My recovery questions were/are completely made up and not written down anywhere.
My JAG was still enabled when I got my account back (sans wealth.)
I have absolutely no idea how said hacker(s) were able to recover it without those systems stopping them/tripping some alarm.
I'm not too upset about losing bank (I can make it back should Jagex choose not to return it,) I'm just bothered that this can happen.
Happened to me while my account was inactive (so I had no idea about it) someone somehow "recovered" my account successfully and dropped all my rares/items, left me with pretty much nothing.
u can get back ur rares from diango.
i think its 50/50 players and jagex fault that they getting cleaned from hacking, if they manage to get email access and, if jagex removes jag, because some1 sent an letter from hacked email and after that they removes jag, then it's really flawed system.... whats the point of having it, if that should protect from email hacks too....i think they should make again vote for pin generator(the thing which1 used for wow or irl bank accaunts), which one failed in 2k11 or 2k10, jagex should care about players more, because usually ppl who got scammed, they just quit the game :l-

They remote controlled his computer, therefore they didn't need JAG. Password was keylogged. The question is if Jagex will return his items when the account only was accessed from his own IP?
They shouldn't. No regular player would get their items back, top 15 players shouldn't get special privileges.
Incase you wasn't aware, they tried out a thing where they refunded hijacked accounts items, for a while, but something went wrong and they put a few million too many archer rings on some guys acc and it made them crash. So it's not special privileges, just a new thing they have been trying out, if someone gets hijacked for all their shit they deserve to get it given back, regardless of if they're top 15 or top 150,000
No they do not "deserve to get it given back". I'm sorry but keeping your account secure is very simple. I've been playing for 8 years or so and i've never had anyone access my account unless i allowed it. You can't try and say that it's because i'm not "known" enough because enough of the "wrong kind of people" knew who i was when staking was still big and stakers still sold a lot.
It sucks that he got hacked, but if you're going to be careless (even though you're unaware that you're being so), then you have to expect that it's going to happen at some point. It's not that hard to keep things secure.

I'm not certain this disables it but it says disable so idk, never clicked it lol
if it does completely remove it tho, whats the point of even having it >.>
if u want disable it u need to answer 3/5 ur questions :p

apparently the hacker did something to impersonate dseance to call up his ISP and make them sort his ip so he could log onto rs, I'm not sure about that though just something I briefly heard earlier

You can change someone's name without being able to log into the game because of JAG

Im pretty sure noone here except dseance could confirm whether it is or is not fake. Although there's nothing wrong with speculating either.
It's not speculation because the hacker was in the Cc talking about it. So, unless Dragon is dumb enough to do this as a joke then there is no point in speculating facts.

I don't care about EE or any other clan, nice pointless assumption. I made the post to prove some random kid wrong who posted with "l0l fake" like a 12 year old without providing evidence as to why it'd be fake. And hackers don't have to bother to post a bank pic, they showed the most expensive items that everyone would care about. Dragon obviously didn't have a pin cos "lol xpwaste" so he was an easy target.
its 10-20% of his bank... since he had almost all set of rares.+other stuff. well waiting for gnr back it seems hes on vacation or something :)
p.s. in worst senario, jagex will give back items back (i hope not 2m christmas crackers)

People do things like this all the time in real life and you guys don't seem to get it, part of the reason why it amuses me. If you could cheat on a exam and you were 100% sure that you will get max grade and 100% sure that you won't get caught, would you do it? Of course you would! And that's even worse than buying spins since buying spins is legal and copying isn't.
Or you could study and get a high grade on an exam and actually use the information to benefit you on future projects/jobs. if you cheat on an exam it proves you don't have enough knowledge of the subject and will do bad on the job. So no I wouldn't cheat unless it was a class like english that i don't care about.
usually normal jobs places care about your experience not about ur grades, which ones u can buy it, not to mention there is two diferent things between knowledge and grinding books 10-12 years to memorise everything. lol so many ppl who are millionaires drop uni it shows, that ur exams means nothing in life. i know so many ppl who had 100% from all exams and still working shity work for minimum wage....

Wtf happened to this thread lol. Anyway, there is some good competition in that top ten, alkan and gunnar are still very close, although gunnar might have a larger lead than appears because of bonus xp, but alkan still plays more so it kind of evens out.
Fors and Goud are very close however fors is destroying xp where as goud has slowed down a little bit.
Jdel could be the next person to 200m all after drum and fors if he starts playing more however he does have a family now so thats difficult
jdela wont be second or anytime soon since im pretty sure ppl will buy spins l0l
