  1. So I'm guessing free players are allowed to level up members' skills to level 5 beginning whenever they implement the update? My view of it is that since it's available on a free-to-play server to do this it would be allowed. Any opinions on this?

The problem arises that after this it will be impossible to tell what accounts are genuinely F2P, or which are former members.

There's been nonstop debates going on all day in the friends chat about this (and we've only known about it for a few hours after all), and everyone has a different opinion. If you get experience in skills that are Pay-To-Play, can you really be considered Pure F2p? One of the requirements for being Pure F2p is, and has always been "Has no experience in P2P skills or rankings in P2P Minigames." Quite a few of us older players are vehemently against this. And let us not forget the inummerable easier training methods that are going to come in force (even the possibility of using a former P2P friend's Gilded Altar to train prayer) and totally undermine what we have all achieved thus far. Even those who would try and avoid getting this P2P experience, accidents (such as is guaranteed to happen in Dungeoneering and other places) and the like would prevent us.

Of course, the fact that you can train these in F2P now has also sparked the other side, "Since we can do it in F2P, isn't it F2P?"

It really seems to me that Jagex is trying to put a final nail in the coffin that has become F2P, getting rid of the trial and turning the entire F2P game into a P2P Trial.

I'm really unsure about the future of the 250 Lists, and the F2P game in general at the moment. I am going to discuss this thoroughly with the Purefreetoplay team before coming to a decision on whether or not we will continue the Lists if this update does indeed come to pass. I hope we can, but it seems to me to be an insurmountable task.

As soon as we have come to a final decision, I will let everyone know via this forum thread, and of course, feel free to discuss this here as it affects all of us, and I would like to know everyone's opinion on it. I will, of course, continue to update the Lists in the meantime.

One of the requirements of being a pure F2P account is having no members skills. But, as the game changes the rules have to change. I'd say it should be completely allowed to get level 5 in all members skills because it doesn't have much effect on anything. It does not make it any easier to distinguish who is a member and who is not, because you could easily be a member and not have any P2P skills. Also, you can just look in the hiscores for them if they are P2P. I don't know what effects having Taverly and other areas open to us will have though, I haven't been on a p2p account in a couple years.

  2. Upon the Clan Camp update, there has been a Top 250 F2P clan created in-game, of course, a personalized cape and flagstaff etc etc.

It'd be really nice if everyone in the Top 250 F2P can join this clan for discussion, general chat, or events that someone might want to set up.

Top 250 F2P is the name.

Those that have been on the list before but have been kicked off will still be able to join, however, they will not be as high of a rank as those currently on the list.

Those that are within 50 levels of reaching the list can join as a Recruit.

Later on when more people are registered in the Clan Chat/Clan, we are planning on creating sub ranks throughout the list.

    For example:

Rank 1-10, 10-50, 50-100, 100-150, 150-200, 200-250 etc etc, obviously ranks are subject to change as this is still the beginning of its creation.

    NOTE:

Many of you are in your own personal clan, and that is fine, you are still welcome as a guest in the clan chat.

  3. This again, Animorph?

Tez from the short time I was acquainted with her has always maintained that she doesn't want to be on the list. Ever. No rank, no problem. For you.

As to how Tez did it - you ought to have spotted her plenty of times in world 61 after she was done with world1/7 for dungeoneering. Start a witch hunt by all means, but don't be surprised when you come up with nothing but chatter.

Learn to interpret a comment correctly please.

I was referring to someone who claimed he/she cheated. I never said he/she did, but its always a possibility, considering she jumped through the levels really fast.

And no, I haven't spotted her on w61 because I never go on w61. And I knew he/she didn't want to be on the list, I never said she wanted to be. And actually, it does affect my rank because I still have to add him/her to my current rank to compensate for the exclusion of he/she on the list.

  4. Names that won't be on the normal list:

    Mauranius

    Tawrus

    Devilstator

    Tezaki1

    Glitched:

    222champ

    Gereed123

    Meneer_Naab

Rank #86, decent. I'll wait until I get rank 250 until I try to stay on the last just so I know my actual F2P rank. But that might be...a couple years. Keep going everyone!

  5. I've pretty much quit Runescape.

350k EXP in the last month.

Between friends, school, work, and a relationship I've had little time to play Runescape.

The little relaxing time I have will probably be spent playing Xbox, moreso when I get Xbox live.

However, I'm still averaging about 3 hours of Runescape a week, so I'm not completely gone as of yet.

But I sort of believe it'll be time to say goodbye soon, and whenever I have a little bit of time to play and actually WANT to, I gladly will.

These 8 years of Runescape have been amazing, even though I was addicted for 2 years, but it made me who I am.

So I thank all of you that have helped me get as far as I have, and those that are still striving for those goals, best of luck <3

Best of luck Ani, though I am sure we will see you around once in a while during the holiday and other special events. I actually play way less compare to what you mentioned, and all I did was just to go on RS to get food hamper from the Lumby cook.......I think I average around 2 hours per week now. Still, I won't really give up RS that easily, because I know I will be in for the long haul, but at least its more manageable compare to pure training before.

More than likely I'll be back during holidays ;)

    But thank you Central :)
