I'VE HAD 3 ZAMMY PLATES FROM THAT SAME LOCATION! A pattern is emerging...

Anything that even hints that there taking a strong stand against bots is good news for me. Even though, the sad truth is that they can never totally fix the problem because botters will always find a way to get around it <_<

that damn bot.
You excluded the dog? [bleep] you, sir. [bleep] you.

And since there is not a sip option, in Runescape, drink is correct. Not sip.
There is no option to teleport via spells or teletabs(spells are cast, tabs are broken). But I would guess that you have said/say teleport or tele when talking about the act of casting a teleportation spell or breaking a teleport tablet.
Also,
Then you would technically be incorrect.
I don't like using that argument, i much prefer the "i just dislike the word" argument, but the rules of the forum say i need a valid one... So there you go...

you DRINK a full jug of wine.
You SIP 1/4 of a potion.
To Drink
drink (drngk)v. drank (drngk), drunk (drngk), drink·ing, drinks
v.tr.
1. To take into the mouth and swallow (a liquid).
2. To swallow the liquid contents of (a vessel): drank a cup of tea.
3. To take in or soak up; absorb: drank the fresh air; spongy earth that drank up the rain.
4. To take in eagerly through the senses or intellect: drank in the beauty of the day.
5.
a. To give or make (a toast).
b. To toast (a person or an occasion, for example): We'll drink your health.
6. To bring to a specific state by drinking alcoholic liquors: drank our sorrows away.
To Sip
sip (sp)v. sipped, sip·ping, sips
v.tr.
1. To drink in small quantities.
2. To drink from in sips.
Therefor the argument you are trying to prove in this rant is that drinking 1/4th of a potion is considered a large quantity in runescape. What is the average quantity you drink in runescape in a given action? A whole jug, a whole bottle, etc.
Therefor in comparision to average quantities of drinking, a dose of potion is considerably smaller by comparison. So in the world of runescape where everyone drinks full jugs/bottles/buckets of drink someone who drinks 1/4th of a tiny bottle of potion would be SIPping it.
Also dont strawman this argument by saying "Well in real life that would be a big drink" because this isn't real life and all laws of the universe dont matter. In runescape a whole shark could be a snack and your character can drink jugs/bottles/barrels/buckets of drinks in one action.
[/thread]
I don't see where in those definitions it said anything concerning "large quantities." Also, i'm fairly sure there are a lot more potions than jugs. So your 'average' theory is pretty baseless.
You seem to have missed the fact that both of your definitions of 'sip' referred to drinking, so drink would still be correct... And since there is not a sip option, in Runescape, drink is correct. Not sip.
Give up, [bleep]ing lol.

When people say "pot" I say "I don't smoke".
The word "sip" just makes me rage. Everyone has words that piss them off, i was just unfortunate enough to get landed with one that people tend to say >_>
Know what makes me rage? Arrogant, belligerent PKers who think they actually matter in the grand scheme of things.
Also, this. +9001 times this.
The grand scheme of TIF? Someone, please, fill me in.
I was more referring to how so many PKers (this may or may not include you, I really don't know) constantly whine at Jagex for updates, even though Jagex spent the better part of a year trying to accommodate them. PKers make up a pretty small portion of active members, so to see so many updates go to a minority of players who are mostly ungrateful is frustrating, to say the least.
So you're whining about how Jagex listens to other players that whine to them and not you?
He has a valid point, there haven't really been many non PvP or quest updates in the past few months.

verb /sip/
sipped, past participle; sipped, past tense; sipping, present participle; sips, 3rd person singular present
Drink (something) by taking small mouthfuls
- I sat sipping coffee
- she sipped at her tea
verb /driNGk/
drank, past tense; drinking, present participle; drinks, 3rd person singular present; drunk, past participle
Take (a liquid) into the mouth and swallow
- we sat by the fire, drinking our coffee
- he drank thirstily
If we look at the size of a vial, herb, secondary, etc. we can determine that, relative to the size of the avatar, a vial or potion is fairly small. Thus, it can be sipped OR drunk. Either term is correct.
Sip is still incorrect as i have previously explained. Repeatedly defining sip doesn't change that.

Tbfh it isn't hard to make a password with letters and numbers that would take weeks to brute force and be impossible to guess. Not the best, but damn good enough unless you are a [developmentally delayed] who throws their password at every "friend" they've known for more than 2 days or someone who claims to "never download anything", excluding those 4 Runescape DDoS tools on your desktop.
Getting hacked is for idiots.
or tired people that fall for phishes on tipit or ect...
tho they usually do a good job of taking them down immidiately people make sites that look exactly like the rs site.........and people accidently put thier pass inthem:P
edit:i never got hacked but almost fell for one of those pHish and seen plenty of links to a fake rs site here on tipit so im sure they are at other places where they dont get taken down quick
It is still idiotic to fall for a phisher, tired or not. It is extremely easy to tell the difference between the real Runescape website and a phishing site.
Of course, people make mistakes. I understand that, but people refer to mistakes as 'stupid mistakes' for a reason.
The only times i have ever been hacked are when i was a [wagon] 12 year old who was too trusting of other people and when i didn't think my family were stupid enough to get our family computer infected. It was stupid of me to think that and it was stupid of me to trust people, and i realise that.
I have never downloaded a virus, been on a java driveby site and accepted the applet, fallen for a phisher or shared my account with someone i shouldn't trust (excluding that one time when i was a handicapped 12yo). Even in the instances where i wasn't able to avoid my account being hacked, i had mitigated against it and was able to prevent any of my items from being taken or my account being stolen/locked.
If i am able to avoid it, along with MANY others, i see no problem with calling out those that aren't and saying it is entirely their fault.

You can perform a drinking action on the potion, which will result in a sip, similar to how you can attack a monster, leading to a kill.
It is never referred to as a sip by Jagex, but attacking a monster or player until it reaches 0lp is frequently referred to as 'killing' it.
Drinking is to take a liquid into the mouth and swallow, which is what the drink action makes your character emulate. Not sipping, drinking.
Drinking a portion of a liquid is frequently referred to as sipping it, similar to attacking a monster until it reaches 0 is referred to as killing it. Drinking/sipping can look identical, but because we can't see the vial, we cannot determine this.
Frequently referred to as sipping, but not by Jagex.

But just in case it isn't...
Doesn't mean there aren't other words that can be used.
True, but i dislike the one that is used. So i rant about it. Why do people not understand the point of the rant section?
http://forum.tip.it/topic/221628-rants-forum-rules-and-posting-guidelines/
The Rants forum is a place for you vent your RuneScape frustrations, but that does not mean that you can post incoherent one-sentence rants. Similar to how General Discussion topics need to supply a platform for discussion and RuneScape Bugs & Suggestions topics need well thought out ideas, your rants also need to be worthy of discussion. Rather than saying, "I don't like this, it sucks," you need to present a valid argument for your rant and back it up. When creating your topic, imagine how people would respond. Would they have something to say at all? If you can think of valid responses and discussions, the chances are that you have a valid topic/argument. As an example, if you want to rant about an aspect of the RuneScape game, first describe that aspect. Then explain what you think about it, why it negatively affects the game and/or community, and maybe even provide a solution to the problem or describe what Jagex should do to fix it.Rather than saying, "I don't like this, it sucks," you need to present a valid argument for your rant and back it upTo "sip" something literally means to take a little drink of a liquid...
I don't see how this warrants a rant.
It annoys me, so i rant about it.
Yup.
And I think personal preference of syntax hardly constitutes a valid reason.
According to Runescape you drink it 4 times, so when playing Runescape and clicking it, it is drinking. Not sipping.
Valid argument provided.
But wats a synonym.
Not personal preference, to say you 'sip' a potion is incorrect. There is no 'sip' option. Synonym or not, it is technically incorrect to use the word 'sip' in the context of using the 'drink' option in Runescape.
Yes, i do personally prefer 'drink' to 'sip', but that is not the valid argument i provided for this rant.
Then you'd better go out and edit away every instance you said to "kill" a monster or player. You can't "kill" a monster, you can only "attack" it.

Ahh. I thought you were simply assuming i was a PKer and were taking a dig at me.
I am perfectly satisfied with all PvP updates =] Never really disliked the old system... And since the new one is an improvement, not much to criticise in my opinion.

I think that some sort of reward system could help.
Inb4peoplewouldspamreport....
I feel that, for example, a reward such as a bot-busting equivalent to the wildstalker helm could improve the likelihood of players actively taking action against bots. A simple, but decent reward for numerous successful macroing reports. To be honest, other than having a minute impact on the botting community that honestly does absolutely nothing i the grand scheme of things, players have no incentive to go and report bots. Maybe the occasional player who gets annoyed by a bot stealing their resource/monster, but not much else is done.
Perhaps Jagex could implement a formal way of signing in and out of these bot busting events, and if a player gets an amount of time/number of reports while clocked in, they could unlock a new piece of gear to show it off.
The fact Jagex are visibly taking hits at the botting community is awesome, but at the same time, may not be long lived if their is little player support. What do players love more than shiny things to put on their character? Nothing. Maybe icecream, but mostly nothing.

I would've liked some more pking clips in the video, though.
So would I =[. But my ISP is taking the piss, and my Dad works such long hours he never bothers to switch. So eh, not much i can do right now. Probably going to be uploading a video of kills/loots from the methods in my guides. And yes, it is somewhat underhanded, but it is PvP... It is rare you would find anyone who wouldn't do the exact same thing if they had the know-how.
Thanks for the comments guys.

I love this trick, found it hard to come up with content for the guide, though. Downed easily 45m using it. 64 hunter ftw =]
