    Edit: I guess this needs a bit more explanation. My computer can no longer run Java. Every time I try to boot up RS, my browsers crash. I have done everything possible to attempt to fix it, with no such luck. Hopefully I will be back soon. But seriously, I will still be around on the forums; if you guys want to talk even more, please PM me here and I will gladly give you my MSN address so we can keep in touch.

    Quitting RS

    But srsly.
     
    It would appear that there is a rumor going around that I have quit playing RuneScape. I am here to tell you today, folks, that this is NOT TRUE.
     
    (Pause for Boo's or Applause.)
     
    My laptop has slowly been dying, and one day Java randomly stopped working properly. I am able to log into RuneScape still, but it is incredibly slow-going, and messaging in PM or CC is nearly impossible to do. Moving around or trying to navigate my bank is also equally sluggish and impossible. Most days, I log in, become so mad at the lag, and promptly log out a minute or so later.
     
    So anyway, just passing the message along. If you happen to hear anyone in CC mention that I've quit or am quitting, please do me a favor and pass the word along that me and my banhammer are still alive and "kicking" (harhar, get it?!).

    99 #3: Magic

    So, one day at Barrows a little over a month ago I randomly decided to get 99 Magic. I was around level 76-78 Magic at the time.
     
    Anyway, I've been hacking away at this skill for some reason, and it's been a pretty fun journey!
     
    I experimented with a lot of different training methods, and it was really cool to learn a bunch of stuff about a skill that I had otherwise taken for granted. I Alched, Superheated, Enchanted at the Mage Training Arena; I Humidified, Strung Jewellery, and Plank-Made myself silly; I killed a bunch of stuff using Ancient Magicks.
     
    Unlike my previous two 99's (Cooking and Woodcutting) I didn't document my leveling on a day-to-day basis.

    If any of you have read my blog post titled R.I.P. Raven, 2009-2010 (and if you haven't, go read it!!! It's such a sad story) you will know what HEARTACHE I went through when my raven pet was FREAKISHLY mutated while in my POH.
     
    Anyway.
     
    LOOK AT THIS LOVELY JEWEL I FOUND IN THE PATCH NOTES FROM MAY 25, 2010:

    Well, I had a really, really terrible night at work tonight, and came home thoroughly depressed.
     
    I just thought I'd share my adventures from RuneScape, because I was really cheered up and everything is okay now ^o^
     
    Today...
     

    ...I got 77 Herblore
    ...I made about 10M
    ...I got Karil's coif, Karil's top (4M), and Verac's flail from Barrows (looted 6 chests all together ^o^)
    ...Tears of Guthix bumped my Faileoneering level up to 16, which got me...
    ...1800 Total Levels (9 years after creating this account :P )
     
    Ty for all my friends in cc for gratsing me on my small achievements, you really helped cheer me up after my crappy night IRL.

    My sweet, sweet raven... :-(
     
    A terrible sadness occurred today, and I must vent my frustration and anguish with you all.
     
    On the road to 99 Woodcutting, I was blessed with receiving four (4) Raven egg nest-drops. I was elated to even have received the first, as the Raven had been my most desired of all of the pets -- much to my happiness, I ended up getting four!
     
    Slowly but surely (slowly on account of usually forgetting to unbank them...) I raised up two of them to adulthood, one a solid brown color, the other, solid black. However, my desired look still evaded me...
     
    HOWEVER!, the Gods smiled favorably upon me, and upon hatching my third Raven egg, I was overjoyed to see that it was a black-bodied, golden-beaked Raven, the best form of this animal.
     
    Again, I persisted in raising this beautiful creature to adulthood, slowly over time.
     
    Again, MUCH TO MY DELIGHT, this awesome gift reached maturity TONIGHT, April 28, 2010. I even had a friend (Iiccee <3: ) hanging out with me to celebrate the exact moment it went from 99% -> 100%.
     
    Fireworks and much joy ensued, and me and my new grown friend danced away to my POH, so it could play with its brother and sister.
     
    My OCD kicked in, and I was quite insistent upon having all of my Ravens grouped next to each other in the Pet House interface. As I already had the max amount of pets stored for that type (2 Ravens, 1 Penguin, 3 Rune guardians) it took a bit of shuffling around (and killing off one Guardian...) to get it just right.
     
    Then... TRAGEDY STRUCK.
     
    I innocently dropped my newly-hatched (black with gold beak) Raven onto the ground, and to my HORROR the adult that spawned in front of me was SOLID BLACK. I was shocked and confused, as my already existing full-black raven was behind me, and this new full-black one mutated in front of me!
     
    Thinking it just an error with the displays, I picked it up; however... the inventory icon remained the same: solid black. Still thinking I had messed up in which one I had actually dropped ("I'm tired... I must have withdrawn the solid black one all along, and the gold-beaked one is still stored...") I took a peek into my Pet House.
     
    ....a solid black Raven stored. A solid black Raven in my inventory.
     
    My beautiful new friend, with his lustrous golden beak, had died, mere moments after growing up.
     
    I am quite saddened by the terrible events that have occurred tonight. My heart is crying right now.
     
    I have submitted a Bug Report for this incident, and while I do not assume that I will get my beautiful Raven back, I hope that this issue is fixed so no one else is as heartbroken as I.
     
    I am hopeful that Raven #4 will be Gold Beak Incarnate...

    Yep! I finally did it! 99 Woodcutting, achieved on the morning of Friday, February 26, 2010! On top of that, this is my second level 99, and I trimmed my beautiful Cooking cape! <3:
     
    99 Woodcutting wasn't all that bad to get! I mostly trained via Sawmill jobs in Varrock, and jazzed it up with two Evil Trees every day, cutting Yew and Magic logs when I needed a break from the constant plank-cutting! Planted a lovely Magic tree in the Tree Gnome Stronghold, so I would camp out and grab the two Magics there, and then run north a bit to the Yews whilst waiting for them to respawn.
     
    Thank you to those of you who (totally of your own free will, and by no goading/harassing on my part) came out to support me! I really do appreciate it! <3: <3: <3:
     
    As for what's next? Well, full Void and a *gasp* Combat 99 may just be on the horizon... we'll just have to wait and see! :)

    FINALLY GOT MY SLAYER HELMET!!!
     

    (P.S., Spiky vambs are pro. Gtfo don't judge me.)
     
    I've wanted this helm for a very long time now, but I really didn't do Smoking Kills until sometime late last year.
     
    Well, been no-lifing Slayer these past few days, and finally got enough points for it on Task #40!
     
    I'm so excited and proud of myself, as I had to kill lots of big, scary things that eat skillers like me! :unsure:
     
    Plus, I think I look pro! =)
     
    Edit: Bought Hexcrest and Focus sight off G.E., so the pic above is kinda outdated now -- I've got the Full slayer helm (e) now! WOOHOO! <3:

    79 -> 82 Herblore
    78 -> 80 Farming
    For the rest of the weekend, I'll just be Firemaking again. I have an odd thousand or so Magic logs left, and then back to Maples. :-w
     
    Also, Mike convinced me to plant my first ever Spirit tree, so I have that last little chunk of Farming experience left to look forward to.
     
    Definitely a good day so far, especially with the "minirollback" they did with the 2.7x modifier.
