  1. No i'm saying it's dumb that it can't be toggled.

I posted earlier that nobody is being forced,

    now they are.

I'm against seperating PvE/PvP but i'm tired of all the hate ahahah...

Then again same could be said about Warbands which is only half truth because you can get any rate outside of the wilderness + you can get brawlers everywhere now too. I've dubbed it safe by now lol

  2. I was really surprised the Wildywyrm was not a toggle task. It's how I would have personally implemented it and I don't identify myself as someone who hates the wilderness. Boss-like monsters are toggleable, so monsters that are going to feature player versus player combat should be toggleable as well. Even in the Old School Runescape Wilderness rejuvenaton, you don't have to kill the bosses, fish the fish, etc. But if you get a wildywyrm task and have no slayer points, you're out of luck. Makes no sense.

At the same time there's a bit of me saying that you should just go into the wilderness. You risk nothing now with the three item thing protect thing and from what I've heard people aren't too aggressive over there. I'm looking forward to more wilderness centered updates.

    That's dumb... (toggle)

  3.

You can't expect to not get pked in the wildy.

That's the reason right there. Personally, I don't like pking. Runescape pvp is frustrating, not fun, and I don't want to have to worry about it when doing a non-pvp activity (slayer).

I also don't like how Jagex has always pushed these updates as something to "increase activity" in the wilderness. Turning one ditch into a pvp ground zero doesn't restore the wilderness to its former glory; it removes all of the fun from the primary users of the content. The wilderness should be populated with people who want to pvp, and there are hundreds of games that prove people will compete with each other with the only reward being the fight. The fact that the wilderness is a ghost town isn't due to there not being enough skillers running around, it's due to pvp not being inherently fun enough to keep a stable pool of players around. Forcing players into a pvp zone by sacrificing potentially good content is not, and historically has never been the answer.

Personally, I don't like getting griefed at bosses and skill resources. I'll gladly fight over them in Wilderness though. Green drags all over ^-^

You mean runite being the endgame gear and only to be found in Wilderness?

Go rago, stay out of wild

problem solved, dw the weapons aren't 2b for years on end and you don't have to be in a special clique to go kill them.

    Self-sufficient PK gear ftw

Now I can barrow, do ports, kill revs, hunt wirms, PK crashers and feed on their rage  :)

  4. Share your ideas, i'll seaport anything from TIF members. Usually well though out lol

    Rat Pits Rework.

Inb4gamble, yeah i'd rather choose my own stakes then pray to RNGeesus.

Also trading in cats for death runes is cruel, cat love pls

    Multiple Clues

Please give me back my sanity... This would be awesome.

    Better new trouble brewing rewards

Those elfen hybrids? Bunch of BS this minigame doesn't have any of those.

    mage training arena

    l70-78 wands pls

Edit: Helring youre item sink is great idea, supports!

  5.

Man there is a reason why this armor despite having "low" stats is expensive. It's extremely rare. I know you might not like my advice, but if you want to get 3rd age, the best way would be to find your fastest cash earning method, and do that linearly until you have enough cash to buy it, rather than shooting your chance at the lottery over and over. Even some of the most famous clue scroll hunters here on TIF don't even have a full 3rd age set (from clues), if I recall correctly. But it's up to you...

I don't want it so I can keep it, I want it so I can make a bunch of cash by selling it.

There are a LOT of better ways to make money than by attempting to get 3a from clues. 3a has the level of rarity that, given that it comes from clue scrolls which are inconsistently obtained, you shouldn't expect it at all across your entire career of playing RS. Maybe if you opened up your playstyle a bit more you'd be able to explore some better options for making money  ;)

Decade of playing but i'm not sure if I passed the 10k mark yet although I do actively hunt then. That's hards since forever, since 3a release and since elites a couple of thousands. I had a log on old computer, ugh

I don't play anymore, logged intoday to 200m offer xD

  6. I'm sorry, but I tried old school runescape, and all it did was remind of how thankful I am for the useful updates.

What is so great about old school RuneScape?

I am gonna go over things I don't like.

The map is on a separate page instead of in the game itself, at the top of that you have to manually scan your eyeballs to find something instead of typing the name of what you're looking for.

When you go to a bank it doesn't automatically heal you. I might not have minded having to steal from the bread stall in the past, but now I hate it as I have to fight these crappy guards.

And worst of all, no mithril dragons.

I honestly think that the people who say old RuneScape is better are just having nostalgia goggle glued on. I don't really see what's so great about the 2007 runescape.

EDIT: Somebody who replied explained to me what's so great about it. I still prefer the modern RS though.

Full Loot PvP and actual PKing, Devs looking to expand PvP opportunities, Wilderness expansions, no ridiculous bugged Combat UI, hasn't been digested by Powercreep completely and most of all economy still has some value, death still has a meaning. You can build 100's of different accounts all with their own niche specialty or use due to the different combat formula and ofcourse NOSTALGIA.

Whilst your success is somewhat based on your gear it's not as ridiculous as wear seismics you win.

Want to go stake 100's of millions in EoC? Wouldn't even care.

    1. Nostalgia.

    2. Super simple combat system easy to understand.

    3. Ain't nobody got time to learn new gameplay mechanics. Everything is the same from the first time you started playing.

    4. PVP is alive.

    5. NO FUDGING MICROTRANSACTIONS.

    6. No updates go in the game without approval from the community beforehand.

    7. If the community demands for an update, it will happen.

    8. Good press compared to rs3.

    9. Majority of your old friends play oldschool.

    10. People don't like drastic changes.

    11. Don't fix what does not need fixing.

And before you ask, I am rs3 player and rarely log in to 07.

^This, don't even own an 07 account. Highlighted numero 5 a bit though.
  7. Started playing this game on Steam called Nosgoth. It's a f2p 4v4 vampire vs. human game, and it's pretty fun. It kinda reminds me of vs. L4D2, but it's pure TDM. It's early access so it's a little bit buggy but overall it's solid for a f2p game.

Ello abomination called spork, i'm fork.

Add me on Steam "Kempomeester" if you want to NOM HUMANS! :3

  8.

Thinking about this further I think there would only be 1 fair way to implement this proposed system.

And that would be basing the cost off a calculation of total bank worth minus the value of items within the death system.

This value could then dictate the charge made.

Because this way uber riches with banks worth like 3-10 or more times the value of the gear they are risking can safely be slapped with large death bills, whilst the poor folks who might have like 99.999999....% of their wealth in that one set of gear they slaved for to try out some pvm can't be hit with massive charges they can never hope to pay.

So you want mule accounts to be a thing again?

    Dude

you know how long RS has been focusing on PvM and skrewing the rest over?

People made billions upon billions several times over with their rago tea party.

    I have three

  9. Yeah the fletching guild is in Yanille where all buy yews, bowstrings & flax and make noobs happy

and we all have such laughs whilst we craft our bows and high alch them for profit or for loss!

No sorry, that's been gone for almost 8 years or so? The Grand Exchange traded goods for social contact so no, the guilds are inherently useless now.

i'm in the crafting and cooking guild from time to time.

    Heroes to recharge glories

that's about it, don't care about elves, burn the elfen lands down.

  10. Tekkens, Dynasty warriors, Syphon Filter(!keep tasering someone),  Tenchu 1-2 (mofokking samurai), Crash Bash/Team racing, Oddworld: Abe's oddyssee (om om om om HERE BOY), Rayman, Spyro (recently played again, the ingame music makes me happy:$), JADE COCOON (recently suggested by a friend, pokemon is for noobs), Tomb raider, Pandemonium, Vigilante 8, Legacy of Kain, Capcom classics (this is probably PSP port tho), Driver 76, DTM race driver, Micromachines, Monster hunter, Motorstorm, Need for Speed Shift, Dave Mirra BMX challenge, Destruction Derby 2, Flatout, Midnight Club, DRIVER, Gran Turismo 2, Wipeout, Vanark, Medievil, Metal Gear Solid, Colony Wars: Vengeance, Silent Hill, Twisted Metal 2 (one of the first games i've played online since it was online only XD), Tony Hawk, Castlevania...

    STAR WARS:

    Demolition

    The force unleashed

    Lethal alliance

    The clone wars

    Battlefront

    Oh and to utter frustration:

    Intelligent Qube

That's all I can come up with, i'll see if I have my ripped CD collection in the attic

  11. Well we're almost out of EoC beta it seems.

Praying to RNGesus is okay-ish in RS, I have other MMO's with similar odds but then there's twenty other people that have the same chance aswell.

Oh yis much fun seeing your noobguildmember get the drop you've been wanting for ages.

:shrugs: I just go do something else then, better luck next time
