  1. I've met some very lovely Arabs in my travels aswell. Nothing against the most of them. But here specifically I was referring to the ones of royal family ancestry and pretty much unlimited funds. They make up maybe 0.1% of all Arabs. And they are pretty rotten.

You could say the same about overprivileged brats of any ethnicity, however I haven't had a chance to meet them yet.

  2. I see my hairline has receded a tiny wee bit, but I have properly thick hair which covers everything when longer and when shorter I cut it that short that it doesn't matter anyway. Also, a [bleep]in' beard helps.

  3. What I meant is that I have limits. I just don't have the stamina for driving that much while working. I don't want to risk falling asleep at the wheel.

And it's not like she has something critical, it was just a small thing that needed a medical intervention. She'll probs be coming home with me tonight.

Today, so far I've been at the hospital with my mum for 7 hrs. That is after finishing the morning shift and having someone cover for me for the evening. And we've gotta move out of our temp house for the summer by tomorrow noon. We kinda haven't even started packing... Looks like an all-nighter or sth similar.

  4. Not really. 40 km's from the local hospital and now 140 km's from the regional hospital. And here they don't measure distances as much in km's as they do in hours. It's pretty much 2h one way and that's a bit too much if I work ~11h per day divided to morning and evening.

  5. Yay, my mum is in the hospital, but none of the doctors cares or even listens to what she is saying. The fact that she can't really speak the language doesn't really help either. And I can't be there to translate, as I have to work...

Last day of work tomorrow. But me leaving the country has now been delayed indefinitely due to my mum's condition...

If they had just listened the first time, she would have been sent to the bigger regional hospital already yesterday and she'd probably already be working today.

  6. See? Thread reinvigorated with a single line :D

I wonder how Trump's personal doctor "verified" the suitability of every candidate to spend a night with Trump... I mean, if the doc also had a Toad, why would anyone go further?

  7. Well, you can always make one. For example, about how your beloved president's dick is tinier than Toad's.

3 more days of pain. And then home, sweet home. Finally.

  8. You unlucky people who live in natural disaster regions...

Bloody hell how long it takes to finish work right now. My mum is pretty much unable to do anything, so I work alone...

  9. I hope hell exists and it's reserved for people who stand others up

I'm more reliable than a [bleep]ing clock why can't others be.

    that's it for tonight

    ...

I deleted the extra rude bits. I tend to get egotistical when I get mad. I apologize.

btw if I hear "you're [cute / funny / sweet / nice / good] but..." one more time

apparently none of those attributes mean anything

    none of them

Socialization and dating has made me cynical of people.

    That enough? Past few pages.

After one-upping Antarctica I just mentioned that it isn't THAT off limits and gave a tip on how to get there cheapest. I've only had budget trips, backpacking through countries. Travelling isn't that expensive, I could probably handle a week-long trip to somewhere in Europe for just 200 bucks.

I wasn't mentioning that physical job to you alone, I mentioned that it could work instead of a gym in general.

And height is something that is out of your or my powers, so you've gotta just take it out of the equation. You shouldn't be hurt by it. And with my height, I get physically hurt by it all the time, cause buildings and cars aren't built for people my size :D

  10. You've gotta stop thinking everyone is always one-upping or condescending or letting down someone. Sometimes it does happen, but that's life. It helps a lot if you think that sometimes people can be and can do some good aswell. Have faith.

I don't think you need to look like a Greek god or Adonis to be succesful. When you have clothes on, it doesn't matter if you have a sixpack. If you like to walk in too tight shirts and stuff and flaunt your muscles to everyone then at least around here it is actually considered off-putting. Gives the idea that one is just a brainless douche whose life only consists of gym and maybe steroids. But what does matter is that you have some bulk on your upper body, so that clothes don't just hang on you like on a coat hanger. And for that bulk you don't need to properly train heaps in a gym, exercising and working physically helps to get and maintain it aswell. It's not like a girl would leave you just for not having a sixpack when you' ve already gotten to the point of taking clothes off.

Although, to be honest, I don't know how it is like to be 5'8"... That's about a cm short of the female average for Estonians and an inch shorter than my mom.

  11.

PhD experience differs a lot between subjects and countries and whatnot. Down here, you generally live pretty well on the grants. And doctorate scholarships. And doing it in IT or genetics or some engineering field pays a lot.

Work, work, work all the time.

I barely got paid 14,000 EUR a year to do my PhD in the UK. That is the flat rate all-across the UK, regardless of subject. You might get a few Ks more if you are lucky.

Damn, even we get more than that... As much as I've heard, it starts at about 18K Euros a year and it goes way up, depending on subject/topic.

Work, work, work all the time.

  13. I don't lift per se, partly cause my nearest gym is 40 km's or 26 miles away, but more due to having worked physically for more than a year in a row now. I am not ripped or bulky in any way, but I am strong and wide enough. Being 6'8 also helps.

Being able to grow a proper beard has also helped for me.

But you seriously need to bulk up.

Looking and acting more masculine has worked wonders. It just is that way. In recent times I've rather had issues with me being too picky rather than not having anyone interested in me when I go out.

  14. Most Scandinavian languages are Germanic based, only Finnish and Sami aren't.

I actually studied Mandarin for a semester in uni, that was interesting. A melodic language, where the meaning changes by the tonality of the phrase. We don't have it as pronounced, but a wee bit similar. For example, jäääär, aiaauk are words, which you can try to pronounce.

  15. Shit happens. Might be a reason that someone flaked. Everybody is super busy these days. And people cannot be relied on all the time anymore.

I know I am as guilty about standing up to others as most people, but at least I try to be everywhere and if I can't I'll at least let people know. Even if it's after the fact.

A young vet (as in veterinary) seems to be flirting with me. Think she was here once last year, I didn't even recognize her at once, but she remembered me and asked about how my trip to the States and on was...

Even my mum, who is here working with me in this farm mentioned she smiled very brightly and laughed to nearly everything I said. The vet even wondered how long I'd be here and made sure to mention when she'd be working

    Oh, and she pretty.

Dang it, if I'd really lived here and she'd live closer than ~100 km's (2-hour trip over mountains) away...
