  1. I have a red-green casual deck to play with friends on a regular basis. We all stuck to modern to define a card-pool to choose from but none of us play competitive stuff (No tarmogoys,... in our group) mostly because these cards are just way too expensive.

I might've played standard if there was a game store near where I live.

  2. A great little quest. That last fight was hard though, mostly because there seems to be some kind of strange lag/bug something when that special smashing attack is used. On the notes of Zanik...

She did seem different indeed. I didn't like it. And why did Jagex have to make us say good bye to her? I will miss her, really. She is, according to me, our character's best friend. We have been through a huge lot together, and now they have to make her leave for Yu'Biusk? And dying? Come on. There could have been so many better options! :(

Not dying. (unless you killed her)

She said she was even feeling stronger by the end of the quest.

  3. I'm not sure if I'll utilise this but it does sound interesting.

"low level" areas will be more crowded again as people who want to increase their combat skills prestige level will start fighting there again.

I think it might be a nice way to even out the population density between all the areas a bit.

  4.

Here are the (in my opinion) most important "teasers":

    • You will be pleased to hear we identified several ultimates that are being reworked, this should see more uniformed ulti's across the different styles.
    • (When asked if their will be t90 2H varieties) Yes, but they wont be variants of the existing lvl 90 weapons, they will be something different..
    • We are looking at ways of seriously upgrading the downloadable client, and looking at ways of getting the improvements of the HTML5 client, but without the performance & stability problems caused by Chrome... Hopefully early/mid next year so those things to surface.
    • (When asked about when we will get more summoning content) Next year I hope
    • We've got some tier / gap fillers coming :)
Also drop tables is something we would like to do.
    • RE Dungeoneering finale... I think that particular question will e cleared up in a saga. Its something I would like to do.
    • We are motivated to finish existing land masses before creating any new continents.
    • (when asked about Saradomin's god tier) I think it would be fairer to call him a tier 2.5 god.
    • The big construction rework is still in our plans for next year. Yes we're planning on doing some improvements to the default character customization outfits / hair / etc pretty soon, hopefully in the next few months.
    • I would like to revisit the bank / worn interface interactions to make gearing up more efficient :p
    • I'd love to graphically rework everything, but then nobody would be working on new content! Its about getting a decent mix. Sadly keldagrim is quite far down on the list.
  5. still just feels a little harsh to have no wiggle room at all on that top reward.

This. I won't be home every day of september to do a daily challenge. It's most likely I won't be able to get the top reward.

A few days wiggle room would've been nice or the option to postpone a few heroic challenges.

  6. JAgex logic.

Not enough content to fill September and they just postpone this 1 week to skip a week of content ;)

Who said anything about skipping? There will be two updates next week.

I doubt it. The last few times this has happened the update for that week was pushed back.

We apologise for the delay and plan to move the launch into next week's game update.

Let's hope for two updates then.

  7. Ok then... No zoom. :/

Yeah it was just because the whole first picture was zoomed out. If you click on it so you can see it at its regular size, you'll notice the icons are the same size.

I overlayed both minimaps by rotating one and giving it a bit of transparency:

  8. Elves are Seren.

Dwarves we haven't really been given much in the way of God info, one would assume Guthix seeing as he brought them in originally or Saradomin seeing as most everyone swapped to him. Only other possible choice in my eyes would be perhaps the Fremenik God based on the location of Kelda + their distaste for magic.

Seren sounds very probable. I personally think they'll take some desert god(s) for number 8.

Now I really want to know what the runes mean...

Below what I'm currently thinking, assuming the wildy sword says "BEHAVE", l = i and the first word at the Guthix-shrine is "BALANCE"

So anyone else have any ideas?

  10. Call me a nerd, but that top symbol is the exact one Gandalf drew on Bilbo's door to guide the dwarfs. Hur hur.

So Guthix just wanted to invite the other gods on an adventure and they got scared and ran away from the plane? What a downer

The rune Gandalf drew on Bilbo's door was the G.

Maybe it spells "Guthix" in this version?

EDIT: It's a G in dwarven runes (Middle Earth) but an F in regular runes.

  11. Curveball: All of them are J.A.S.

Jas is just a combination of the initial of their names.

I liked this idea and went to look for some information and found this: :P

JAS is a real-life acronym which stands for Java Application Server, the application that drives RuneScape's game engine. This may imply that Jas is some sort of godly being, necessary for the existence of Gielinor, for, as stated before, RuneScape as a whole relies on Java to keep it running. This may also reference his massive powers, as mentioned above. It may also imply that Jagex may be the "god" that "created" RuneScape both in a physical sense and in-game.

  12. That was... Awesome.

This is all kinds of awesome.

    Out of these three:

    p2mp9W3.jpg

Which one is supposed to be Jas? I guess the middle one. The one on the left reminds me of the TzHaar and Tok Haar, so I guess that one is responsible for the Elder Kiln. And the one on the right looks to be the creator of the Dramen tree, and by extension what are now known as the fairy ring networks.

I'd say the Rocky fella on the left is Jas...it's the stone of Jas after all, isn't it?

Could be the one in the middle too. :P But it's most likely one of these two.

  13. Who said a behind the scenes video can't be released after the quest?

It can but I think it's unlikely.

Next week Behind the scenes talks to Mods Ana and Osborne about the incredible top secret sequel to 'While Guthix Sleeps': The World Wakes

It is possible but I highly doubt it. It would mean that this week's video will be more like a "making of" instead of a "Behind the scenes".

If they don't release the quest this week. I hope they'll at least release the new BTS video today. :(

I really can't wait for the new quest.

EDIT: Just saw Lioness' post. BTS will be friday. Well at least now we know when. :)

    EDIT EDIT:

We've got some tantalising World Wakes-related goodies coming this week too: in Friday's Behind the Scenes video, Mod Ana will take you on a tour of some of the quest's content, and there's an extra-cool surprise coming during the week as well. Keep an eye on the news for more details!

  14. It seems that the shadowy figure appears for single players. Only you can see it.

And someone found out that you can trigger it at the digsite by standing near the stairs, going to the lobby, logging back in and then running down the stairs a bit.

(That worked for me and I managed to get a screenie too)

  15. I haven't decided yet.

If it doesn't affect the main game, I don't mind voting yes but I probably won't do anything else than look around for a few hours on the 2007-servers before returning to the main game.

(I like runescape as it is now. Except the fact that EoC could use more tweaking.)

I'd only vote yes for the people who are really waiting for this and are planning to actually spend some time on the 2007-servers.

I just hope that it won't be just a 'hype' for a couple of weeks/months before the 2007-servers are just standing there collecting dust.

  16. [hide=Patch notes]

The following small fixes and adjustments have now been made to the game. If you spot any further bugs in-game, please use the Bug Report feature.

    Graphical:

The cogs beneath windmills now animate when in use.

A misaligned tree trunk south of the Tree Gnome Stronghold has been corrected.

The "apron" section of all black plateleg models has been shortened.

Several areas of the game no longer cause the screen to go white with bloom enabled.

The Carnillean house south-west of Ardougne no longer has seams between the roof and walls.

Grass found on some stairs in Yanille no longer flickers.

Some white blotches south west of the Taverley shoreline has been fixed.

A red triangle no longer appears beneath Char in Firemakers' Curse when killed over a water pool.

Hazelmere is now using the correct animation set.

A tree has been returned to south-eastern Yanille. However, it might not be quite as you remember it...

    Quests & Tasks:

The Fareed and Flambeed fights in Desert Treasure, Recipe for Disaster and Dominion Tower will now, when trying to unequip a weapon with a full inventory, cause the player to bank a low value item, or with a full bank, drop a low value item.

Some areas of The Hollows have been blocked off to stop players from entering the area before starting In Search of the Myreque.

    Skills & Minigames:

Hybrid armour no longer applies the damage boost in Castle Wars twice.

It is no longer possible to get free Mage Training Arena points by using Borrowed Power.

    Other:

Players trying to trade an item for the same lent version of that item are now warned that there is no feasible reason to do this and that it's likely a scam. The "player has declined the trade" text is also now shown in all chat panels.

Several bank chests have had a "Collect" option added.

Player familiars outside the Soul Wars waiting areas are now hidden.

The bankers in Port Phasmatys are once again working correctly.

Rimae Sirsalis now speaks about giving players Pure essence instead of Rune essence. She will also be less chatty when giving the reward.

The XP counter setup interface can no longer be opened in cutscenes.

A spelling error in the Mercenary Adventurer's dialogue has been corrected.

A hint arrow trail is now shown when directing players to the Player Loyalty store in the Troll Warzone.

    [/hide]

Was kinda hoping for the new tasks but I guess I can wait another week.
