Does anyone know of an efficient/afk method for heist. Like what are the rates and also is there a guide out there. I searched one but i remember seeing some high level players just afk the whole game so idk if thats the best method or if they payed to leech it
Unless you pay for 100% games / or just have friends willing to, it's not efficient. All this stuff you could just google lol

Tell a non video gamer who has worked their whole life and is actually sucessfull that you play runescape for 12-18 hours a day and feel its ok to do. After they finish laughing at you for 20-30 seconds they will call you an idiot.
Is that from personal experiences? You told someone you knew and they laughed? cause I'm sure if someone has been working a lot and got a successful work career they aren't going to bother dissing other people's choices or laugh in their face, they know that they worked on what they wanted and others did what they wanted

Ya people act like some people who play a lot of rs are no lifers, but in the professional world there are people who also no life, maybe even harder. I doubt there are people on the scale of drumgun, but there are definetly people pulling 12-15 hour days, plus commuting, etc, working off of 4-6 hours of sleep.
I heard a quote somewhere saying "if you want to achieve be prepared to stay up for 3 days straight sometimes, if you arent doing that your doing something wrong" That wasnt the exact quote but you get the idea.

People who play a lot of rs are no lifers because they are not directly effecting or increasing their means in 'real life'. Something with which I agree. People in the professional world are in the real world and therefore their 'no lifing' as you called it, directly affects their means of life.
You cannot compare someone who is working 12 hours at a real life job and then going home and making dinner and then sleeping 4-6 hours to someone who sits in front of a computer for 12 hours+ gaining virtual exp/gp. Reading half the posts about this topic on this thread make me cringe inside because of the fact that people actually think RS is a way of life and that it is respectable because you are doing what you like. Everyone who no lifes RS is sacrificing IRL no matter what the situation. You tell me someone who gains 300m exp a month is respected or actually achieves something outside of RS? I'd probably not believe that.
You cannot defend or deem runescape no lifing as either a way of life, or a respected decision regardless of what personal opinions are on the matter. But don't worry, I respect drumgun for playing rs for 16 hour/day 10 years and to jebroom on his 20 hour/day month!
Skilling is life, though.

@Jebrim: Most of the time I felt running was for me faster than surging. I don't know why, but I seem to almost always outpace someone by just running instead of surging. If I surge, I am kinda stunned for a few ticks before the game would respond to my clicks again.
If you compare the different tick times, surging is still faster. You should also make sure that if you choose to not surge that you don't take the northern route. Doing so is actually slower than the middle or southern route when just running. Surge on other courses is a bigger Xp rate increase than Barb.
FPF is a great example of a good update. For content to be used it needs to be worth your time, but the xp rates were justified. Id rather see faster methods come into the game like that. And also, even though fpf was great, i still can't believe silver hawk boots ruined agility when it was in such a good place. The bonus xp helped some people with the monotony but the xp rates were still boosted just slightly overall, and it also got more people to BA and work as a team. It was bringing people together and also got people training agility more. Its too late now to do anything about sh boots but its just a shame they did that to agility when it was so good
Good post, I agree. Although the bonus xp/hr from BA was/is a little overpowered, it was obviously nothing compared to the insanity of silverhawk boots. Agility should just be removed from the game now lol it's so retarded.
Well if Agility were removed, then all my Xp would go byebye lol.

Personally I'm a bit disappointed that the meta has become so well established that there simply aren't new feasible (In terms of time efficiency) methods being discovered. I loved seeing all the abstract things that people came up with whether it was as simple as fletching while training other skills, or lava geyser mining. I'm personally hoping that more of this happens with invention to help mix up the race to (then) 5.6b and possibly give those who don't hit 5.4 by then a chance to catch up.

Here is a very fun project just for you licert! in case jagex nerfs barb assault and we need a new quick way to agility for us non silverhawk boot players, You should go do us all a favor and spend hours and hours on figuring out how to do fpf like Jebrim did then report it back to us! You can make a guide and everything. I know you wont, even though you seem to be upset that there are no methods to discover.

I haven't logged on in a week and I'm not about to log on for agility, you can go do it for me if you'd like. I'm not upset about new methods not being discovered, why would you think that..? Couldn't care less about methods or this game in general ATM.

Speaking of traders, my friend CrystalFarm gave me a tip about the XP I thought I'd let you all in on - If you're only doing it for thieving, as soon as you don't get the XP popup (when you get stunned), quickly relog - You won't be stunned when you log back in!
Shame my computer sucks & by the time I relog the stun would've already been gone :-(
