This update scares me, because Jagex wants to treat us like an 2 year old. :|

Same thing happened on 'Neopets' (my lil bro told me this after I solved the mystery)
You see the bank video, weird things happen, you solve the mystery, you get a mysterious prize.
ATM, I am the first one to have beaten it, and have recieved the following:
Blue Party Hat
Saradomin Platebody, Legs, Helmet, Shield
1 Billion coins (Yee-Haw!)
5 Million experience in any 3 skills of your choice
And a new item (I can't say, you'll all have to figure out yourselves)*
*Hint- It's a shield of some sort, that I can't equip yet (It say's I need to wait until the mystery is solved to equip it)--this probably means a number of people have to finish the quest.
Note- It took me 1 week straight (that means doing nothing else on runescape, for maybe 3-4 hours a day) to finish the quest, with tons of assistance from my little brother.
April's fool is 16 days ago.
Anyway, except for the spelling it's a really good guide!

I think cooked trouts are pretty rare :ohnoes:
That was around the worst bump ever seen. Only my main already has 1k in bank. :|
-
The only things that are not going down in price are rares.
The Editor clearly hasn't followed the development of rares price throughout the last ~7 months.
However there's another group of people contributing to the overall downward price trend: Skill cape hunters.I don't get the arguement why skill capes lead to a decrease in the price of material prices if it has any effect on the prices of materials at all. 'Skill cape hunters' need masses of specific materials to train the 'buyable' skills (fast). For the non-buyable skills, gathering those specific materials is usually not the fastest way of training, hence supply caused by skill cape hunters would be smaller then demand caused by skill cape hunters if you ask me --> I'd say skill capes rather lead to an increase in the prices of material prices. In fact, looking at the material prices used in production I believe they actually rose, rather then dropped.
I almost feel the urge to say '+1, 0wn3d pl0x?', but I'll restrain from that. ;)
But I agree with Duke Freedom (how could I not?), especially the rare market surprised me.

Ifs your fault if you die from a glitch. (because its so hard to go upstairs/teleport away from someone attacking you..)
That is really the stupidest I've heard in quite some time... :|
You mean it is your fault that you don't look out every second you are ingame and not in wildy for a Durial and a friend who come and TB and icebarraging you at the same time, and releasing 8 dds specials on you? :|

Educational, in terms of content, no.
But if your main language is not english, you learn lots of words. I'm french, and I learned a lot of words in my years of Rs.
If your main language is english, then u wont learn anything, or hardly.
I hope to god people don't learn their English from RS, or we will have lots of people that can only write bad English or leetspeak in the future.
For me, I don't learn English from RS, but I DO practice English in RS. And practice makes perfect, so in that way I learn English in RS. (I'm Dutch BTW. ;) )
But ontopic:
To be honest, RS being educational is just a big bunch of crap. It's only promoting RS to parents, so more kids will play and subcripe. Fairly logical from Jagex opinion by the way.

So do I need to make 287 Stews with 3 doses orange spice to get +6 construction lvls?
More or less, yes. With that 287 stews you have a 90% change of getting a +6 once. But thats no guarantee! Theoretically you could get 287 times +6, but you could also get not a +6 at all!

This guide is AOW material, absolutely brilliant. I can't fault your data and you have presented your information amazingly. =D>
I agree. :)

The note in the chest pretty much tells you that there will be more quests to come in this series and don't forget what Jagex said about the weapon:
"Perhaps it will be of some use in the distant future..."
Just be patient.
Remember bird eggs?

Awesome rounded stats!
-
Not bad, 12k def XP. But why a 20k gp reward? :S
-
Any ideas on how to make it stop? :anxious:
Stop playing, or put chat to off.
Like said, it is just the human/male nature.
Interesting topic though, I wondered about it as well. I've tried the tactic of searching the highscore for a stat they 'win' in, but most of the time thats way to much work, to be honest. :P
Besides, half the time they don't really listen to it anyways...

I think less people will start going for the common skills. I mean, I can imagine why you wanna have an insured spot for #5 in fletching (or whatever). But whos gonna want to be #20 in cooking?!(I'm assuming the ones that aren't doing it for the total xp(like zezima) are doing it for the fame/attention(not in a bad way)). People will start branching out and try to max out the harder skills (so there's still #1 spots in several skills still up for grabs  ). And it might bring ALOT of money out of the game once people start going for construction (don't get why they havn't already, so fast to get exp) and it will bring a few billion coins out ( )
Don't know if this is how It'll happen, but just what I thought out after the past few months.
Yeah, thats totally true. So I think we don't see more then 21 cookers with 200m XP, unless Jagex changes the highscores. ;)
-
Cool stats, and good luck.
BTW: your outfit rocks!

Whoever is on it now isn't the original owner.
Someone used password recovery on it using fake details, and for some reason, was able to get the account.
Then it was up for sale on random illegal sites, so I know for a fact that whoever is using it now didn't create it.
... and you know this how?
Btw a picture of him was posted a bit ago in the dueling arena...
I know this because I saw the topic in which the name was for sale, and people were bidding on it....
I would've assumed you'd deduct that from the last paragraph.
Just wondering, were they bidding real money, or GP?
-
Yeah, I agree. I like this blog. :)

I didn't want to spend my time reading all the 4 pages, but anyway:
It's a pretty good article, although I think the writer has forgotten one important thing:
The ability to worldswitch. That makes a BIG difference. Simply because you could hardly make friends with someone who doesn't play on your server.
-
It is for sure on of the best communities out here (I cant say the best, because I don't know them all), but it doesn't really affect my gaming much.
I like tip.it, go occasionally on the forums, and try to go to as many events as I can, and have fun. But I don't think my gamestyle would be much different then it is now.

Amazing. I always thought it was a crappy minigame, but it seems pretty good.
Nice guide. :)

Woah, gratz on 92 slayer.

My vote is for the Phat. I like the looks from a phat>bunny ears, and then you have the value ofcourse.
But if its phat vs scythe, I'd choose the scythe. Scythe is THE most awesome item. Ever.

The second goal of Riise was a beautiful one. :)
Anyway, PSV played really bad. That was just awful. I could have used my time better, TBH.
-
id have to say at least 50 in circulation, maybe 100 known, and 150 total including unused accounts
Seems like a pretty good guess to me.

Well, tonight PSV-Liverpool.
I support PSV, allthough I'd put my money on Liverpool. They do really well now, surely after the 4-1 against Arsenal.
PSV is doing dramatic at the moment. Kone and Alex are injured, and won't be playing for the rest of the season. Futhermore, PSV lost two weeks ago with 5-1 from Ajax. :| And it was a draw (1-1) against NAC. (NAC is just an average team for the Dutch competition.)
What is YOUR favorite item of all time?
