, though. Last dungeon I was in someone got 114k within a few rooms on a small and my other friend got 50k. Blue charms also alch for 11k now and tyrannoleather bags alch for 3k. Not sure of the previous alch prices. If coin drops have increased, only other problem now is people hogging them. D:

Blue Charms: Maybe useful as a source of cash. Most people use them to summon things.

Tyrannoleather: No way is that useful, I see MAYBE one a dungeon.

People hogging cash isn't an issue I run into often, so if the cash drops are increased as much as you say maybe this is ok.

  12. Is it true you can't alch Sagittarien arrows any more?

    True :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

I have no idea how they expect us to be able to buy anything. Monsters really don't drop that much cash.

  13. build bridges over bottomless pits,
    build bridges over bottomless pits,
    bridges

What do bridges go over? Water. What goes in the water? Boats. What do the boats have on them? Sails.

    SAILING!!!!!!!!!

But the new floors sound like fun except for the talking boss. I hope you don't need sound on to avoid his attacks :(

  14. Thanks a ton guys.

Edit: Wow you need to be a full member of SODB for that forum. As in I can't see it even after registering. :( Mind CPing it here?

NVM found it. I'll look for loosing game's guide as well.

  15. Does anyone know a good, updated DK guide? I've searched around but all the ones i can find are from around two years ago and haven't been updated. Mainly looking for a Rex guide but it would be nice to have one for all of the kings.

Also: What is the cc for rock lob partners to open doors? I know its something to do with rock lobster or some such name.

  16. Yeah yesterday at Bandos I was doing the log out trick. It works but you have to be fast, after the second 100 hit you see you cant log out. The video I watched yesterday also talked about the house option trick and the 6 whip hit counter. Heres the link if you want to watch it.

  17. OK thanks guys :) Tried out the overloads at bandos and got 28kc. No drops though. I got about 2/3 of the way through a last graar but i had to tele, I ended up in my house with one lp XD.

Practice timing your brews so that right after you eat them the overload immediately restores your stats.

Also, have a system for counting 5 minutes for each ovl dose. it's really annoying to run out of a ovl in the middle of a kill.

Yeah I ran out a few times in the middle of a kill. One time I tried repoting in the middle of a kill, which is a VERY VERY bad idea. And yeah I found a vid on youtube that explained the timing pretty well. Thanks everyone
