  1. What do guys think this will mean for SWTOR? Will it solve it's problems?

It was crap at launch, it was crap after it was patched, and being free won't help with all the restrictions they have in place. The problem with SWTOR is that it is a bad MMO.

  2. I really wish I would have played Guild wars. I am really wanting to get the lore of this game. I know about the races for sure, but the dragons and how they came to be interest me more then I thought it would. I have a lot of reading to do before the game comes out.

The dragons were already there before the Gods came to Tyria. If you want to know more about the lore, look up WoodenPotatoes on youtube, he has an amazing channel.

So what server were you guys on? We may have fought. I was the Asura engineer for Jade Quarry that rained grenades into the crowd and took down all the enemy siege weapons with mortars.

    I'm playing on desolation.

  3. To be honest, on the mount and blade. Warband is going incredibly cheap on its own, and it's all you need to access the many great mods. The add ons look so-so, and you won't really want the original after playing warband. Get M&B warband.

    I agree.

  4. We don't need a "hurrr piracy isn't stealing" debate in this thread.

I'm also not implying that I pirated them. I own 4 legitimate win7 keys that I paid 0$ for.

Chances are, if you already own a pc, you already own a key.

  5. Finally Sword Art Online aired, first episode followed light novels to 100% couldn't be more happy :c

SOA is riddled with plot holes.

The premise of SAO is interesting, so I'll stick around for a couple more episodes.

If you like the premise of SAO, try Yureka, 1/2 Prince and the .Hack series!

P.S: Berserk ch. 330 out friends!

  6. By that token I could just steal a home console instead. It costs literally zero if done correctly, making this a very facile debate indeed.

Let's just assume that, y'know, people actually pay for the OS.

When I say I have free windows 7 keys, I'm not implying that I stole them.

  7. Just looked on a UK general electronics site (Currys)

That was your first and last mistake. You don't buy prebuilt computers, ever. Your argument is PC gaming is worst because people are too stupid to buy in the right places?

  8. Tournaments are hella fun!

I bet they are. I am not very keen on PvP because of lack of experience.

Is there anyway I could add you once the game comes out? I am considered a noob and by the post you have posted, you are a veteran. I'd like to have as many friends as possible, especially someone life you.

Are you EU? If so, I can PM you the guild I'm in. If not, sure, you can add me once the game is out, no problem.

  9.

Until PC gaming becomes 'mainstream' I'll stick to that opinion. If we assume that PC games are superior to their console counterparts--which, for what it's worth, I honestly believe that they are by virtue of the fact PCs are simply more powerful--then why are so many people still playing those very same games on consoles which provide an inferior experience?

That's an easy question to answer. Consoles appeal to the lowest common denominator: Kids and casual gamers. Not everybody has the know-how to build a decent computer, and not everybody feels the need to experience gaming at its best.

  10. As much as they're meant to be played on the PC, even the Elder Scrolls games are better played on a controller if you're a stealth-based character: you have more control over your movement speed thanks to the stick, while on a PC you're limited to toggling between the fastest speed and a generic 'slow' speed.

I just did a pacifict + foxiest of hounds playthrough of deus ex human revolution on my pc, no shooting, sneaking only. And it worked perfectly. Normally, those speed thresholds are perfectly fine for stealth.

  11. PC has games designed for mouse and keyboard, while consoles have games designed for controllers.

PC has games designed for mouse and keyboard, but that doesn't mean the controller isn't the superior alternative at times. Being "designed for" doesn't necessarily mean that option is the best one.

Console shooters are designed for the controller, but a mouse and keyboard would be the superior option. Games like Assassin's Creed where you don't have to aim are on PC too, and a controller is arguably the better option for those too. Darksiders is another exampel of that.

  12. But I'm not though. My opinions might be unpopular but again this is a forum for a PC game.

Your opinions are unpopular because most of them are based on falsehoods and ignorance.

  13. Skyrim is also a console game. One of the biggest flaws it was criticized for was being too console centric.

Try Crysis. Came out 4 years ago. Max it out (with 1920x1080 resolution at the minimum) and then take a screen shot and post it here.

And shall we compare it with a screenshot from console crysis? That's the point, right?

    Crysis_1_PC_vs_Xbox_360-s955x1238-234958.jpg

Even if his PC can't run crysis on ultra, crysis on med on PC is vastly superior to crysis on a console. Even if the graphics looked the same (which they don't, not even remotely), his PC would be getting at least 60fps.

    Oh SNAP. Dx9.

    Too bad Dx11 is out.

How is Dx11 treating consoles these days?
