    Actually, yesterday on W159, we sat and watched PMOD ignore a "broken" bot in Edgeville.

     

    She did nothing -- didn't even report it -- while it kept trying to bank and typed "000000000000000000000000000000000" over and over again ...

     

    Hell - she couldn't even be bothered to mute the damn thing.

    Player Moderators are not forced to do anything different while playing the game. Just because they have the power to report does not mean they should. People who call Player Mods to come do something are the most irritating people in the game, "I know a Pmod I'll get them". As a Player Moderator myself there is very very few occasions where I'd go somewhere and do something for the sake of taking action against somebody, it would have to be a very extreme case that needs urgent attention to stop a risk of safety for others.

     

    Also, use your ignore list. I've told you many times before yet you seem to have a problem doing that and always complain about people continuing on saying/doing bad things. Your ignore list exists for a reason, use it.

    I always wanted to be a PMod. I probably would have non-stop bot hunted/scammer muted in w2. Shame, instead they seem to have given the position to more people who will mute you for saying the F word than people who actually do something.

     

    You aren't forced to do anything different, but you should. If you aren't going to don't accept the [bleep]ing modship.

     

    Afaik Player Mod reports for bots aren't handled any differently than normal players reporting them, so it doesn't matter who reports them in that case. Your attitude is the exactly opposite of what makes a good player mod. There are better ways of dealing with things than reporting every single person you see for doing the smallest stuff. Going out of your way to find these people is not why I play this game. I use my "powers" when the need arises, I don't go looking for reasons to use it and in my opinion no mod should.

    I wouldn't mute/report for doing "the smallest stuff", just the obvious scammers/botters who clearly have no intention of stopping. And please explain how attempting to mass ban a lot of the obvious rule breakers is a bad thing? Seems like a pretty effective way of dealing with it, they get muted so they can no longer scam and then they are potentially punished further by Jagex. Considering i see 10+ scammers at any time at w2 GE the current way that Jagex/player moderators are "dealing with things" clearly is NOT working.

     

    If PMods started to mute every scammer at GE w2, which would take no longer than a few minutes to do, scammers would come to know that w2 GE is a guaranteed mute/ban and would become far to scared to pull any scams there. And yes, that doesn't solve the problem entirely, but it does a decent chunk of damage to scammers in general and perhaps makes them think about the consequences before they try to scam again.

    Also, i managed to trick skull some CT botters with familiars the other day. Works wonders.

    Lets look at this for a moment. The rich are rich, and always get richer. Those who don't have the stats can not be rich, nor can they make money in order to get their stats up so that they can become richer.

    Failed logic is failed.

     

    Combat training is free/cheap enough for ANYONE to max out if they actually want to. It isn't a matter of people not being able to make money, they just don't want to have to put the grind in to do so.

     

    You don't need stats or money to make decent cash. Start out doing something easy, green dragons for example. Get a few mil, start flipping. I was making upwards of 10m an hour within a few days of the release of free trade, and can still do so now (given the resources i had back then).

     

    If you are bad at the game why do you deserve to be good just because you/your parents can afford to buy some [cabbage]?

    Also, if Jagex were to ever do this, they wouldn't consider the impacts on the RS economy if it hindered the cash flow for them. I would bet top dollah that you could get an AGS for under £50.

    In short - Yes.

     

    [bluff] Not only do we catch hundreds of thousands people through our current systems [/bluff], but people who think they can get away with it just once or twice by popping in-game to bot now have the added risk of bumping into a group of 200 players, 5+ JMods and a load of PMods. Where we go is random, we cover all worlds [bluff] and people cheating should be worried [/bluff].

     

    There is no such thing as a 'safe' place to cheat. If you cheat, you're going to get caught. If it's not instant, it will catch up with you.

    Um... Lol? I'll be the first to call bull-[cabbage]. For catching hundreds of thousands each year, they can't even manage to find the ones I report a Soul Wars who have been there for 3 months.

     

    Nice scare tactic Jagex. Let's see how many people you manage to fool. Your bot detection system is garbage. End of story.

    Lol that i have an account with 96 mining. Been at least 2 years now Jagex, how long does it take you to "catch up"?

    You might want to re-read the rules of this thread located on the first post again. There's nothing that says you cannot post pk/stake videos, only pictures.

     

    If Jagex takes a stand that any loopholes of their rules are still violations of their terms and conditions, it would seem logical for a forum to do the same.

     

     

    I think you just have somethign against 999134 because I don't see you [bleep]ing and moaning when sharksman3 posts his pk pics. Oh, and the video also has him getting 99 summoning, so it's related to this thread as well, it's not just pking. :wink:

    PKing pics get 0 feedback anywhere other than here, graveyard is pointless...

    Idgaf if i lose [cabbage] due to my own fail, but when its down to jagex it pisses me off.

     

    + about NH PKing, who do you hate more... Me, the korasi/claw rusher who 95% of the time is rushing rushers since they risk bank, or the annoying as korasi PJers/clawers that camp the edge of the wild? Yeah i do rush the occasional normal PKer too, but only if they are being stupid and risking 5m+ without protecting.

     

     

    Also, just because i rush doesn't mean that i can't PK. Last time i went PKing i downed 14.5m in 30 minutes -.-

    Sounds to me like Korasi's protected over claws, considering you were using protect item. Your story doesn't seem right.

    Korasi protects over loadddsssssss.

    Your fault for risking something you can't deal with losing.

    ^ Clearly doesn't understand that he didn't lose it, he was SCAMMED out of it. Not his fault, not down to luck, just down to Jagex's inability to do [cabbage] about glitches in the duely within 12 years of them being discovered.
