INteresting, but there is one thing to remember:
Chessy was only recovered because she exposed herself all over the net saying she was probably the richest player around. There are probably players with more money, but those may not be known.
The same person who "hacked" Chessy018 (Andy/Sly) also managed to "hack" Win All Day, but WAD wouldn't provide him with the bank pin so he wasn't able to steal the wealth.
i thought WAD xfered the money to a different account before the hacking?
According to what he told me, when he "hacked" WAD the wealth was still on the account but it had a bank pin. He, Andy, was trying to get WAD to tell him what the bank pin was. WAD was able to recover the account before the pin was removed, and then he transferred the wealth to a safe undisclosed account of his.
@Jimmyw3000: Lol if I were you I would remove that screenshot. You wouldn't believe how much information can be found by just knowing an username.

Hey all. I managed to get an interview with Chessy018's hacker. Although I knew a decent amount of what actually happened, I thought it would be interesting to know everything. Here it is. Unreleased pictures at the end of the interview. Also, an update to the RS2 Fact Sheet is finally coming.
Me: Hello!Andy - Sly: Hi
Me: How long have you been in the business of recovering accounts?
Andy - Sly: On and off about a year, but stopped for a long time until free trade
Me: Oh, hmm. How did you come up with the idea to recover Chessy018?
Andy - Sly: It started as a joke between me and a friend and then we started to gather information and actually decided to go for it, Plus the amount of money on the account was unreal.
Me: Nice. For how long did you research Chessy018?
Andy - Sly: Most of the information was done in a few days, It was relatively easy seeing as she exposed herself alot.
Me: Yea, a lot of videos and articles on her. Were you the only person in this project or were others included?
Andy - Sly: Others were included, Jaems & Chainsaw.
Me: Oh. What (non-specific please) methods of research did you use?
Andy - Sly: The internet. Anything is possible when you put your mind to it.
Me: How many attempts did you make at recovering Chessy018 before the one which was actually accepted?
Andy - Sly: 5 previous attempts
Me: Could you provide a summary progression of what the deny reasons were throughout the appeals?
Andy - Sly: Mostly all was previous passwords & nothing
Me: Oh. What was going through your mind (and your friends') when you first logged into Chessy018?
Andy - Sly: Fairly shocked that I managed it and worried as there was a 3 day bank pin, And my friends were pretty pissed the account got locked before their share.
Me: I would be completely blown away. You waited 72 hours for the bank pin to be removed, correct?
Andy - Sly: Correct
Me: Once the bank pin was removed, what was your immediate plan of action?
Andy - Sly: I streamed it to a few friends as I opened and we was instantly ready to xfer.
Me: Oh. What actually happened once the bank pin was removed?
Andy - Sly: We transferred most of it, leaving the account with some cash aswell and then JaGeX jumped into action as they rightfully should and multiple accounts was locked, even accounts that hadn't done anything was locked and all accounts linked to that IP was also locked.
Me: For about how long did you have possession of Chessy018 after the bank pin was removed?
Andy - Sly: An hour or so, I left the account as soon as most of the bank was gone.
Me: Oh. You guys must had transferred everything off very fast. Once Chessy018 was locked, how long did it take for Jagex to begin locking/banning?
Andy - Sly: Someone in chessy's cc somehow knew my RSN & it spreaded like wildfire and people made forum posts so everyone that had contact with chessy that day got locked. And this only took a matter of hours
Me: Snap. As of now (March 19th, 2011) what is your overall wealth [from Chessy018]?
Andy - Sly: Personally none as I've left my accounts for a while and I'm waiting for a response from JaGeX as they'll definately contact me but friends have gotten away with some of the cash, But the amount, I will not release, sorry.
Me: Completely understood. Must be a lot anyhow. Would it be safe to say it's over a couple billions?
Andy - Sly: Yes.
Me: Do you believe Jagex will pursue legal action?
Andy - Sly: The only thing they can prosecute me for is "Unauthorized Access" but then even they granted me access to the account when I recovered it so it wasn't unauthorized. Also they need to think how their case would stand in a court, It would pretty much be a waste of time.
I do hope this opens their eyes though on how serious they should take account security.
Me: I agree. They, Jagex themselves, gave you access to the account. You didn't keylog, whale, or phish Chessy018. Wouldn't really stand up too good in court. You released 5 screenshots of Chessy018. Bank, items kept on death, trade window, GE, and you on the account. Are there any other screenshots you, or your friends, have?
Andy - Sly: Yes, but i'm not releasing them as of yet.
Me: Understood. I completely believe you are Sly, as I found your e-mail via one of your posts, but future readers won't have any ways of verification. Could you, please, release one or possibly two to me? If I may say, I have digged up many old TipIt posts from pre-2003 which describe amazing bugs, ect. All of the images are as "Posted Image" - AKA forever lost.
Andy - Sly: I'll send you an unreleased picture.
Me: Would you like to provide a censored screenshot of your current overall wealth?
Andy - Sly: My personal wealth is nothing, I've abandoned my accounts as of now as JaGeX wants to investigate them which is what they will be doing.
Me: Any other unreleased screenshots that you would like to release?
Andy - Sly: No, But i'd like to have my say about the "Hacking". As some of you may see it as a "Hacking", It was recovered. A feature in JaGeX's system which allows you to recover an account which you have information for. I was granted access to the account when JaGeX accepted the request and therefore none of this was unauthorized.
Me: Correct. Hence why I used quotation marks. Anything else you would like to say?
Andy - Sly: If Mod Mark or any other member of JaGeX wish to contact me to ask questions on any kind of flaws in their recovery systems i'll be willing to help them if they'd accept my help. They can contact me via my private e-mail which was linked to my accounts.
Me: Alright. Thank you for allowing me to interview you, Andy. This has finalized the interview.
Andy - Sly: No problem Tom. A lot of people I know have also been wrongly locked down to me which is unfair in my opinion. They've had nothing to do with it and gained nothing from this and the only accounts that should be locked are mine.

I noticed a couple pages back Zarfot's "life", efficiency, and 10 hour days were being discussed about... him being glorified for 10hr days, being efficient... ect..
Well just do the simple math. In the real word, playing an online game for 10 hours each day is pretty much the same as 16-18 (drumgun). Here:
24 hours in a day
-10 hours online gameplay
= you're left with 14 hours.
sleep for 6-8 hours
=
8 hours left (6 slept)
7 hours left (7 slept)
6 hours left (8 slept)
So he only is left with 6-8 hours each day to:
(italics mean that this is optional, he may or may not had this in his life)
- attend college (he stated that he did)
>> driving to college, parking, walking to class, being in class, leaving class, walking to parking spot, driving back home, parking, entering home
- cook or open up his breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- set up his plate (this can take very little or an okay amount of time)
- eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- have a "social" life (broad term)
- wash his face, brush his teeth
- have a shower
- commute to work (depends on traffic)
- arrive at work, set up, and begin working
- leave work, begin commute home
- paying your bills every once in a while
- more
These plus many other real life obligations mean that in reality, Zarfot was as much as a "no lifer" as Drumgun is. Just look at that list (and it isn't even completed with daily LIFE requirements). Six to eight hours is not enough to be able to even do half of do all of that and still be considered a "normal" person by society's standard.
The reason why Zarfot quit the game seems rather obvious to me. I'm not trying to be an ignorant idiot who can't see things from others perspective... No, I understand where Drumgun is coming from. Anyway. Zarfot probably realized that this was only a game. The "experience" you gain are only pixels that can be viewed online. I'm sorry to be harsh here but there truly is no future if you have Runescape severely dominating over your life or even if Runescape is your life. Again, Zarfot likely realized then and decided to move on from the game, and focus on his life.
@Drumgun: I hate math too. All of the overcomplicated stuff taught in classroom is never used in the real life. Waste of time imo.

Anyways. I don't know what the current subject is, but I want to post this anyway. I've been lurking this thread for some time now and it saddens me that people can't understand others perspectives.
Drumgun plays a lot (18hrs/day) but that is his choice and his life. It is not your life. The fact and the matter is that he has 2.3B+ total experience (continues to increase at a fast rate). That is simply the method he has chosen to play the game. Other top players have a lower amount of daily play time. This does not make Drumgun any less efficient... at the end of the day, he is amongst the top players... like it or not... Also about Drum not having 200M Slayer... Are you serious? No other top players have 200M Slayer so stop shoving it up his (you know). It takes years to get... it's a slow skill. Getting or having 200m slayer does not make you a more efficient player, it just means that you have this as your goal and as such you've chosen to attempt to achieve.

Just a quick mistake find, the first player to 150m slayer is "toony001", you wrote "toony011" just a simple mistake, but fix it please incase others wish to look him up.

Does anyone have a map picture of the pre-bounty hunter Wilderness? I'm planning on making it interactive - much like TipIt's current world map. Instead of linking to guides, you would click an area and be redirected to a page with pictures of such area. I think this is fitting for the upcoming update.. plus it would be pretty cool.Luckily I have this bookmarked :)
Nice! It's pretty hard to find world maps.. the Gower Archive (now long offline) used to contain every single RS1 world map. Anyways, I uploaded a couple of those world maps (11/26/2007, one in 2006, and one in 2004). Should those Imageshack images ever go offline (will eventually), you can find the pics here :):

Elvemage was a stupid pk er imo, but he was very famous.
Also early rsc you could wield knifes....not just one, several at once and the str bonus was very high!
There was a bug when they created mahogany and teak trees, in the tai bwo wannai (that correct spelling) village you could woodcut those trees and with every log a bird nest would drop.
I don't think many players know this.

I don't remember the exact dates, but when I started in late 01, early 2002, L6vi was #1, and then he quit and TKS took #1 for a while before Choppermad got it. Not sure if this has been mentioned or not as this is the first time I'm viewing this thread and I don't have time to go through 8 pages :P.

For 200m firsts (p2p), it's obviously the #1 in that skill.
And none of the #1's are 100% f2p as far as I know.
For most skills, that would be the case. However, therehave been a few who have been banned. I would also try to get first to 50M, 100M, and 150M in such skill to make it as complete as possible. This would require a ton of digging up old websites/ect. In other words, too much to handle especially since some of the skills have been in the game since its release.

The bank picture with the 82 crackers is nuts. I wonder if he really is the richest player.

25.4.2006: Something happened on rsof and everyone became a Jagex Mod (only on forums). This occured only for 15 minutes or so until the forums were closed. I personally witnessed this and even used the admin controls.
I were able to search all players and see their ban history (Of course I searched Zezima etc lol). Also Jagex used some Bad chi/Good chi-thingy to give player reputation. Can't remember much anymore..

To be frankly honest, this will do very little to nothing to stop botting. All they have to do is rework some simple lines of codes, and their bots should be functional again.

other than that I only have an image of me making snowmen from one of the christmas events in the Tzhaar fight pits. which is pretty much unusable.
Also one thing that you may be interested in looking into is the gnomecopters, because it just happens that atleast 15 of the fake Players in the minigame portions of the gnomecopters were named after Tip.it staff members(from around when it was released, such as Agplus being Sliverion [for those who don't know chemistry, silver is Ag, and being an ion means it has a positive charge])

Proper grammar may help with this.
Joking aside, if you install program that has a key logger built in, it can bypass antiviruses. Download spybot search and destroy, then open your computer in safe mode by tapping f8 while it's booting. If it doesn't find anything, formatting is an option.
I doubt that program would had been able to detect it.. it slipped through two antiviruses and as well as other specialized anti-malware programs.
Remove AVG, having 2 antiviruses is very bad as they will conflict with each other. Keep Microsoft Security Essentials and download Malwarebytes, then scan with both programs. At least malwarebytes should detect and delete it.
I'm now using ESET Nod32. Thanks to The Pirate Bay for the free key :).

I don't appreciate when people make comments like this. Simply because I didn't reply it does not mean that I don't care about what you guys think. At the time I created this topic, I was still in the chaos of it all. I recovered an account, but when I recovered it I was still keylogged. So he only changed the password. I now have the account in my possession, and it's safe.
Since so many antiviruses (well, two lol) and some programs missed it, I figured that it would take too much effort to remove it. I decided to reformat.. as the computer needed a new start anyway.
Well, I decided to .rar compress the things I care about, move to a DVD, and reformat everything.
The compressed files could have a virus too, making the reformat totally useless...
True. I have been suspecting of this and I have decided to leave the DVD somewhere... in my room lol.

Does anyone have screenshots of Halloween, Easter, Christmas, ect events from 2004 until the most recent (2010)? I want to collect them until I have a decent amount and then add it to the fact sheet.
