The staff had nothing to do with the website getting hacked. Also, this is the "Off-Topic" section of the forums. Aka, Runescape related material is not really meant to be posted here. If you have a beef with the Admins, I suggest you take it up with them instead of posting on the section of the forums that has nothing to do with Runescape.

I beg to differ, and like I said... The Mods have NOTHING to do with this, and I doubt that the ADMINS decided to start handing out our E-mail addresses to scammers and hackers like free candy.
You obviously knew what I meant.

Calm down, they got an email address not your bank account information. How about just not replying to the emails? I get them too, but I just delete them and go about my day.
Still, I should not have to even be in that situation where I don't know if an email is legitimate or not. Prior to this incident I would NEVER get spam.

Secondly, as you stated earlier - this stretches beyond Runescape, i'm pretty sure at least one person out of those 235,000 used their tip.it email for the PayPal account which puts their credit cards at risk. I love how you seem to see this as OK.

I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but you really shouldn't have your Runescape account linked to an E-mail that you use for other websites. Websites get hacked, and unfortunately Tip.It was among them. Personally, I have never gotten any of these E-mails.
Inb4lockedormoved.
Why would it be locked or moved? This is a serious issue, locking this thread would only show that staff is trying to cover up the fact that they screwed up bigtime.

They were hacked a while back. No one knows exactly what was taken, but it's pretty safe to say that everyones email addresses are out there now. That said, before the hacking I never got phishing emails ever. Since then I get maybe 3-4 a week max. Are you sure you didn't use that email address on another site as well?
I am not a part of any other Runescape related sites, so no. I only use this email for "big" websites like eBay & Twitter

Well, I do lots of things while home alone, but here is a sample from last weekend:
- Homework
- Code tip.it guides
- Study
- Watch MLP-FiM
- Read MLP-FiM Fanfics
- Listen to MLP-FiM inspired music
- Play RPGs online
- Kick drunken neighbors out when they come in the wrong room
- Lock door to keep said drunken neighbors out
- Threaten to call the police if the drunken neighbors don't stop trying to get in
- Call the RA to get the drunken neighbors to go to their own room
Bronies exist on tip.it now too?

Seriously, who does this? You are basically paying people to do their job - which is the duty of their employer. Maybe people should find a new job if they complain about the pay being low. You shouldn't have a salary that has the majority dictated on how much the consumers give you.

I currently have a Compaq CQ60-210US laptop and I was trying to enable my built in microphone but with no success thus far
-I am running Windows 7 (64-bit)
-I called HP and they can confirm I have a built in mic
-I tried talking into the voice recorder and got nothing during playback
This is what my recording device shows:
I downloaded the latest driver for that device also. Any help?

So I heard today that Stem Cells have the potential to cure fatal illnesses like Cancer, Diabetes, ALS & many others. My question is, why aren't we funding this? Are the pro life people really holding us back from a wealth of medical breakthroughs? I've just recently read up on Stem Cell Research and it looks like it has amazing potential for society. What are your views on Stem Cell Research?

Oh god... there's some [cabbage]ty albums on there that I wouldn't even dare refer to as Hip Hop. It always makes me sad when I see Lil Wayne or Gucci Mane being discussed in a Hip Hop thread.
There is some albums on there that I can respect or even listen to, but those few pieces that belong in the trash ruin the total picture.

I could care less, this site is some liberal shithole these days that filters a users opinion when it doesn't agree with the general consensus. It was entertaining to me when I was 13 and have no concept of mature discussion. It seems like this site has devolved into a place with a bunch of children who can't spell (read: you), and a facist board of staff who try to censor and ban everything they don't like. (I wouldn't be surprised if one of them deleted this post and "warned" me because it hurt their feelings).
Don't worry, some day you'll get older and outgrow this website just like I did. The LE EPIC MEMES FACEBOOK HUMOR will soon get old and tiresome.
