finishing blow doesn.t determine who gets the kill, its who does more damage. cmiiw, i'm pretty sure "last hit" only makes a difference when killing slayer monsters.
edit: i'm usually one of those people who steals kills. why? because the strongest players who have no-lifed for the longest time deserve priority over others in MMO's. it becomes more of a competition for loot than anything
If you steal kills from level 60s, then in my eyes you have no priority over anyone/anything. If you have no-lifed for so long, 30 seconds longer to get your own kill shouldn't be too much trouble. If you can't get your own loot by the point you are at, you don't deserve it.

Here are a few statements i would like to make.
1. If i attack you and you say "Off", it does not make me a "noob" if i refuse.
2. If we are on the same team and you collapse rocks on top of me, i am not a "jerk" for being killed.
3. You don't "Own" someone if it takes 8 people over 6 minutes to kill them.
4. Generally the aim of the game is to capture the enemy flag and annihilate them in general, not rest next to the alchers and have a good old chit chat.
5. If you want a 1v1, go to the duel arena.
6. If you manage to randomly come across me when i have 6hp left, if you are a lower level than me and kill me, it doesn't make you better than me.
7. The person with our flag is the target, not the level 52 with no armour beside them.
8. Being able to tank doesn't make me a "def nub", it makes me better than you if you feel the need to complain.
9. Barricades work both ways, they might not be able to get our flag but we sure as hell can't get theirs either.
10. Hitting a 74 through prayer doesn't make you amgpr0 when you have a godsword.
Meh. I think i have said it all. Post the things you hate about people in Castle Wars. I personally love it, but the things noted above drive me crazy.

What are the "Magic Abilities"?
Pretty sure no one has finished it yet.
Yeah, but i didn't know if there was information in the knowledge base or not.

@linkzelda30, i kind of assumed that anyone who was able to complete Spirit of Summer would already know that. If it becomes an issue i will makes sure to add an annotation, thanks for the pointer :)
If you're going to have an audio track, I think it should be a voiceover explanation. There doesn't seem to be any reason for the music.
If you don't like it, mute it. Some people do. I personally hate videos that have no music, i find a lot of music i like from browsing random videos on YouTube.

5 Great, Unknown and Unused Training Spots (P2P & F2P)
This guide shows 5 great spots that you will never have to fight for. I have personally never seen a single person in ANY of these spots. They all give good amounts of experience per hour (mostly 60k+) and also most have decent gp per hour (3 have over 150k per hour). The requirements for these spots may not be as low as some other spots, which is in some ways an advantage. If it takes more time to be able to unlock the training spot, you are less likely to get any bots for them and the lack of pures will keep them usable for years.
All averages were taken with the same gear and the same stats. The only change was on method 4, where melee bonus was gained from prayers.

When i was finishing Dream Mentor the boss monster barely did any damage. I only had to use 2 sharks.

Just made this in photoshop. I have never really done much in the area of vectors/icons, so i guess this is a start. I am posting it here and not in the graphics section because i suspect any further icons etc that i make will be RS related, so i can update this thread.
Feel free to use it if you want to, i would appreciate credit to be given if you do.
As i said, i have never really attempted anything like this before. I know that it is somewhat imperfect. I would love to hear your opinions of it as my first.
Thanks.

Player mods arn't people who report "willie-nillie". They are people break into your chatbox when you have public set to hide >.>

There has to come a point where Jagex will have to increase the possible amount of HP. Considering that currently you can easily 3 hit someone with maxed HP with the current max strength bonus. How can they keep adding powerful weapons without countering the power somehow?
I think it would be good if they released the dragon defender along with a quest. I always find i enjoy things more if it took some doing to get it in the first place.
-
Is due to the NPC "Stiles" being added. It allows people to note swordfish, tuna and lobsters that they fish from the Karamja fishing spots in a pretty short amount of time.

I was tempted to go to steel and iron dragons, but since most drops there are pretty worthless now i decided against it.
I was superheating steel, i think i may have got the prices a little wrong though.

Skillers whine because someone with no PvP skill just killed them
Since when does killing someone who is skilling = No skill? Last time i checked, taking easy kills is just common sense. Anyone who critisises someone else for getting very easy money is nothing short of a moron.
Thanks for all the advice. I will definitely try out avainsies, once i get my 94 magic i should be able to beat a majority of people that attack me (unless i get a clan, of course).
-
Hi,
i have been training towards 94 magic from 84. I worked out at level 85, that it would cost me 4.5m to superheat my way to 94. Since then, prices have changed a lot and it will now cost me 6.8m to go just from 89 to 94. I can't really afford to spend 7m on 5 levels, so i need a better method.
I'm not much of a fan of alching, a majority of items that profit/barely lose money take weeks to buy in bulk (100 limits etc). Cursing would be cheap, but it would take take 90 hours for these 5 levels, which is a bit excessive.
So far, the most attractive option would be level 6 enchant. It would cost 2.7m and could get me a fair amount of enchant points in the MTA. But i'm not sure about casts per hour. Anywhere between 1,000 - 1,500 casts per hour and i would be more than happy. So, if anyone could help me out with enchants per hour in the MTA, i would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance.

Sucks to think that a few years back (2005ish?) there was up to 290k people playing at any given time (i think, maybe 240k). Runescape is dying :(

Thanks for the tips, especially the heroes guild one ;)
If skillers whine then they are idiots. It is called player vs player for a reason haha.

Hi,
i was just wondering what the best place would be for killing people using PVP worlds for skilling purposes.
My first instincts were:
-Slayer tower
-Barrows (melee training)
-Hunting areas
-Runecrafting altars
Are there any other good places to catch people off guard?
Thanks.

The reason this method of making money died out is because it's outdated.
Tower of life: Unicows are faster sources of unicorn horns.
I don't think money makers of under 750k gp/hour are worth writing guides about tbh.
The only reason you would make less is if you're low level.
Players that are low level should really prioritize leveling up, not making money though.
I mean if a low level player runs in here and reads this guide and thinks:
"Hey! 300k-400k gp/hour! that's good money!"
I mean sure, he'd earn some money but he'd still be in roughly the same low level hole that he was in before.
these kinds of guides point lower level players, who don't always know better, in the wrong direction IMO.
I see your point, but without money you might not be able to make the most of your levels. The better your gear, the faster you can train. Say you are 70 attack and you want 75, but you can't afford a whip. If you do this for a few hours, you would be able to afford a whip to speed up training. During this time you could also get over 300k melee experience

It is a Runescape guide, and a majority of the information is in text. I don't see how it is any different from reading down a page.

300k - 400k Per Hour Plus 20k - 30k Melee Experience
This method of making money used to be popular, but it has seemed to died out in the past year or two. I made this guide because this method is too good to forget, 300k - 400k per hour with very low requirements. This will also get you some minimal melee experience, but hey... Every little helps. All information is given in the video.

@Morionic
How is the market for teletabs in any way "tiny"? I personally use anywhere between 5 and 20 teletabs in an average day of getting about. I bet that a majority of other P2P players use at least 1 teletab per day. PKers, people on different spell books, people saving inventory spaces... They all make up an absolutely huge market that will last for a very long time.
As for the thing you said about bots, there are so many things wrong with that statement. Most unbanned bots would be on for no longer than 8 - 10 hours per day, during which they would perform one task. The reason why i said it would get rid of them is because softening clay is one of the well known bot tasks. No skill requirements, no large monetary requirements, it would take 5 minutes to make a suitable account for it.
-
@zaaps
The prices won't stay AS profitable, but i have a strong suspision that this method will last. It may make the other clay softening methods redundent, but hey... That has to be 25,000 bots wiped out in one update.
I'd do this if I had already done the quest, but I haven't haha - Good idea anyways, could be useful for some questers
I only did the quest recently (i did quit for a while afterwards). If you have the requirements for the quest, DO IT! The spell book is seriously useful, good for money, too. Filling vials can be a good mix between cash and magic experience. You can also humidify instead of alching. You just get a fishbowl, put it underneath where the humidify spell is (so if you didn't move your mouse you would click in the same place) and then use the inventory switch hotkey (F6, i think?) to empty the fishbowl, then use humidify to fill it. The experience is better than alching, as you can empty and cast again before the animation finishes. It is around 3gp per 1 exp, which is a reasonable amount considering the speed.
-
You forgot to add that it needs the lunar spell book?
I think that saying "The ability to use the 'Humidify' spell" covers that one, but thanks for pointing it out.
I think this will last for a long time. The demand for tele tabs will be ever lasting, as will the supply of clay and supply of astrals. It may become less profitable, but i think it will always be a decent way to make cash.

You are still a worse person for doing it. They work hard for their kills, you don't. Then you come along and steal theirs anyway? You are pathetic.
