Oddly, I wasn't unnerved by him even though I was 12-13 at the time when I saw him. Amon was the first thing in years and that is counting getting into things like Doctor and watching Madoka. Maybe I am horror-tolerant.

As I'm apparently a nightmare fetishist as well, I spent most of that scene with the same expression as a kid during Christmas.

Shame he is a wasted character. Since Korra is the first Water Tribe avatar since Korruk (read: the guy who tried to kill Koh), one would figure he'd resurface in the Sequel Series. I mean, if the can get away with a murder-suicide on a Saturday Morning cartoon, they can make Koh more horrifying, like snatch a child's face on screen and detailed.
